It's been over four years since i broke my ankle. Dr. Mark Co consulted, advised, and treated my broken ankle. He shared insight into industry best practices, allowed me to make my decisions, and even welcomed a 2nd opinion on my ankle. I've never felt more comfortable with a doctor and more trusting. Why? A different orthopedic surgeon recommended two surgeries to me while Dr mark Co advised i could keep my ankle in a cast and avoid the surgery route. I chose the no surgery route based on his explanation of the pros and cons. It's been four years since we had that conversation. I ride a bike 8-10 hours a week and walk my dog 2-4 hours a week. No issues with my ankle or leg. Ever. Thank Dr Mark Co. Your patients think about you more then you know. And we're so thankful to have worked with you.

Dr. Co has no personality. He barely treats you if you have Medicare. He continued to cut my toenails even when I was screaming that he was hurting me. He ordered me a pair of orthotics because he said Medicare would pay for them. I have not been able to make use of them because they are too big. I could cut them but another podiatrist said they were mainly made for sneakers wear which I do not wear. The office is located at the end of the hall from the elevator. The restrooms are located across from the elevators. Quite a hike back and forth from the elevator to the office to get the key to the restroom back down the long hallway to the restroom and then down the long hallway back to the office. The whole atmosphere of the office was unwelcoming. Because I am disabled, I had to take taxis to and from my appointments. Dr. Co's waiting room was very nice, done in the Art Deco Style. I would not recommend going to Dr. Co's office for podiatry treatments.

The staff had called me to schedule the visit after obtaining insurance authorization, but when I arrived, I had been left off the schedule. While the office corrected the mistake and I was seen first, Dr. Lam appeared visibly irritated from the start. Despite having seen me only three weeks prior, he didn't seem to recognize me and even asked if it was my first time there. His tone was dismissive and unwelcoming; when I asked a simple question about over-the-counter (OTC) insoles as a backup for another pair of shoes, he responded, "If they helped, you wouldn't have to come see me," which effectively shut down the conversation. Communication was also unnecessarily tense. Despite knowing I understood both English and Cantonese, and having spoken Cantonese with me previously, he insisted on speaking English with a heavy, difficult-to-understand accent. When he finally switched back to Cantonese, it was with a noticeable frustrated tone while asking whether my insoles were removable--making a simple interaction feel unnecessarily uncomfortable. The assistant was great, and the staff handled the rest of my visits professionally, but due to Dr. Lam's attitude, I would not return. Ironically, I ended up trying OTC insoles on my own and found significantly better relief.

I was concerned I had broken something, but fortunately not. During my visit, I was struck with Dr Grogan's pleasant personality, knowledge and integrity. What *really* impressed me was his comment re: my orthotics (old, but still in great shape). He was thoughtful and honest about the fact that: 1. they don't need replacing (which he would $ benefit from), 2. it's not ethical to create more unnecessary plastic waste. What a gem!

Copying my review from the other listing, as there appears to be two (Dr. Grogan sees patients at…read moretwo locations). Dr. Grogan is amazing! I found him on Google when I was looking for a plantar wart specialist. After reading his stellar Yelp reviews, I knew he was as the guy to visit, and I was not disappointed! I made back to back appointments for both me and my husband, since it's a bit of a drive from us, and Dr. Grogan actually saw us together. My husband had two plantar warts for years that he had seen many doctors for and had many painful procedures on. He finally resorted to duct taping them daily for the last couple years. I had something going on with my foot that I thought might be a plantar wart but wasn't sure. It was very painful! Dr. Grogan was the first doctor that was able to explain all about the plantar warts and treatments to my husband. After looking at it and shaving the callus down a bit, he said that a previous doctor had cut too deep, and that my husband no longer had a wart on either foot! He was duct taping for nothing! He also explained to my husband that he didn't have much padding on the ball of his foot and that may cause him pain over time. He talked about options for dealing with it. Extremely knowledgeable and didn't try to push any product/treatment at all. Just laid it all out. As for my foot, it turned out I had stepped on something and it was embedded. He removed it quickly and painlessly and I my foot immediately felt better. He also looked at my calluses from running (big toe/heel) and I was telling him a previous podiatrist had shaved it down and it really hurt. He said they should not have done that and told me all about what it was and why shaving it down is bad. Dr. Grogan is so thorough and passionate about his work; you can tell just by how he explains everything. If you have any foot issues, don't see any other doctors - go directly to Dr. Grogan!

He took the time to get into the nitty gritty of my post Lapidus Bunionectomy journey and gave me a clear step-by-step path of how to proceed in my healing. He also took the time to thoughtfully and sensitively let me know I might not be the best candidate for custom orthotics. I ended the call feeling incredibly heard, honored and taken care of. I began laser treatment on my nails with him and as many of those treatments showed no improvement he performed total nail avulsion (ripped nails out). Now my nails are completely ruined for life. Don't be lured with his marketing and web site. Do your own research. Laser treatment doesn't work for most people - save your money. And, certainly don't have anyone remove nails unless it is causing pain or other issues. At the of the day, be wary of fast-talking doctors. This doctor is more interested in his own fitness, podcasts and buying real estate (just ask him or do a search online first). I'm sure he does well with older ladies out there who need someone to talk to, but now my nails are 90% worse than when I started. He really is a doc on the run. Check out his "medical" credentials before you engage him.
