I am not someone who is afraid to go to the dentist. I am not afraid because I will ONLY go to a…read moredentist that makes me feel comfortable. Town Center Dental makes me feel comfortable and at ease. I recently moved back to the Hudson Valley and had to find a new dentist. I went elsewhere for a cleaning (which was fine) but then I had some intense tooth pain. I went to two different dentists and they both wanted to remove two teeth. I was like waaaaait.... what??? I just remember an old dentist saying, "A tooth in the mouth is better than two in the hand." Save the tooth if you can. Why did they want to pull them? It didn't feel right. So I started to search for a new dentist and found Town Center Dental via Google search. I rolled the dice and went in. As I went into the office, I was greeted by a wonderful reception staff and a bright, clean atmosphere. I met with Dr. Paes and lo and behold I didn't actually have a tooth infection and I most definitely did NOT have to remove two teeth. Phew! I would have been LIVID if I had just listened to the other butchers. So I decided to stick with Dr. Paes. Since then, I've had a bridge removed, an implant implanted (lol) and two crowns to cover the teeth from the bridge. The implant surgery and bridge removal were painless and seamless. He's seriously made a major difference in this short time. Also - side note. They have a CEREC machine which is super cool. CEREC is a computer that takes impressions of your teeth digitally. Basically that means you do not have to use that gooooey impression gunk and that hard metal tray to make impressions of your teeth. It's a wand that scans your mouth. AND the machine makes perfect crowns while you wait. PRETTY. FREAKIN'. AWESOME. And lastly, I know a little bit about dental pricing and it ain't cheap, but Town Center Dental is competitive and fairly priced and I promise you (so far...) it has been worth EVERY penny.

From the outside, the practice looks promising and professional. But after meeting with and being…read moretreated by Dr Park, I knew better. I found him to be very pushy and demanding. He had to work with broken equipment and after 30 or so minutes fixed it with plastic, tape, and a rubber band. His work during an implant proved he lacks the necessary skill set to pwrform the implant without causing additional pain. I twice complained to Dr Paes about the bullying and lack of professional skill by Dr Park, but he did nothing. Also, Dr Park wanted to do a full set of xrays even though I submitted a full set that had been done less than 6 weeks earlier. Stay clear of Dr Park. If I could give less than 1 star, I would

Got a call to come in for a cleaning. They said they were having a promotion and the checkup and…read morecleaning would be 99 total. When I arrived I double checked that it would be 99 and was told yes. I did the cleaning which was very half assed as she said i really needed a deep cleaning which costs more. I said i couldnt afford it. They hurried through and I paid the b99 and left. Then I got a bill in the mail for $336 more dollars, as if there wasn't a promotion. So i had to call in and complain and they had to call the poughkeepsie office and call me back. They ended up taking away the charge but it left a bad taste in my mouth. Seems like a scam to try and get people to buy more dental exams and to charge them more than they were told. This should not have happened, and if it happened to me it could have happened to others who maybe ended up paying more than they should have.

I saw Dr. Hamburg a few years ago, and he and his office staff were always amazing. Trying to make…read morean appointment now has not gotten me the same experience. I have spoken to Elaine 3 days in a row now, and all 3 time she's said she will call me back. Still waiting..... The first 2 calls she said she needed to speak with the doctor to figure out how to schedule me. Today, after telling me she spoke with the doctor, she said she needs to speak with him again. After trying to get anywhere with her, I asked to speak to a manager, and, of course, nobody is available, and will call me back. I asked if I should just find another dentist, and Elaine's reply was along the lines of "go ahead". I guess they have enough patients.

The friendly demeanor of the dentist and staff does not make up for the serious and unacceptable…read moreproblems I experienced at this office. I was overcharged, and my insurance was submitted claims for procedures that were never performed, which raises serious ethical and billing concerns. After a crown was placed in March 2025, my regular dentist later found excess cement left directly on my gum line--a basic and preventable error. My dentist was extremely disturbed by this and stated it could have caused damage to my gums. Leaving cement behind reflects a clear lack of attention to standard dental care and patient safety. To make matters worse, the crown fell off while I was eating (and unfortunately swallowed) yet I was told I would need to pay out of pocket for a completely new crown, despite the original being placed only months earlier. Refusing to stand behind recent work while shifting the financial burden onto the patient is unprofessional and unacceptable. Between the billing irregularities, substandard workmanship, and lack of accountability, I strongly advise others to avoid this office altogether. If you do choose to go here, verify every charge, closely monitor what is submitted to your insurance, and be prepared to seek corrective care elsewhere.

It seems to be a generally small practice so a typical patient is more valued. There may be some downsides to a smaller practice such as appointment flexibility, but I prefer the more personal and professional approach I have seen, versus what I have experienced elsewhere.
