She came back to the table and said the stroller was in the way and we couldn't sit there. Mind you SHE SAT US THERE! I'm in the middle for this place. Good food & drinks, service in the middle. We came for happy hour. Our first waitress was new & clearly didn't know how everything worked. Two of us did the Yelp check in (check in & get a free michelada w| the purchase of a tostada) and each got a tostada. She said it was fine for us to do but when our new server came she said no one per table. There's no fine print that says that and we were already told yes. That was kind of annoying. We also got happy hour mango micheladas they came with slices of mango. When we ordered them from our new server they did not come with them so we asked. She said, "they don't come with mango" but we literally just had some that did so we told her. She responded that it depends on who makes them then said you just got the happy hour micheladas so they don't come with them. We were there forever and got to see it get busy. Our server defiantly got overwhelmed. The mango tostada was bomb! They do have a great happy hour. I'd be back for. $6 mango micheladas, $5 micheladas, $3 margaritas. Even the food had specials. I came here for my 30th birthday because it was recommended by a friend. I had a group of 12 so I made a reservation. When I arrived the waitress pointed at our table but it was only for 8. I told the waitress we would need more chairs and she said okay don't worry but as my guest started arriving no additional chairs/tables were added. My guest had to do it themselves. I picked this place because of the prices, they advertise all you can drink "Mimosas" until 1pm for $15 and after 1pm for $20 per person. Which is super affordable. The waitress came around pretty often filling up our "champagne" which was more like white wine and Orange Juice as they were served separately. To my surprise once we asked for the check I notice an extra 6 orange juice charged. I asked the waitress what was the orange juice charge and she said only the first round of orange juice comes with the all you can drink. I mentioned to her that no one asked for extra orange juice she was coming around filling it up herself so it would have been nice to know that we were going to get charged extra. She pointed at the other side of my table and they "they asked for extra orange juice" my group said no we didn't. So it was a little awkward. She charged for 6 additional juices which was $18.72 It would have just been nice to know, just seemed kinda sneaky that they were trying to charge for orange juice when it's all you can drink "mimosas" because of this experience I won't be coming back here. Great molcajetes! My family and I have came here twice, so these photos are a collection of both times. The shrimp tastes amazing when served in the molcajete or on a plate. Steak is always well cooked and tender. Though the food is great, cleanliness in their kitchen is not a strong suit. My family and I are were walking around the premises after enjoying our food when we came across an unorganized kitchen. More than unorganized, it was clearly lacking a proper cleaning procedure. Our stomachs quickly turned once we were told that this was in fact La Chula's kitchen. After snapping a picture of their kitchen, staff were prompt to shut their back door. Will definitely have the picture of the restaurant's unsanitary kitchen in my mind if I think about coming back. read more
