It's a large and busy practice with a roomy waiting area and a cool "window" above with clouds. The dental technician (I wish I can recall her name now) was wonderful - kind, considerate, and informative. The front desk person was also helpful. I had filled out all the paperwork in advance, which surprised her. The dental rooms are all roomy enough and completely open with no doors. I felt fine about that, as it's way to keep staff accountable (I presume). Two things that were different - I never saw the dentist. Instead the dental technician consulted with the dentist and came back to me. Maybe there's only one dentist (?). On the one hand, I would've liked to meet the dentist and have him check my teeth. On the other hand, it does save time. Also, they don't give a goodie bag with a new toothbrush, toothpaste and dental floss. Not a biggie but definitely different than any other place I've been to. So, just one star off for not seeing the dentist and no goodie bag (!) They didn't sell me on anything except to ask me how I felt if they checked with my insurance about replacing two crowns (which I know I've needed for some time), and that I should observe how I may be clenching my teeth. If I was, they'd recommend that I try an OTC night guard as it's much less expensive. Regarding the person who makes appointments, I frankly wasn't put off by her directness. Instead, I kind of laughed, and told her I appreciated her forthright manner. This past Monday she called me after I left a voicemail over the weekend about possibly rescheduling my appointment due to the snowstorm. She said that it wasn't probably be an issue but I was welcome to call on the morning of the appointment to cancel if weather didn't improve.

Upon a second opinion, by a more professional dentist, they said the work he was doing. What's subpar, the x-rays? What class C they wanted to rip out 4 teeth just to do implants? When all is I needed was some perio care in molers, they're all about pushing for money, money, money, they even did a gum surgery on my wife who didn't need it. Never had any problems and now has problems. They don't care. What you need It's all about what they need. I'd say it's insurance fraud and criminal. They also said that I was in network, but on further investigation found out they would be hitting me for sixteen thousand dollars.

I began treatment in 2023 believing my insurance (Cigna) was accepted--only to be told after the braces were placed that it was not. After much back and forth, the office agreed to honor the insurance. However, I recently learned--on the day of my braces removal June 2025--that there was a balance due to an insurance change back in 2024. Despite my many follow ups, and the billing department knowing I'd have a balance due in December 2024, This was the first time I was made aware of any outstanding amount. To be told I owed a balance due the day I am scheduled for removal without any previous communication or breakdown of charges, felt unprofessional and unfair. Worse, I was informed that they would not remove the braces unless I paid in full that same day, which felt like a coercive tactic rather than responsible patient care. I had even attempted to communicate in advance regarding any balance and had requested a payment plan if one was truly necessary. My requests were ignored. They have threatened me with collections even though I told them I would pay, but need a payment plan. This experience has left me feeling taken advantage of and disrespected as a patient, and shows total disregard to my oral health as I am now left to find a new orthopedist to remove my braces. I hope others ask detailed questions about billing and coverage up front, and I strongly urge the office to improve their transparency and communication going forward.

Town Center Dental makes me feel comfortable and at ease. I recently moved back to the Hudson Valley and had to find a new dentist. I went elsewhere for a cleaning (which was fine) but then I had some intense tooth pain. I went to two different dentists and they both wanted to remove two teeth. I was like waaaaait.... what??? I just remember an old dentist saying, "A tooth in the mouth is better than two in the hand." Save the tooth if you can. Why did they want to pull them? It didn't feel right. So I started to search for a new dentist and found Town Center Dental via Google search. I rolled the dice and went in. As I went into the office, I was greeted by a wonderful reception staff and a bright, clean atmosphere. I met with Dr. Paes and lo and behold I didn't actually have a tooth infection and I most definitely did NOT have to remove two teeth. Phew! I would have been LIVID if I had just listened to the other butchers. So I decided to stick with Dr. Paes. Since then, I've had a bridge removed, an implant implanted (lol) and two crowns to cover the teeth from the bridge. The implant surgery and bridge removal were painless and seamless. He's seriously made a major difference in this short time. Also - side note. They have a CEREC machine which is super cool. CEREC is a computer that takes impressions of your teeth digitally. Basically that means you do not have to use that gooooey impression gunk and that hard metal tray to make impressions of your teeth. It's a wand that scans your mouth. AND the machine makes perfect crowns while you wait. PRETTY. FREAKIN'. AWESOME. And lastly, I know a little bit about dental pricing and it ain't cheap, but Town Center Dental is competitive and fairly priced and I promise you (so far...) it has been worth EVERY penny.

He had to work with broken equipment and after 30 or so minutes fixed it with plastic, tape, and a rubber band. His work during an implant proved he lacks the necessary skill set to pwrform the implant without causing additional pain. I twice complained to Dr Paes about the bullying and lack of professional skill by Dr Park, but he did nothing. Also, Dr Park wanted to do a full set of xrays even though I submitted a full set that had been done less than 6 weeks earlier. Stay clear of Dr Park. If I could give less than 1 star, I would

I'm happy to share that I have found that very dentist. I take good care of my teeth and typically go in for routine cleanings every six months and rarely have cavities. But when I do have the occasional problems that pop up every 3 or 4 years, they are significant and costly. Normally I get ahead of things before they become an issue but with my big move and a pretty intense past 10 months or so, I had gone an entire year without a cleaning or exam. And then an old crown popped off when I was flossing, reminding me that I better get my ass to the dentist. I searched for a dentist on Yelp and was finding that barely any are reviewed around these parts! And then I found Mel Mel Dental with what appeared to be a very sincere 5 star review, so I took a chance. In all my years of going to dentists, I find my experience here to be the best of all. I rarely if ever, have to wait. There's a family-like atmosphere amongst the staff that makes one feel immediately comfortable. If you look at their website, they give a bio on everyone from reception to hygienists to Dr. Suditu himself. So cool! I actually look forward to seeing the staff and Theresa, the dental assistant, is particularly great to talk to. She makes you feel immediately comfortable as if you're about to share a bottle of wine rather than get dental work done. Finally, a note on painless dentistry. Dr. Suditu is particularly careful to explain exactly what is going on from anesthesia (he expertly administers the shot so that you barely feel it) to the procedure itself. Similarly, he explains your options and takes insurance coverage into consideration. These are all the things that can cause stress in a patient. Now, if only I can find a doctor that I like even half as much...
