Pizza

This place is in a cute spot. Love the mural outside. Was excited to try. When you walk in you order at the counter then get a number they bring to your table. The drinks are all in a fridge no glasses with ice, no diet drinks for those of us that love a nice diet drink not for calories but taste. They have some zero sugar but nothing that appealed to me. Slices are only avail certain times. The chicken caesar salad was soggy and full of pepper so i didnt eat. My friends pizza nothing special kinda burnt. Bathroom was not clean. Perhaps better for college crowd that was there. To each their own though just not for me.

I went to visit on a Thursday and there was plenty of space! We ordered the cheese balls which were amazing, wish they came with marinara. 2 of my friends and I split the supreme pizza and it was the perfect amount to share. The crust was delicious, buttery, and the perfect amount of crispy. The ratio of the options on the pizza were good as well. I wish Mario's had a veggie pizza because I would've gotten it. Overall very happy, and would come back.

After driving by many times I finally decided to stop in, and was not disappointed! Holy, this place is good. I bought the 4 cheese and the hot honey and pepperoni. Both were absolutely delicious and destroyed by us. Staff was friendly and they offer a 15% discount if you're a college student. I'm already planning my next visit this weekend!

hot honey pepperoni and the italian beef

got take out and everything was 10/10. can't wait to come back and try more. really cute vibe on the inside.

The pizzas are like warm delicious pillows to lay your face in. You might fall asleep and won't ever want to wake up. I mean what!

Been to Mario's a few times. Surprised I haven't written a review yet, because it's definitely a gem in Saint Paul. My favorite item on their menu I is the garlic bread/balls. I love cheese and garlic and these are packed with both! I appreciate that you can get slices of pizza and even some of their speciality ones too. They offer canned drinks and beverages and have a few beers on tap. I've always had a pleasant encounter with their staff. Can't wait until the next time I have more garlic bread balls!

Weirdly we weren't in a hurry and the pizza takes 36 minutes. We ordered at the counter and got IBC root beer and the artichoke pizza. The pizza is delicious and very filling. No tiny squares of thin pizza here.

While you def have to pay a premium price for this sub, the quality of ingredients and layers of flavors makes it worth the splurge! Esp the punchy pepper relish, dukes mayo, and quality seeded roll.

Parking is easy, as there is a free public lot about 50 feet away, and street parking is also available. The workers are always friendly, and often will give you cheese samples (yum). I have never had a bad sandwich here. Some favorites are the chicken salad, the prosciutto-fig-ricotta, and the sweet chorizo. Today, I ordered the Turkey club and the Sandwich of the Week, the La Tur, which had a cow, goat and sheep milk cheese with blueberry honey jam, greens and bacon. It was good, but don't get this sandwich unless you like cheeses that REALLY have that sheep flavor! There are a few small tables for 2 tucked inside by the register, and a couple of small tables outside in nice weather, but this is really more of a grab'n go place. We took these on the plane with us the next day, as we were traveling. Pro Tip: You can earn France 44 rewards at this location, just tell them you are a member when you get to the register!

It was the perfect consistency, seasoned really well, and can still taste the freshness of the tomatoes. For the melt, I got the truffle that came with double cream brie, gruyere, mushrooms, honey and black truffle. Everything was melted to perfection and the truffle was delicious without being overwhelming. The bread had a really good crunch to give some texture with the melty gooey cheese. Despite having so much cheese, it wasn't a super heavy meal. More of a take out place. There's a couple tables outside to eat but it was also really windy and hot the day I went so I ate pretty quickly.

Old school all the way. There's a restaurant in the back, and a full-scale deli counter in the front. It is such a good stop. They have their own private parking lot too. Wood paneling, and a bunch of local reviews all over the walls. Clean, normal sound. Simple, with excellent customer service, and a huge menu that will have something that you like. Packed the midweek afternoon we visited, and we did not wait for a table. Loved my bowl of Matzo Soup, superb broth and the Matzo was delicious. Enjoyed my BLT on whole wheat and the homemade potato salad was amazing! Had a cherry cobbler for dessert that was incredible. Restaurant has been open for over 70 years, and I met the owner/manager, Cecil, afterward, and he just oozes customer service being a priority. It's a must-visit place.

The line for baked goods was also busy but moved quick and wow - I regret not getting any of the baked goods. They looked phenomenal. I had the Leonard Da Vinci which was outstanding. The vibe inside is very Eastern European deli authentic which is so fun. They had tons of to go items for sale as well and a huge grab and go beverage selection. The seating area was spacious and packed on a warm spring day.

I absolutely love the duck! The fact they had duck!! Customer service was top notch can't forget about my new buddy in the glasses. This is my MF place!! Top spot on all of the street. I'm looking forward to trying more on my next visit. Basically cleared out the hot dogs the other day and I was like the first person in the shop lol sorry but not sorry. I didn't try them before but they were damn good and shouldn't of been that damn delicious and they have that snap too. I got a chuck roast too for later in the month or maybe I'll try to do easter? Is it beef or duck that they have on Easter I wonder.. either this place is the dream spot of the MEATS (PAUSE! LOL that's me being goofy). Young and older people should fully support this place. I recently moved here but this is my JAMMY JAM!! I wonder if they had meat jam or pickled onions? Honestly somebody to build a bakery and cheese shop nearby so you just get my meat, cheese and bread all on one perfect block. Might have to find a job or buy a house near this place. If they haven't been here for 100yrs.. I hope you make it to that and another 100yrs. Btw who's the MF who made this pie?! This is the best apple pie ever had. It is sliced thin and makes a great sandwich. They also have turkey which I believe is cooked sous vide. Our last visit we picked up some skirt steak and their juicy lucy burgers. As we were checking out, there was one condiment that we forgot and it didn't appear that they had that. The very nice gentleman was able to locate some for us and helped us out. Quality and service has always been top notch.

They called my name and when I picked up my sandwich I couldn't believe the size of it vs. the price. The bread was fresh and buttery soft, meats/toppings top tier and the flavors were on point. I love a good creative version of an Italian Sub! The coleslaw was good and the seasoning was there but, I would have liked it to have a little more creaminess to it since it was a bit dry. The fries were also good and had a taste to them that I couldn't quite place seasoning wise but, it was delicious. If you spot this truck I'd run over and grab some food!

It tastes like it should cost what it did, and my parents were upset with it. They didn't finish theirs and they're the kind of people to order multiple, so that speaks for itself. I'm sure there's other parking somewhere, but can definitely be challenging. The inside at first is cute. Didn't see a menu but then saw that it was self service ordering on a touch screen. We could see two people working in the back but no one acknowledged we came in. There were 3 other diners when we arrived. We placed our order and about 10 minutes later got our food. Food itself was good. portions good. good size side of fries with tasty batter that I like. When they did bring our food the lady that came was nice and did follow up once to ask how it was. While we were waiting went to the bathroom and that's when I realized how slimy the floor was. Like there was aerosolized oil that has never been cleaned. The bathroom itself definitely needed some love. Felt like a gas station bathroom and not a good one. And then also noticed the ketchup splattered on the counter below the ordering area. When the front of the house is not clean, it doesn't make me feel very confident that the back of house is.
