I had lip blush done about 3-4 years ago by someone else, and it was honestly a horrible experience. Over the last few months, I kept asking Anna if it was really supposed to hurt that much or if I had just gone to someone who didn't know what they were doing. Like any PMU procedure, it's never going to be completely comfortable, but it also shouldn't make you want to quit halfway through which is exactly how I felt the first time, and I have an abnormally high pain tolerance. Anna reassured me that it really shouldn't be that painful, and she was absolutely right. I'm not trying to knock another small business, but the difference was truly night and day. The first pass has to be done before numbing, so naturally that's the most uncomfortable part. After that, Anna reapplied numbing cream multiple times throughout the appointment, and honestly, all I could feel was the vibration of the machine. One thing I really admire about Anna is that she's constantly learning and testing new products to give her clients the best possible experience. She actually tried two different numbing creams during my appointment to compare them. The first worked ok, but the second was hands down the best numbing I've ever experienced. When I told her, she immediately thanked me for the feedback and said she'd be switching to that one going forward. That's the kind of dedication she has, she genuinely cares about making every appointment as comfortable as possible. The appointment itself is about three hours, but the time absolutely flies. Anna is so easy to talk to, has a great sense of humor, and somehow makes the whole experience feel effortless. One thing I love most is that opening her own storefront hasn't changed her at all. She's poured her heart and soul into building her business, yet she's still the same humble, kind, and genuinely grateful person she was before. She's the definition of a girl's girl. For anyone curious, we created a custom color by mixing Brownie Pink and Choco Mauve to get a more neutral brown-toned lip. We tested several combinations on my hand until we found the perfect shade, and I really appreciated how patient she was. She wanted to make sure the color was exactly what I envisioned before we even started. I am beyond happy with how my lips turned out. They already look incredible, and the healing process has been unbelievably easy. The first time I had lip blush done (at a different place), my lips swelled to nearly four times their normal size (I'm not exaggerating) and stayed that way for five days. I was so embarrassed that I wore a mask whenever I went out. This time? Virtually no swelling, and healing has been a breeze. I can't wait to see the final color once everything settles over the next few weeks. Anna deserves every bit of success that's come her way. She continuously invests in herself, her education, and her clients, always looking for ways to improve an experience that's already exceptional. She cancelled the first appointment we set up because of something that came up with her son. No problem. When another appointment was set and I got to her salon, she became brisk with me when she saw that what I really needed was a fix to previously tattooed brows that were done with ink that she said was the wrong kind. Since there were no qualifiers to the contest, I had no idea that I would be a problem. At that point, she acted like she wouldn't honor the "free" element to this deal and I told her I was willing to pay for the extra it would take for her to fix my brows. Her work was good but after the initial appointment where she attempted to lift some of the bad color (which I paid her to do), I went in for a second appointment to get the brows colored. Again, I paid her something for doing that. I needed a third appointment (which she indicated I needed) but she no longer returned my calls when I was attempting to set something up. The whole experience left me wondering how she manages to stay in business. She could use a lesson or two in how to treat people.

The quality definitely doesn't meet my expectations - half of the lashes have usually fallen out a week after my appointment and they are constantly tangled or sticking sideways, which is embarrassing. The final straw of my decision to leave was today. My normal service provider was not available and I had to book with someone named Cassie. I inadvertently arrived an hour early because I had the wrong time down - when I realized my mistake I said "I'm so sorry, is there any way I can reschedule? I can't rearrange my work schedule to come an hour later." She said sure, but she'd have to charge me a $50 cancellation fee. I asked why, since I needed to reschedule not cancel, and she rudely answered "I can take you in 20 minutes but otherwise, I already told you it's considered a cancellation." I wasn't being rude so I don't know why that tone was necessary...but I'm not staying someplace that's both poor quality and rude to me. If you must go here, definitely don't expect kind service from Cassie.
