I've been in and out of the office for dentures that have taken a year to get back and then they don't even fit correctly or get adjusted to go in my mouth as he absolutely guaranteed me at initial visit that he would make sure that they would be and that I was in good hands. Not to be funny but that was the only thing I understood he said after I kept saying to him I have a bad gag reflex so I need them done a certain way or I will have to go get them done elsewhere. I should've realized when I called for an appointment, being my 1st time there, appt should've at least been a 2 week wait period. I was told to come I. The very next day. Then I had to come back due to the cray machine didn't work. Nope not me trying to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and me changing my behaviors. Just come back and try him out. Didn't know that I'd be doing more coming or calling the office,doing his receptionist assistant job. Now after a whole year later of excuses as to why my teeth aren't here yet, they finally come I . You have to put them I. As a dentist to make sure you did your job correctly. No his assistant gives me the dentures in a dirty used ziplock old bag. I'm cussing now. I went there today and it'll be the first and last time I'll go there. I went there for a cleaning... which was done in under a minute. I was told I needed a tooth extracted and my insurance will cover it. Then after I was done with my cleaning, he was talking to me about if I have credit and applying for some kind of credit. Also while he was cleaning I almost choked on the amount of water that was being sprayed all in my mouth the lady with the hose that's meant to get the water out wasn't even doing her job. She was just standing there. I almost choked! I felt so rushed and so confused. It was not a good experience at all! You told me my insurance was going to cover the tooth that needed to be extracted without any issues. Now, I'm in the office sat in the office the lady checked my credit I felt so uncomfortable asked how much I make a year....was very uncomfortable. He Just lied to me when I was in the chair. and then after the lady checked my credit he found out I didn't have good credit oh, no i never said that I never said that your insurance will cover that tooth that needs to be extracted. Pretty much kicked me out and told me to go to another place for my tooth. I'm still in pain. I'm calling my insurance tomorrow and to see what's going on because something doesn't seem right with this place. Definitely sounds like they're scamming people. Told me I need other work done, like an idiot I believed, started and couldn't continue with it due to the amount of pain and how rushed and annoyed he got because I said I was in pain, left and never went back, still need to get the rest done, trying to go somewhere else. This liar told the insurance company that I came in for the completed work and this is after I called them telling them I would not be going back. So do not pay for the rest. I had a similar poor experience. I was told that I needed a procedure that would probably not be covered. He said he would file the claim, but to assume that it would be denied. He offered a great deal if I paid out of pocket and pressured me to fill out a financing application immediately. I made it clear that I would wait for the answer from my insurance company. He suggested it again, and I repeated that I would wait for the claim to be processed. We finished up and he told me to go upfront and schedule my next cleaning. I went out to waiting room to do this, but was told to come into the office where they told me to take a seat, and they handed my the financing application. I told the receptionist that I had already refused the offer twice.. she looked confused and had me go back out the window and schedule the next cleaning. A week or so later I found that the claim was in fact approved. But when I called the office the receptionist told me to get in touch with another dental office and gave me the number. This other office had no idea who I was, I had assumed this was a referral and he had forwarded my info, but it turned out he was just trying to rid of me. It took a few calls, but his office staff finally admitted that he didn't like the amount my insurance would pay him and would only do the procedure If I paid what he wanted out of pocket. read more

