Beautiful restaurant located in a hidden nook. I would love for this restaurant to have more signs the help shoppers of Merricks Park find it. I've been twice and both times the service was great. For a hidden restaurant it gets pretty busy but not overcrowded. The vibe is very chill. There is a bar and beautiful indoor sitting area. Only negative is that it gets loud in there. The tables outside on the balcony patio is lovely! There are fans all over and the tables are spaced far enough to have a nice peaceful meal. The food is really good! I've only been for lunch but the selection is wonderful. They give each person at the table a puff pastry with strawberry butter and a small cup of warm chicken broth to start. Wait times were short and dish portion sizes were filling.

Are all the popovers this burnt?

Today I received better customer service from the metro rail attendant than I did at Mariposa. From Honolulu to Dallas, this is one of my homes away from home. But today was a disappointment starting with the hostess and continuing to the food and service. This was my first long trip to Miami, and as soon as I saw my hometown favorite, Neiman Marcus, was here, I immediately bookmarked it. I arrived during a torrential downpour and made my way to the third floor, but when I didn't immediately find the restaurant, which is well hidden near the elevators, I went to the first floor and asked. The kind woman thought I had asked where the restroom was. Oops. The next sales associate I found was buried in her phone. She never looked up at me and seemed completely put out that I asked her where the restaurant was. This was sign #1 that I was not in Dallas (or Honolulu) anymore. Unfortunately, the escalator from the first to the second floor is broken, which required I take the elevator. Once I finally found the restaurant, the hostess seemed similarly annoyed with me and tried to deter me from dining, saying it would be up to 35 minutes before I could be seated. As a former restaurant hostess, I understood her game. The restaurant was not busy, but ok. (How could she have known I had traveled from Dallas via 2.5 years in South America in a torrential downpour during a global pandemic to be here?) She asked if I preferred outdoor or indoor. I always prefer outdoor during pandemics, but I just wanted lunch. I said I didn't care. She seemed surprised, then she took my phone number. The system knew me and sent me a text message to confirm my reservation. Then I went shopping. Thirty minutes passed. In Hostessing 101 they teach you to surprise and delight the customer by giving a 10-minute padding to your seating estimates. I thought my phone was broken. Had I missed the text saying my table was ready? I knew the restaurant would be closing at 5 and I was so hungry after schlepping all over Miami in the rain, museum hopping and whatnot. Finally, after an hour had passed since my phone registered my res, I went upstairs. The hostess was nowhere to be found. When she finally reappeared, I asked her where I was on the list. "Oh, you're next." Uh huh. The servers were clearly closing the restaurant. The bartenders were gone. Another customer appeared and asked which way to the parking garage. The hostess responded that she's not familiar with the area. What?!? This mall is tiny. It's outdoor. There are only two department stores and only two garages. I've been here an hour and I can tell you where they both are. I gave the customer directions to her Nordstrom garage. And I waited, browsing the teas, nuts, and Truff Sauces, until finally, the hostess decided to seat me inside (there was only one small party outside). It was a bit longer before a server appeared with my long-awaited popover and consummé. The consummé was delicious. The popover was burned. I wondered if this was punishment for being the last customer seated? Then I looked around and saw everyone's popover was too dark. It was not like Dallas (or Honolulu). Same was true of the spiced ice tea. The salad was good. The hot tea was great. The music is a bit too loud. My server continually asked me to repeat what I said. I was rushed out even though there were several other diners finishing (not in S. America anymore). It was a let down to be sure.

I had lunch with my family. We ordered tuna as an appetizer, salmon as a main entrance and couscous with chicken. The quality of food was fresh and good. The service was kind and friendly from the hostess to the waitress. They are dog friendly. This restaurant is located inside Newman Marcus after crossing the corner store. It's worth it and it's much better to eat in Mariposa than in the restaurants located inside the mall. I have eaten several times in the Merrick Park's restaurants and they are not good at all because the quality of food and flavor is bad. So it's better to eat here if you are shopping around. The place is cleaned. It's not fancy and nothing special, the only thing special is the balcony, but the restaurant is not well decorated.

I had heard of the restaurant inside of Neiman Marcus but I was pretty loyal to a similar restaurant in the same Shops at Merrick Park. A friend wanted to meet up for a Friday lunch and shopping when we both were off and she suggested Mariposa. So glad I took the recommendation! Not only were the drinks and food delicious, the service was absolutely top notch. Can't wait for the next time/meal I can visit.

Such a beautiful place to have lunch with girls, an intimate lunch or dinner with family or a loved one. The food is beautiful crafted, they include complimentary croissants, a strawberry butter and chicken bone broth as an apperitivo. The service is amazing!!!! ALL of the waiters are attentive, kind, respectful. I have even done an event here for a large party (11 guests) and they were even attentive to helping me set up the table, give out gifts, etc.

