The place doesn't look like much from the outside, only because it's attached to a petrol station. Don't let that fool you, this is an uuuupscale market. Not only did I find a breakfast bagel that turned out to be the best I've ever tasted, but I found some delightful frufru juice to wash it all down. The sandwich: Egg, cheese, Canadian bacon, and some magical tomato-y? sauce smashed between a poppyseed bun ... Seriously, the best I've ever devoured. I took one bite and I'm pretty sure my eyes popped out of my head at the same moment my brain was thinking "what is this sorcery!?" Tip: They will heat the sammie up for you at the coffee counter.

This is the 3rd time this month that I have gone in and gotten charged full price for a sale item…read moreand the cashier working hasn't even bothered to do a price check. Like I am incompetent at reading a price tag. Went in last week for lettuce and had to go to Centex because they were seriously selling heads of delapidated lettuce that should have ended up with the food bank days before and for full price too! I will be walking the extra few blocks for groceries from now on, at least Centex has fresh food and Save On will check the price tag.

A chain store of a large corporation, so there's a lot here you know you can expect... Large,…read morebright, standardized prices, for starters. Bakery, flowers, deli, lottery, pharmacy and a Starbucks inside flesh things out. Ample parking, although on one side of the parking lot it's more than a bit awkward. Pedestrians take note, it's not easy to follow the cross walks of you're on the "wrong" søde to get to the store. It's larger than it looks from the outside. A section for healthier choices, mostly not-so-healthy choices, some organic options. It takes me a bit to find things usually... It's never where I expect. Which means I need help, to ask someone. Well, in 20 years since I lived in Cranbrook, and now even I come to visit, I've never seen a staff member on the floor. Behind the counter, stocking, at the till, yes. But never just to help people... You'll have to grab someone if you have a question, and even then, they may not know. They're probably on their way to /from a break. Next to the health food store, this is usually the most expensive place in town to get groceries. Still, the produce is solid and rarely do I have to wait for a till (or, à self serve till). All in all it's okay. Nothing to write home about. Solid. Nothing where I'd say, "I have to go to Safeway!" unless something was on sale.

There really wasn't a decent grocery store in Fairmont Springs where they only had small markets. It is worth the trip to go to Invermere to get a larger variety of foods for overall better prices. This was one of two grocery stores that we found. Both were good and met our needs for the week that we stayed at Fairmont Springs.

Over the past two months I've found the staff to be super helpful, but there are two cashiers that really stand out. I don't know either of their last names, but one is called Upasna. She was at the customer service desk the first time I saw her. She is very friendly and super helpful. She even offered to carry my purchases to my car for me. The second one that impressed me was Shannon. She is always bright and bubbly and funny. People like her make going through the checkout a joy instead of a pain. Plenty of variety of items inside, especially for a small town market. Much more than I expected. They had decent produce and selections in the deli. Prices were pretty comparable for a small town convenience market. Staff was pleasant and service was quick and efficient. As others have mentioned, be sure to empty your items from your basket and put the empty basket on the floor in front of the counter. It's not like the states where checkers usually just scan the items when they remove them from the basket, then bag them. Overall a good experience. Would recommend.
