From the moment I met Joanna for my consultation she put me at ease. She answered all my questions from her sanitation method (new disposable tools are used) to how often she replaces her pigments (she runs out of them fairly quickly way before their expiration date). I had initially intended to have the hybrid (microblading and powder) service, but Joanna was truthful and upfront with me. She explained that due to my oily skin complexion I would not get the desired result from microblading as the strokes will be muddy and blurred once healed because of the excess oil my skin produces. I really appreciated her honesty. I'm also glad that Joanna took her time getting to the desired eyebrow shape and color that I wanted. Every decision from shape to color I was included in which made me feel that she truly listens. She also made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process insuring that there was enough numbing cream where I didn't have to feel a thing other than what felt like a nice massage on my eyebrows. My first session was on May 30th where I'll share a before and after photo. My 2nd session was on July 16th and am currently in the healing process. I will update with the final results once healed. Having done this has made me more confident. My face looks more defined because I have eyebrows again. I had over tweezed them in my teens where I was left with no shape and sparse, thin eyebrow hair. I don't wear makeup daily so I didn't want to draw in eyebrows with a bare face, and I didn't want to spend 15mins drawing them in each time. Joanna has given me beautiful, natural looking brows! Immediately after, I knew I would have to get mine tattoo/tinted because how good it looked. I was very hesitant on where to go because this is permanent, and its on my face.. FINALLY after looking for the right person, I found Robyn at Ink & Arch, and I am SO glad I did. Robyns work is so beyond what this review can describe. From the moment I walked into her studio I felt like I made the right decision. She took her time penciling out my lip line before she got started tattooing. The lining was clean and accurate, she checked in with me the whole time to make sure how I felt about it. She did great penciling out my lips so I trusted her to proceed. We looked at colors, which she has very many of and I chose a pinkish/light red color (mixed two colors together) After the tattoo processing began, I was nervous naturally and of course it hurt just a bit but this is all expected. Robyn checked on me throughout the whole appointment to make sure I was ok! Upon completion, Robyn pulled up a mirror to my lips, I was in complete shock-- I absolutely LOVED my lips, the lining was FLAWLESS. I honestly couldn't believe how great my lips looked. The best feeling is waking up in the morning and looking lively because of my lips. I have received tons of compliments on my lips, sometimes I want to play it off like its my natural lip but I cannot because that means I wouldn't be able to rave about Robyn work. If you have the slightest inclining that you want to do it, just book, she will not disappoint! Ps- PRIOR to my appointment with Robyn, I was planning on getting fillers after my lips healed from the tattoo. She cancelled the first appointment we set up because of something that came up with her son. No problem. When another appointment was set and I got to her salon, she became brisk with me when she saw that what I really needed was a fix to previously tattooed brows that were done with ink that she said was the wrong kind. Since there were no qualifiers to the contest, I had no idea that I would be a problem. At that point, she acted like she wouldn't honor the "free" element to this deal and I told her I was willing to pay for the extra it would take for her to fix my brows. Her work was good but after the initial appointment where she attempted to lift some of the bad color (which I paid her to do), I went in for a second appointment to get the brows colored. Again, I paid her something for doing that. I needed a third appointment (which she indicated I needed) but she no longer returned my calls when I was attempting to set something up. The whole experience left me wondering how she manages to stay in business. She could use a lesson or two in how to treat people.