Must go! Must go! Must go! I used to come here a lot when i was little with my family, but for some reason we slowly stopped. Why? I have NO IDEA cause this place is fabulous! Firstly, it's beautiful. If you sit outside you get a wonderful view on a balcony and i can only imagine how romantic it looks at night!! The inside felt very spacious and allowed for big parties and tables while retaining a talkative atmosphere that wasn't offensive in volume. The service was outstanding! Do the waiters read minds? Honestly- i felt like the second i noticed i needed something my server was right next to me with a smile. Fell in love a little. okay okay- now onto the FOOD review. The prices are EXTREMELY reasonable for the quality and portion in my opinion. My moms Maple Glazed Turkey club was VERY generous in portion of turkey and somehow the sandwich was hot while the veggies were cold? Explain that. Magic. I was so jealous... until i saw MINE. Excuse me but the amount fo lobster i got in my sandwich cost more than the sandwich. Keep that as my little secret though. I cant even explain how absolutely out of this world delicious it was. And the SAUCE? Oh my God whatever it is- i need it for every meal all the time. The crab cake was very think and surprisingly paired perfectly with the tomato. Again with the magic mystery sauce. Whatever it was- divine. When i first saw that they brought those fries banana chips on the side- i was disappointed. Im a side of fries kinda girl- except today. They were perfectly crispy and were amazing inside my sandwich. Never would have ever thought of that. Oh and their puff bread/butter? Ridiculous. A must try. Go there just for that bread and butter.

Came in here after a little shopping spree in Merrick Park. I ordered a tasty/fresh lemonade with a quinoa bowl that brought cauliflower, greens, broccoli, avocado and egg add on. The bowl was fresh and tasty, but think the salad dressing was too sour:

Mariposa is a little secret tucked away inside Neiman Marcus with surprise popovers and tiny cups of warm broth to comfort you while you wait for lunch. Food is good and service is attentive. Make sure to bring lots of cash though, because prices will take your breath away!

After a few hours of shopping, there is no better lunch spot than Mariposa. Located inside Neiman Marcus, this quaint restaurant offers a fresh and delicious menu. There is outdoor balcony seating and indoor seating. The service was good and our server was attentive. The food was absolutely delicious, as were the drinks. We love coming here and will be back again soon.

The tuna was fresh and flavorful, melting in my mouth. The sauce paired with it was a game changer, enhancing the dish beautifully. Highly recommend for seafood lovers!

Located inside neiman Marcus retail store in coral gables ( merrick park mall ) this restaurant has amazing dishes with really good taste and fair prices. My ultimate favorite believe it or not is their chocolate chip cookies, they are fluffy and fresh and to die for. You can grab an order to go or order them for your dessert after your meal. I will literally drive here just for the cookies. I definitely recommend everyone to try! It's worth the drive!

    Cookie recipe

Cookies are a must have at the restaurant. I stopped in for a quick pick me up with a friend. Service was great and fast. Ambiance was quiet and calm which was nice for a shopping break.

I started with the sweet-sauce chicken wings, perfectly crispy and full of flavor, followed by a round of tacos, some with beef, others with chicken, fresh and well balanced. I also had the chance to shake things up with an espresso martini or known as RumWake. It had all those rich coffee aromas and an interesting twist from a banana nut texture. It was good, but I still prefer the classic version. Their mojito, which I usually don't enjoy, totally surprised me, bright mint notes toned down the sweetness just right. At Mamey, they call it the "Mint Condition," and it's definitely worth a conditional try. The one drink I liked the least was the Serata, essentially an Aperol spritz with Asian gin blended with Prosecco. It felt watered down and the flavors just didn't come together for me. Overall, Mamey delivers a unique "island-minded" experience that blends flavors from the Caribbean, Asia, and Latin America. Between the beautiful setting, creative menu, great cocktails (with a couple of misses), and attentive service, it's a spot I'd come back to for both casual nights and special occasions.

We've come here a few times in recent weeks and the place is running nearly the same as it always has for at least a few decades, through changes in drag hosts, management and even changes to this venue's name over those years. We tend to come just before showtime so there's normally always a cover (worth it for the entertainment patrons get to see), friendly bartenders and a drag show featuring talented performers, with at least one normally interacting with patrons and doing comedy during a break in the performances, before opening up the floor for dancing once the show is complete. Azucar isn't located near much of anything else when it comes to nightlife, it's a bit divey - definitely nothing fancy or glamorous, and it's probably not worth the drive from the beach just to check it out, as at least one other reviewer mentioned. Also, all shows and entertainment, aside from lyrics to a few songs here and there are in Spanish with no English translation, so if you don't speak Spanish or have someone who can interpret at least some of the funniest bits that get the most laughs, you may not fully understand what's happening or may feel a bit left out.
