Most of their fish range from $32-35 per pound and their Mexican white shrimp were $25/lb. I do very much plan to come back but this would not be a frequent stop for me

The staff were so sweet too, super welcoming and helpful, especially since it was our first time and we had no clue what to get. We hit them with a bunch of questions just to get their insight and hear what their favorites were, and they were awesome about it, really welcoming and just genuinely sweet and helpful. This is definitely one I'd love to go back to, and I highly recommend it to anybody looking for a good lobster roll. Truly a good place in my opinion.

DO YOU LIKE PIECES OF BROKEN PLATE IN YOUR FOOD? IF SO, THEN YOU MUST COME HERE! I found a half-inch piece of broken plate inside a breakfast burrito with my teeth. In other words, I ordered a breakfast burrito (to go) and took a bite only to sink my unassuming molars into a sharp and jagged shard of broken dishware that hid cozily between the egg and cheese that filled the burrito (there wasn't much meat even though they call it a Chorizo Burrito). How a piece of broken dishware ends up in a burrito that is hand made (I'm assuming) is furthest beyond my knowledge. Great chips and salsa, and that was it. Wife had Camarones al mojo de ajo, her plate was bland and greasy shrimp. My kids split a Milanesa torta, they must have forgotten the Milanesa in the frying pan, extra crispy and a little bit greasy. I had Camarones Acapulqenos, shrimp had no flavor, the white "sauce" was a watery soup. Rice was bland, Beans were ok. a couple of guys at the bar were going to fight and the girl said nothing. I observed a customer have to beg the female Hispanic adult for a receipt . She barely spoke English. Finally she gave the customer a receipt. Much too expensive. Just for a bowel of Menudo is : $9.50 . Why is it sprinkled with gold dust ? Next: Just for a tiny , tiny burrito : $ 5.43 . Bad customer service. Go to : Subway or other places. I would like to designate Super A's as our go to go mexican spot but we live 20 minutes away not including traffic so it we our occasional spot for mexican food if we find ourselves in Costa Mesa. I should have ordered ahead as it appeared many people did. None the less I am very happy with the wait! The service was great and they were very helpful with recommendations. I feel like pupusas are meant to be kept simple and they mean a lot to me. They are made to order and you can tell by the quality. The Revuelta has a lot of delicious fat and salt from the pork. It's a grounded pork. It combines really well with the beans and cheese. It has a very unique flavor profile. I can see why it's so popular. The Frijol and Queso was my absolute favorite. SO creamy!! I love the thickness of the maiz. And it wasn't too oily! My favorite part was the cabbage salad. It is slightly fermented. It kind of resembles a very very mild kimchi or sauerkraut. Super flavorful and bright. I thought the bag of red sauce would be spicy but it's actually quite sweet. It pairs perfectly with the pupusas. It is tomato based. I always feel very healthy after eating El Salvadoran food. I especially felt great after eating here. The quality and balance is all there.

We ordered 4 pupusas and waited 25 minutes. During these 25 minutes 3 families came in to order and dine in. They got their food almost immediately. After realizing what was happening I got up and asked for a refund because we wanted to leave. As soon as those words came out of my mouth the lady said, your order is already coming out. Keep in mind we only got 4 pupusas meanwhile these 3 other families orders platters and got their food right away. I asked for a refund again and immediately said your food is ready. It be your own people that treat you like this...

No Asada, but she charged us for it? When we got back, she insisted we did not order the #9?? Ok, you still didnt give us the pound of asada she charged us for? Then she wants to see the bag? Hello, you left it on your counter, and my bag is back in HB. So after she haggled my wife and got 4 staff involved we got our missing meat and started back home. Thinking on the way home she didn't do the special #9, so I wonder if she gave us tortillas? NOPE... (called home to verify) 3rd trip back to get the tortillas and we payed for EVERYTHING separate and didn't get the deal we drove to CM for. Over charged and three trips just to get lunch for my family. That's a lot of gas driving past many places just to everything wrong and overcharge us for it and give my wife attitude for YOUR mistake. My 1st time checking out I even asked her about our soda that comes with the especial, she denied my soda and still didn't look that we should have got the deal for the special? Way to make the customer feel scammed. New place at Harbor and Wilson has amazing deals but we have been coming here for 35 years, I guess they don't care about that as much as we did.