Went for the first appointment for the crown and I was told he can't start them because insurance had not paid him for previous clients work, yet he was willing to do the work that I had to pay out of pocket for. of course I walked out. Prior to that, he performed a so called cleaning that lasted less than 2 minutes. It was a blessing he didn't start the crowns. They were not properly prepared for the permanent bridge inserted and rotted underneath. My mother who doesn't speak good English and is from another country went there because her health insurance accepted that place. She was told he has to remove 3 teeth on the upper rack get a full set is dentures on the upper rack and a partial denture on the bottom rack of teeth. He then proceeded to say that this was going to cost $3000 and he needs the money now. He even tried convincing her that she would go with his assistant to the bank and withdraw the money! She immediately called me, and asked me to speak with the doctor. I was driving at the time in bad weather and traffic but I pulled over to speak with him. It was hard to understand what he was saying so we agreed that I would come to his office right away. I arrived and he asked to sit my mother in the chair while he explained to me what is going on with her teeth. He told me the same thing he told her and insisted that this procedure was not going to be covered by the insurance, and wanted us to pay today. I explained to him that we need time to discuss this matter and also call the health insurance company. The following day I spoke to the health Insurance company and they said they would have covered the dentures! At this point mom and I agreed she needs to be switched to another dentist, so we proceeded in doing that. read more

Absolute worst experience getting a cleaning (if that's what they want to call it!) I wish I listened to all the other bad reviews bc they were on point, yet I gave this place a shot since it is close by my job. The dentist never introduced himself, yet he seemed nice. Once he looked at the x-rays, he told me my teeth were in good shape but I would need a new crown (which I already knew). At the moment I have MVP state insurance but I am going to switch over to a very good one. Without asking me, he told me to apply for Care Credit to get the crown done and that once I switch insurances, I would get a check back....YEAH RIGHT! As he started my "cleaning" it was very rushed (less than 5 minutes to be exact) Water was all over my face. He did not even use floss. No new toothbrush/floss given at the end like any other dentist in America. Then he proceeded to tell me to go with his assistant so I could fill out the Care Credit information. I sat down and told her I do not want to proceed with the Care Credit, nor with him bc I felt he rushed through it and that I wanted a copy of my x-rays so I could leave. There was this other woman sitting there (maybe office manager) and she tried to tell me that bc my teeth were in such good shape that's why he did it so quickly. She must have repeated herself like 4 times over and over. Little does she know before I moved upstate, I was working at NYU Plastics in the Ortho dept. I know what protocol is and she is an idiot. I asked for my copies of the x-rays, and the girl printed out some bootleg paper with small images and handed it to me. I asked for digital copies on a disc and she said "they don't do that here." What a scam office. The lady then told me that they have lots of patients that have been there for years and they are loyal and love the dentist. Yeah, I bet bc they have really good dental insurance and he wants to milk them for everything he can. Beware of this place! I was not game to go back to that Dentist although I did ring them and make them aware of the situation. I agree with the last patient avoid this dentist at all cost he's a butcher he'll rob you of your money he's rough he's mean he tried to convince me of all the work I needed done took my money first $1,600 destroyed my tooth said he gave me Novocaine and really he didn't give me anything but empty needles it was the most horrible experience I've ever had now the supposed Crown I need it done over that was perfectly fine he destroyed it he ground my tooth down to my gum and the crown won't stay on and I have a little nub under the gum he never finished my tooth he got out of the chair told a brand new young girl finish it I had cement from one end of my face and mouth to the other and one day later here's my tooth 1 o'clock in the morning in the back of my throat to go back to him because I already paid but there are other avenues for dentists like this he doesn't even deserve the title probably isn't even one I sat in the chair for over an hour waiting while he took all walk-ins before me and I had an appointment he had three other people he took care of and made me wait .It won't even let me post this review he probably has it rigged so no one can give him a review because there's not a review bad enough to give . AVOID THIS HORROR SHOW! I went to Dr. Susu at Gold Coast Dental on Dutchess Turnpike in Poughkeepsie for the second and LAST time. I only went to him this second time because of my insurance and I thought it could never be as bad as the first visit. It was WORSE. I have never had a cavity and only needed a cleaning. Dr. Susu never introduced himself. He barely spoke when I cheerfully greeted him. He then proceeded with a BRUTAL teeth cleaning. I have gone to many high quality dentists in Manhattan, Maine, Los Angeles, and I've NEVER been anywhere with such a PAINFUL cleaning method. Dr. Susu gave no regard to the visible pain I was in and when he finished he fled the room instantly. I told his very polite assistant, "he doesn't have the gentlest touch in the world" and when she