If i could score less i would. Service slow....... Price high for piss poor quality seafood the shrimp tasted old and rubbery. I kept adding salt but the only thing that did was raise my blood pressure nothing could improve the taste. And really you charge 17 dollars for the dish and i have to add rice and beans al la carte? The only reason why I'm giving this establishment two stars is because my grandma was happy with her soup and the salsa was very spicy. The food was not at par to other seafood restaurants I've been to! However, the staff was nice with the exception to one waitress. Came here for Father's Day!!! We waited about 30min to be acknowledged! We were finally seated and it took another 30min or so to bring us chips and to take our drink orders. The Coca Cola was flat! Well the food is WAY OVER PRICED!!! shrimp cocktail was ok, pretty huge, a lot of shrimp, but lacks flavor. Hubbs got a order of fish tacos, they tasted like fish tacos, no limes, no salsa brought out, i ordered a " wet burrito " there before me was a lonley dry burrito :-( pretty disappointed.... Placed an order of 2 whole pescados sarandiados for a party Aug 21st at 6pm. .. both fish were disgusting, No flavor, the scales were still on(just shows how much time they took to properly clean it) And to top it one was completely wasted! it was overcooked/completely burned black. The salsa was watered-down and the side veggies were old. Wasted $200. On food we had to trash. Worst experience do not recommend. I regret not taking a picture. Unhappy customer. I really don't know how I feel. So I'm just gonna write out my experience and see where I'm at by the end. First of all the wait staff is quick and attentive. The Decore is a bit outdated but I enjoyed the throw back. The food comes in VERY large portions and yes your and your mate can share the civiche plate and be satisfied. We made the mistake of also ordering oysters and guac. The oysters were really really good and giant and fresh to death. The salsa was kind of insane spicy like not enjoyable spicy. Then when we asked for the bill and I gave my credit card they told me I needed my id. Ok pretty standard but the waitress wanted to take it. Nope not ok. The only reason you need an id is to verify the names are the same and you don't need to hold my card for that. Then the cashier actually took it and wrote information down and I had to tell her to give it back. The whole thing made me feel really uneasy. I got the willies. So in the end the food was good the service was aiiiiight and I guess I'm willing to try again, but I'll bring cash next time. read more

This is one of the best Mexican food places in town. I recommend the San Felipe or Cocktails but I've tried multiple other plates and have NEVER been let down! The sea food is awesome and it's a cool place to catch a live band and grab a beer on the weekends. Friendly staff and the prices are great for the portions of food provided. Cheladas were good, but I thought they were supposed to bring everyone's food together, my tacos got cold by the time they brought the rest of my families food, it's rude for me to start eating before everyone. They didn't have real abalone, kinda pricey & I've paid more for better food. The carne asada tacos had too much fat & burnt pieces, hurt my tooth a couple of times & tasted dry, had to wash every bite down with my chelada. I've tried to figure out which days are better but that's not even consistent. Today we sat outside, service started slow. It took about 45 min to get our food which is extremely slow for ordering simple tostadas de ceviche given the fact everything is pre-made all they have to do is toss things together. Finally we receive our food first my plate looks like my portion was smaller than usual and it was missing avocado which is included in my order, it wasn't a big deal but the waitress should have told me they ran out and that today my ceviche would not have it when I ordered it. The quesadilla was so greasy that the grease was falling off the plate. When i took a piece of quesadilla there was literally a pool of grease on the bottom of the plate, i was so gross i did not eat it. The food was not bad, but I definitely do not feel like we got our money's worth. Maybe we should have had the shrimp cocktail. Instead, my boyfriend had shrimp tacos and I had a tostada de agua chile. We ordered mild agua chile because it is traditionally a spicy dish, but it tasted like nothing but lime. Also, they added something like tajin to it which made it taste really sour. The shrimp tacos were ok, but tasted like burnt garlic. Sadly, the taco plate did not come with rice and beans making the tacos themselves seem pretty expensive. read more
