We both had a taco salad, one carnitas, one fish. Fantastic! The shell, the meat, salsa, flavors were just great. Can't wait to come back.

This was a nice find. The restaurant was clean, the food and service were great. I will eat here again when I'm visiting Williams.

One of those places you gotta stop at driving in and out of LC to Sac…read more This place has to be top 5 taco truck in Cali and I grew up in Oakland, Modesto, and spent a lot of my life down in SD/TJ. Tacos de tripa are my go to. Gotta have at least 4 of them. Tortillas are handmade fresh. Quesadilla de masa with asada is an automatic order as well. Don't have those at your average taco joint. Burrito's are good size and perfect meat to filling ratio. Rice and beans are solid. Salsa is legit and not runny. They have pollo asado on Fridays I believe. Haven't been able to try that yet, but that's next on my list. Phone order ahead when your about 15 mins out and they'll have it hot and ready to go so you can eat your grindz on the go!

I had a pretty legit super burrito with cabeza here as my brunch meal on a long drive…read more The truck is set up near a big enclosed area so you can get out of the sun or rain depending on the weather. There are also port a potty bathrooms, although they were locked. The location is basically at the end of a road behind a liquor store. Isn't that where the best tacos always are, somewhere off the beaten path? So before ordering, I did see a sign which I interpreted as "extra salsa costs money", which I find kind of annoying. Depending on how the salsa is, I may want to douse every bite in it, so I was hoping that at least what they did give was good. As it turned out, I didn't need to worry, since the sign actually means "no salsa included - at all". So that's kind of lame, what kind of place doesn't give you any salsa at all? Onto the burrito - despite no salsa, this was a very good burrito. A bit greasy, with a fair amount of oil leaking out, but that's normal for fatty braised meat like cabeza. Some salsa verde would have been welcome though. Size-wise it was totally worth it, the ingredients were well integrated, and the tortilla was chewy and held together to the last bite. The wrapping job was also good, so aside from the grease overflowing from my big bites, there were no leaks. I live nowhere near this place so I can't imagine when or if I'll be back, but as far as a good pit stop on I5 this place delivers.

There are picnic tables outside for you to enjoy your sandwiches (super convenient if you're swinging by for a pit stop). Inside, there are rows of hot sauces, olives, beverages, and other snacks if you'd like to pick up some goodies. There's even a jelly belly dispensing machine and next to the deli counter is an ice cream counter. Going back to the sandwich, :), the "new orleans muffuletta" is olive forward, so if you like intense flavors, this is the sandwich for you. I like olives and i found the sandwich tasty.

This is officially one of my favorite road trip stops now. I'm so glad we stumbled upon this place…read more The epitome of a one-stop shop: walk in and there's an Italian sit-down restaurant to your left, and to your right is probably one of the largest beer selections I've ever seen (outside of an actual liquor store). Keep going and you'll find a sandwich counter on one side and a gift shop full of knickknacks on the other. Beyond that? An ice cream and dessert/pastry counter, plus shelf after shelf of edible gifts: uncooked pastas, sauces, jams, cheeses... the list goes on. I thought the bathrooms were all the way in the back... but then I discovered that there's an entire PIZZERIA AND PUB back there too! SAY WHAT?! Any way, I was really grateful for Granzella's because I found some excellent gifts there!