asked me to schedule my six month follow up I said, "No, that's ok". OMG where do I start. This Dr. Excuse me I mean Dentist is fairly new to me. It was explained to me months back that I would need some fillings because I have three cavities that needed (OK I thought,fine). As he is doing one out of the three he tells me "ONE is really deep and that he isn't in the BUSINESS of pulling teeth he wants to save them. That in the future I will need work done, but the fillings should hold for now. Future came last week, tooth killing me. I come in for a cleaning, telling him of the issues of pain I'm having. He tells me I need a root canal which will be $1,700. I don't know about you, but I don't have that kind of money. I had just found out I'm prego with my second child. I'm advised to go for a loan and the he can make the call to see if I can get approved. When I get approved for the $1,500 he tells me he needs to take a second look at my x-rays and that he may need to do more than one tooth. To my shock he tells me I need two teeth done. He tries showing me the x-ray as if I went to college to be a dentist and I know what I'm looking at. ( I yes him because you don't think right off that you should question you Dr. Excuse me Dentist especially when your in pain). He rushes to his receptionist to tell her to see if I will get approved for $3,400. (of course it was already processed and they said no to another loan. So he says to myself and my fiance "Oh don't worry about it, you got approved for $1,500, that means you have somewhat good credit. I know how it is, just make the appoint. (he was even insisting that I stayed right then and there) Will do the work and you will have no more pain and we can work out a payment plan for like 6 months to pay off what you owe. I was pissed about it costing so much and me having to take out a loan and to boot have to still pay him for not one but two teeth all of a sudden that needs to get done. I come in, he starts complaining about me not being tough enough because he keeps having to give me shots of pain meds in my gum. (mind you I'm prego and it was already explained that the only med that can be giving to me will wear of about every 30 mins so I would need more shots than average). FUCKING PAINFUL! Is taking it likely, but I pushed on he was rough, he didn't really have patients and got anoid when I complained of pain. After the actual root canal he put this gray seal over my teeth and brought in paper work and told me we were taking a break to go handle the business end of the matter. So in pain and confused I go to the front and he tells me you were only approved for $1,500 that only covered the root canal which was $700 a tooth you have $100 left over which went to the seal process if you want to finish and get caps and crowns I'm gonna need $300 for the seal that I already started because it is $200 a tooth and that is what you owe me. I will need now or you can come back in 6 months or so with $800 to do your caps and crowns then we can work out a payment plan. "oh but don't take to long because that defeats the purpose and you may need to have them pulled anyway" I liked to hit the floor. I really didn't know what to say or do. I called my fiance to get the $300 dollars when we realized that we would have just been forking up money and he still wouldn't have completed my month. Thank God he thought that he may have been able to get more money out of me and he went ahead and did the seal, if not he would have sent me home with two exposed nerves with just a temp seal. May may have caused big issues if it broke and got infected (mind you I'm prego, you think he care) Before I could get off the phone he was taking off my little napkin from around my neck and damn near shoving me out the door. I asked him in the mean time what should I do for pain being I'm prego he said ask you Dr. I said that I would return in 3 days with partial payment and he wouldn't even turn around to see me out the door nor say good bye. I left in extreme pain and feeling taking advantage of because I was lied to, this is Embezzlement. I had to have my fiance go up there and talk to him in the professional manor he failed to show me. After whatever went down now he's gonna honor what he originally said and complete the process and I will be on a payment plan for $1,900 on top of the $1,500 dollar loan I had to take out after everything is all said and done. I almost don't even trust going back to his damn office but I'm fucked because I'm still in pain, my insurance won't cover it and I can't take out another loan to go to someone else that would have to finish his unfinished work. I will let him finish and if he fucks up my teeth, I'm taking him to court. After my root canals are completely done this time. I will pay him because I don't want my credit messed up and he won't ever have to worry about seeing my face or anyone I know again. SUSU, is hot tempered, makes mistakes, will have you coming back often than normal, don't inform you of work until it becomes major to get top dollar out of your pocket or insurance.
