This restaurant is in the heart of the older part of Perris, but don't let that scare you. It located on a western style town street right across the street from another sea food restaurant. The restaurant looks small from the outside, however there is plenty of room to accommodate a big number of people inside. The restaurant is divided in two. The main room is more crowded where a live band plays and the other room is off to the side where it is a little more private, however you can still hear the music playing loud. The band can play almost any song that you want for free, however a tip is always welcomed. The menu has a variety of Mexican sea food dishes as well as non sea food. The complementary appetizer is corn chips with a really spicy salsa that taste citrusy. Ordered a "filete a la plancha which is grilled fish fillet with onions, cilantro, and avocado. It was really good, I especially like that most dishes here don't come with the boring typical rice and beans that most Mexican restaurants serve to the side. On a different occasion, I ordered a spicy shrimp dish that is toped with cheese and avocado. This one is ideal for anyone who likes really spicy food like myself. The fountain drinks along with the Mexican waters come with free refills. I have heard that they make really good micheladas, which is something that I definitely have to have next time I visit. My wife and I stopped by this Mariscos Tecuala, well just by looking from the outside window had a Health Department letter "A" well, we don't know how such a Letter A Restaurant served such bad food. They took us the order my wife ordered a Mojarra Tilapia frita and I order a mix Bomba mix with dried (2) shrimp, 2 Oysters, 2 Pata de Mula and some 7 raw shrimp and about 6 pieces of octopus, and lots of onions, tomato, lots of Pepino when the taste was not great and oyster and pata de Mula were bad taste. I told my wife as we ate all the veggies and I asked my wife to taste it. but she throw up just by tasting it and I called the waiter and she told us that is the way they served, and she did not say ask if we want it to be replaced or offer us an apology. on the other hand, the Tilapia was raw, was not even well fried or cook. we just left the restaurant and we paid a total of $43.64 for nothing I will not recommend it to anyone if you want to get sick over the food be my guess. Found two tiny flies in my ceviche.. I told a bitter female owner about it and she did not redeem the situation. In fact her attitude tells me who she is. Needless to say, the thought of me eating the flies makes me regurgitate. Disgusting. Its a noisy place, can't even hold a normal conversation. This place is in over its head. lol Went to the bathroom only to hear some snorting going on, then to my dismay the toilet was full of it, unflushable. Tap water is not filtered, AVOID! read more

I can't conceive where all these negative reviews are coming from. All i have to say is ORALE!!! Hands down the best shrimp n fish (pescado a la plancha) plate EVER! The fish was tender and not dry, the shrimp were not over cooked and tough, the rice and beans were just like my nana's. This is coming from a person that doesn't anyones seafood. Been coming to this place for 12 years when it had its small location and can say if your into mariscos then your in the right place, don't ask for carne Assad, that's not the specialty, cocteles they are 100% filete sarandeado, they just recently added beans and rice to plate to accommodate the request of the public. Also this place is specific region of Mexico so not all Cocteles in Mexico have the same seasoning, I'm from Guadalajara and we eat them warm so I can't fault them for that so please be courteous when ordering and know exactly what your ordering. Though this restaurant isn't in Holiday Inn Express' restaurant guide IT SHOULD BE! I usually have the "Norvillero" or "Pescado Filete", but the owner, Arvalo wanted me to try the "Mar y Tierra". I had it to go and as I was walking back to the Holiday Inn Express on 4th St. I passed these 2 German Shepard guard dogs and they didn't even bark at me viciously. Only 1 of them gave a commanding bark "give up the beef!" so I tossed them a piece of the "tierra" and they didn't make a sound - they just yummed it down. After I got into my hotel room I did the same with a few "this is da bomb" murmurs. Ya gots ta try this restaurant for prices, food quality and service! read more

Being from central ca I've had the chane to eat at quite a few mariscos restaurants. This ranks right up there. I had the mediums campachana with medium spice. It was perfect and quite possibly the best I've had..... And I consider myself a connoisseur. Dining area is clean And well maintained. Downtown Perfidy isn't a destination spot but this is a place you could confidently recommend. Will be back when I am in the area. Menu has enough on it to keep a fan coming back for years to the the different fare. A nice find off the beaten path. read more

What. Is. This? This is literally how my plate came out. After waiting for at least 20 minutes( which is no big deal if my food actually came out fresh like they had just cooked it) these are the cold, fish tacos I got. The waitress asked if I wanted ketchup?There was nothing that could save that fish. The tortilla was cold and hard like if they kept them in the fridge on a plate and just grabbed the fish and put them in there. I asked if they could please warm it up more and they brought it back again cold. I don't even think they did anything to it. They eventually came back around and I asked if they could just take it away because I was not going to risk getting sick off their food, wait for them to supposedly warm it up again or waste calories on nasty food.Now rewind to just a few days ago. My boyfriend and I came for the first time and these tacos were the best I've ever had BUT they were fresh, hot and didn't look like they were leftovers from the day before. I don't know if it was a different cook or what went wrong but one thing I don't like is inconsistency, especially when I'm hungry.I'd rather go to del taco then this place again. This restaurant is literal dog water just like the waiters. Me and my gf gave it a shot on Sunday even after reading the bad reviews around 1-4pm just to realize how terrible the service and the food was. We order a simple order of ceviche and had to wait over an hour while watching the ridiculous excuse of a waiter literally flirting and serving other guests that showed up way after we did she completely forgot about our table because she was too busy flirting and getting touched by other men and when we finally got our "food", The plate was poorly made and for someone that loves seafood It was very upsetting. It's very hard to mess up an order of simple fish ceviche and they managed to do so anyway. The food was made with the lowest quality fish, and it was expensive. Walking into the restaurant it already smelled like rotten food yet we still gave it a shot just to be let down once again, and when we didn't give a good tip at the end simply because of the terrible experience the waiter gave us, she seemed very upset like she didn't just waste almost 2 hours of my time waiting for disgusting food, and for someone that's not very picky with food I literally couldn't even finish the plate. You get what you pay for. We usually go here on Sunday's for some fish and shrimp. It is a little expensive but it's really good food and the portions are big. If you go on Sunday's they have loud music towards the afternoon so get there early and sit by the entrance. read more

Normally this place has GREAT mariscos!!! Today unfortunately it was DISGUSTING!!! The quality of the shrimp was beyond poor, I had aguachile which are my Favorite, but today you would take one bite and they would disintegrate in your mouth. My husband spit one out. I make them all the time and know that even when they are not fully cooked in lemon that there is no way they would taste this way. They had no flavor. I asked the waitress for more lemon and I let them cook a little extra but they sogginess was still there. I don't know if maybe they where spoiled. I hope I don't get food poisoning. read more

Horrible service...the people behind us began feeling sick and then my husband noticed something wrong with the taste of his food. The ppl complained and the waitress changed her demeanor. The lady threw up in the ladies restroom and i came to her aid. I notified the personal and they became very bothered that they had to clean the mess up but never asked how the lady felt or even apologized for making her feel bad. Clean place with friendly service. Chips and salsa were fresh and good, avoid the fish and or shrimp tacos as you will find them better elsewhere. Do yourself a favor and get a shrimp or mixto cocktail in the big schooner glass. These are awesome and we will be back just for that. read more

Love the music, not too loud in the daytime hours. Kids enjoyed their food. The waitress Vanessa gave us wonderful service with a smile at all times. Best seafood in town. Today i had a levanta muertos its cocktail I was scared to try it because of the different ingredients but i am glad I tried it, it was delicious.
