I knew that his office didn't participate in health insurance. I was prepared to submit my received bill for reimbursement myself after paying him in full. When I received a letter from my insurance asking for procedure codes I received zero cooperation from his office. Additionally, I was repeatedly routed to his answering service during normal business hours whenever I called. They wouldn't take messages and instructed me to call during 'normal business hours' which is exactly what I was doing...repeatedly. Returning to the office in person resulted in no success in getting procedure codes. Total lack of cooperation. During my dental procedure my wife observed staff chatting about their personal lives with one another the entire time she waited for me.They then proceeded to claim the office was understaffed. After this experience I have encouraged my dentist to consider making his referrals to a different oral surgeon. I feel this is unfortunate as I consider Dr. Acuri a good oral surgeon.

My regular dentist…read morediscovered I had an infection in an old root canal and referred me to an endodontist who had recently opted out of my insurance plan. I called 3-4 other recommendations and unfortunately, it seems many endodontists in Dutchess County don't take insurance. I have good dental insurance and Dr. Pai was recommended and on my insurance company's "in network" list so I made an appointment. I had nothing but a pleasant experience with the receptionist (Anne Marie) each time I spoke with her. I was originally given an appointment for a consultation a month away, but there was a cancellation and she was able to get me in sooner. She verified my insurance benefits and confirmed I had no copay for any of my visits. There were some long wait times unfortunately for some of my appointments (afternoon appointments). Dr. Brunetti-Pai opened up my root canal twice and cleaned it out, but unfortunately, the problem persisted. The appointments all went smoothly and I had no pain. She referred me to an oral surgeon, also luckily with good reviews and in network, who recommended an implant. If I ever need an endodontist, I would definitely return here, but fingers crossed I don't.

As I was telling my adult daughter; the entire procedure from first rinse to me walking out the door was only about 20 minutes long. The Dr is so skilled at the Novocaine injections that I was amazed. If you can hold it together for about 2 minutes-you'll be fully numb in no time. The procedure itself consisted of one minute of toughing it out while he did the actual pulling. No pain, just pressure and conquering my fear. I can do just about anything for one or two minutes. The rest was downhill from there. Drove myself home with no issues-as I stayed awake for the procedure. As a child my mom would take us kids to a dentist who must have had a secret love for causing pain. He would drill my cavities without the use of Novocaine. He probably didn't have a pain fetish but, he was definitely too cheap and in too much of a hurry to bother with numbing teeth before drilling them. Needless to say, going to the dentist must have been a hidden fear of mine considering that I have been to the dentist 5 times in 25 years. Thanks to Aspen Dental I have now visited the dentist 12 times in 2 1/2 years. The free exam and x-rays were a nice surprise but, not compared to the pleasant and cheerful staff. Everybody treated me with respect and made me feel comfortable. The dentist who did the exam made sure that it was painless and explained, in detail, in a way I was able to understand exactly what my teeth needed. The staff up front did a great job finding a finance option that suited me. Not once did I feel embarrassed about my condition, all of my questions were answered and explained thoroughly and their knowledge of dentistry was impressive. My teeth are now in good condition and I look forward to my appointments thanks to the great staff at Aspen Dental.

Overcharged us $2000 plus which we will be continuing to fight for a refund. We will be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau.
