Midweek, Wednesday, came and still no update as to when a service person could appear. So today we found a different company to provide the service - scheduled for Monday. In summation, we were very disappointed in not being scheduled or something, to have someone look at it. It literally would have taken probably five minutes to determine if repair or replacement was needed. They may be a wonderful company that provides excellent service, but we'll never know because they couldn't provide a day/time to so so. Thus, do not take our review, in any manner, regarding the quality of their work.

The original quote for the project was $3,875.39, and I paid a deposit of $1,356.38. Although I felt some of the individual charges were extremely high, including one item that appeared to be nearly four times the actual cost, I accepted the overall quote because I believed the total price was reasonable for the scope of work. The project involved plumbing work that had already been reviewed and approved through the condo HOA's infrastructure process. Part of the work required cutting a small opening in the ceiling of the condo unit below mine to access the pipes. I was prepared for this and had already arranged for my contractor to repair the ceiling once the plumbing work was completed. Instead of making a small access opening, John cut out a very large section of the ceiling, causing unnecessary damage, as shown in the attached photo. This resulted in additional repair costs that I now have to cover. After this, John informed me that if he were to continue the job, the cost would increase to $10,000. I declined because that was far beyond the original quote and because he appeared unable or unwilling to complete the project as originally agreed. Since the only work performed was an initial visit, cutting the ceiling, and obtaining the permit, I requested that $1,000 of my deposit be returned. John refused, stating that he believed he was entitled to keep the full deposit. I do not believe this was fair or reasonable, especially given the limited work performed and the additional damage caused. I wish I had checked YELP first due to the number of dissatisfied customers.

I call them whenever I need services on the exterior of my home. They installed a new roof on my garage (excellent), they repaired/installed gutters on my garage, they installed screens on all my gutters to keep out leaves (their gutter guy Joe handled his business), Last year they installed 23 new windows in my house (Mike did an excellent job on the install) Good quality windows provided by SureRoof.. Joe came out, took a look what was going on, and gave me an estimate that was identical in scope but half the price of another estimate we received so we opted to go with Eames and Sons. Joe was fantastic to work with and kept me up-to-date on scheduling of the entire process, from dropping off a trailer for the old roofing materials, dropping off the new materials, the actual day of work, etc. The Eames and Sons crew came out, did the work in a single day, and then Joe came out the next day for an inspection. Joe noticed some of the work wasn't up to the Eames and Sons standards, so he had someone from the crew come back out and redo it and then came back out the same day to check on the work again. I also noticed that some of the mortar between bricks near some of the work seemed to now be missing and he came back out on his own time to fill in the gap. Eames and Sons, and specifically Joe, definitely went out of their way to make sure our roof was perfect and that I no longer needed to worry about the leak we found. This was a fantastic experience, and I would definitely recommend others use Eames and Sons for their roofing needs. EDIT: I noticed some damage to a window screen after the dump trailer was moved away. Joe fixed the screen himself and sent someone else out to take care of some of the metal around the window as well. Eames and Sons has gone above and beyond what I expected and they have set a very high bar for any work that gets done around our house in the future.
