You sent me for a root canal to try to save the tooth but to no avail and almost $2000 later I have no implant no use of tooth number six it's unsightly because ROOT CANAL could not Be completed. My dentist recommended Dr. Vilardi very highly. I have a long history of dental problems and procedures so I try to see the most skillful dental professionals I can find. I needed a gum tissue graft, which I'd had done once before by someone else, and I was dreading it because it was the most uncomfortable dental procedure I'd ever had, and the discomfort lasted for months. When Dr. Vilardi did it, it didn't bother me for one second during or after, I was amazed. His hygienist had my husband on a multistep teeth cleaning routine and I decided to adopt it. The next time my own dentist's hygienist saw my teeth she said she'd rarely seen such an improvement in a patient. (I don't know why every dentist doesn't recommend this routine.) I've had a couple of complicated implants done by Dr. Vilardi and, though I can't compare them to anyone else's work, I've had no problems with them. He won't do it if he doesn't think it's going to work well - I went once hoping to get started on a new implant and he told me the bone wouldn't support it even with bone growth stimulants. (He has a lot of tricks up his sleeve.) I find him to be very direct, so maybe that's why another reviewer interpreted it as lacking compassion. I don't see it that way though. Where do I begin? $360 dollars in x-rays because Windsor Dental x-rays weren't good enough. Everybody has to make money I remarked. I paid over $5000 for a laser treatment. You would think a DOCTOR would review the $360 dollar x-rays he took, before starting the procedure. To make a long story short, while scraping a tooth? For what reason he was he was scraping; I don't know. But if he looked at the $360 in x-rays he would have seen, he was scraping a cap. Vilardi breaks my cap and tells me he only has resin and to schedule an appointment at my real dentist because he didn't have any cement to put the cap back in place? HE'S A DENTIST RIGHT. He broke my cap and sent me to a real dentist to fix it. Any way, I make the appointment at Windsor Dental to have the cap replaced and Windsor Dental charges me $108. Now really, who should be paying for the repair of the cap. I call the office and the first thing out of DONNA the receptionist mouth is "I'm not getting involved in this!" It's your office and you work there; and there should be a way of dealing with complaints, especially if Vilaridi breaks or damages personal property, like my tooth. Go there to fix one problem, and leave with another, at an additional expense. Needless to say, they will never see another dime of my money, I will drag that office's name through the mud every opportunity I can, and I will NEVER make any referrals to that office. I went to Dr, Vilardi thinking I needed periodontal work, after checking he said all I needed was a good cleaning, he could have told me I needed this that and the other thing, and as everyone knows that could run into the thousands, but he was HONEST , personable and I must say very handsome... I went back & Rose cleaned my teeth, it was one of the best cleaning I ever had.. Dr. Vilardi doesn't take insurance, but the receptionist gave me a form & Cigna sent us back over 65%.. All ego and no compassion. He thinks nothing of chastising his employees and talks down to the patients.

Dr. Vilardi is amazing. when he and his staff work it is like a synchronized orchestra. He follows up with you the night of the procedure. I would not go to anyone else. The front desk staff are the best of any provider in the HV. read more

My dentist recommended that I see Dr. Vilardi. I gave him a list of oral surgeons that are in my plan and he told me he golfs with them all but Mario is the only one he would let work on his mouth. That was enough for me. I went in for a consultation and made the appointment. My gums are receding so I needing some grafting done in my mouth, a painful procedure. He does not take insurance up front which may be a problem for some. He is super friendly, almost like you are coming to see your uncle I swear, just a nice warm Italian guy. Needless to say, I have the surgery, get the pain killers and go home to expect the worst after the meds wear off. To be honest I was fine. I went to work the next day and my co workers were amazed that I was there AND without the pain killers I might add. Three people wrote down his name for the future since they heard how painful the surgery is supposed to be and I was there in no pain the next day. I highly recommend Dr. Vilardi. I was very concerned, because I had to have a tooth extracted that already had a root canal done by another dentist, had to have a bone graft and an implant. I didn't have any pain whatsoever (during or after these procedures). Dr. Vilardi makes you feel very comfortable, he explains everything and his staff is very friendly. The only thing that you need to know is that you have to pay them in full at the time of service and then you have to bill your own insurance company. He does charge more than some of the dentists that accept insurance, but if you're terrified of going to the dentist, you won't be once you go here. read more
