Sangria was delicious and full of fruit.

This place is fantastic! I got an el Pastor Torta. My first time trying this dish. It was huge and delicious. Ernie loved his California burrito. The Waitress was wonderful as well. We came here by accident, but the place looked inviting, so we decided to stay. If you want the "real deal", Come here.

Mucajete I think it was called. It's huge!

The kind of place where everything is in Spanish first. We had a ton of ceviche!! The food was really good. The ceviche almost as good as the kind we had poolside in Mexico. At one point the music got so loud I almost had to go stand outside. Loud atmosphere. Staff were friendly and we really enjoyed the food.

    Aguachile, not worth the trouble

Totally not recommended. Starting with the chips and salsa, which all "Mexican" restaurants are known for, this place managed to ruin this as well. The chips were so cold and just taste like old oil or grease, just awful. I asked for the aguachile and that wasn't even spicy as it should to honor its namesake. The only good thing I can think of was that the beer was cold. The music they play is so loud that it is annoying and the floors look dirty, might just be the dark brown color which looks terrible and I would not recommend for any restaurant. This place was so much better when it was on the southside.

    Great salsa

Probably one of the best salsas I've had in the last year. It has a kick after which makes it perfect!

    Tostada Pacifico and Camarones Aguachiles
    Benjamin M.

The food was delicious. Had the camarones aguachiles and Tostada Pacifico. The tostada had a good amount of seafood on it and was not mostly veggies like other places. The camarones aguachiles were the bomb, there was actually shrimp on the plate and not just a bunch of onions and cucumber.

My friend ordered us the Pork Belly Kimchi Fries, I got us an order of the Cheese Curds, and for my entree I got an order of the Asian Sticky Wings. I probably would have never ordered the kimchi fries on my own. Sometimes kimchi can be fickle and really hit or miss. It was definitely a hit here. More on the sweet and tangy side but worked really well. Fries seasoned perfectly, and the pork belly cubed and cooked to perfection. Out of all of the times I've been to Wicked Barley, these fries have to be one of the best items I've had from there. Cheese curds were pretty basic. Tasted great, but nothing to write home about. If you like Cheese curds, you'll enjoy theirs. I originally had my eye on the jerk chicken wings and I was warned by the waitress and my friend that they are REALLY hot. Jerk chicken is generally one of those thats right on the borderline of too hot for me. To give you an idea, if you're familiar with Butthutt BBQ's jerk chicken, theirs is as far as I can go for spice level. So I switched it up to be safe, and I am glad I did. Sweet and sticky, these had really great flavor inside and out. Would definitely get these again in the future. Brought a couple home to the hubby and he seemed to enjoy them too, and he normally doesn't like, what he refers to as, "sweet meat". I had three different beers in my favorite tasting style, sour. I had the PB&J sour, the mango sour, and the orange cream sour. The orange cream was my favorite of the 3. We enjoyed the sounds of the band Splittone in the background and enjoyed the whole vibe of our meal. I'm hoping to visit again on a future weekend and possibly bringing one of my pups along with me since they are dog friendly.

Beer selection great Try the cheese curds to start. They are phenomenal. Candyce and I had burgers with her side fries and my side pork rinds omg the pork rinds were fantastic. Good service. Good food. Couple of gotchas but nothing much. Definitely will be back....

The bar was pretty full when we arrived, so we took a seat on the couch for a second, before we decided to start browsing the beers in the frig and on the wall! Such an interesting place. I chose a beer to take home. Tyler the bartender introduced himself to me and we chatted a bit, and he took my order. Such a nice guy! The 1st time I ordered a Quad and the Gringo nachos. The bar was full, and people were shooting pool and playing darts. Tyler was the bartender again, and he remembered me. Then also the owner's son introduced himself to us. Such a good vibe here! I order a Quad, and it was on special for $4.99 a pint! Scored on that one! Also ordered the grilled cheese and sweet potato fries (I met to order the zucchini sticks) Next time! The Quad was great! I don't know why that grilled cheese was so freaking good! (it's just grilled cheese, right?) lol the sweet potato fries were also good but let me tell you about that made from scratch ranch dressing! Hidden valley ain't got nothing on this Ranch Dressing! It took those sweet potatoes fries to the next level They do run out of items, so make sure you have a 2nd option in mind! They also make from scratch, pretzels and perogies. If your Vegetarian they have: The grilled cheese, Gringo Nachos and Potato Perogies Tyler also said you can bring in food from other establishments.

We'd been here before but only once prior to a Michael Jackson event at Painting With A Twist nearby. First, let me say that I made my beer choice on name alone. It ended up being a great sour red though, so I'm not mad at it. Humor goes a long way with me though, so even if it wasn't great I would've dealt with it on name alone: Cherry Busey! We only hung out for a little bit (again, we need to get home for dinner) but it would he very easy to stay for longer. You can see from the photos that they have a ton...and I mean a ton of craft beers. In addition to that, they have a big room with lots of room to kick back. Our night was delayed shortly when my wife decided to take on one of those wooden barrel puzzle. You can see her dismay in the picture of us! We both took a crack at it for a while and never did solve it, but we eventually decided we needed to let it go. You win this time wooden barrel puzzle! One other thing to note is that there's parking behind it. So if you decide to go there, don't be intimidated by what looks like street only parking. Go around behind the place and you'll be all set.
