Our server was also the owner and he is an absolutely charming man with a great sense of humour. He took very good care of us. It was almost like eating at a friend's home. All the food was excellent, the bacon was cooked crisp as requested, hashed brown potatoes were also nice and crisp. My husband's omelette was also very good. Instead of prepackaged jams the breakfast came with home made strawberry/rhubarb jam and marmalade. They were so good that we bought a bottle of the jam to take with us. The food is straight forward, well cooked, plated pleasingly and darn good. The service was good, with both servers helping each other taking care of tables. When the food first dropped o thought there really wasn't a great deal on the plate. That said we finished up at just about 11AM , drove 500+ kilometers and went out for dinner in Salmon Arm at 6 PM. We were hungry, but not famished, so the portion size was just right for us. The price for our breakfast was under $15 each, which is unheard of where we live, and what we typically see in our travels. If you are going here famished, or are a big eater, you can easily add to the party. Excellent value, and great service. A definite redo in Cranbrook!
