I do not have enough words of gratitude for the extraordinarily talented, patient, and compassionate staff at Valley Pediatric Dentistry/Ortho. If you are a parent like I am, who wants you kids to be seen by experts who also treat your kids with respect and care, this is your new dentist/orthodontist. When we moved to Westchester from the city about 8+ years ago we went to three different dentists to have our kids teeth cleaned. In each instance the dentist was fine, not terrific, their bedside manner was ambivalent at best, and they pretty much treated my kids as cogs on an assembly line. It got so bad that my youngest would get ill before going to the dentist. When my youngest had to have a tooth filled and the (FORMER) dentist brought out physical restraints for the procedure, I knew we were in the wrong hands. A generous neighbor recommended Valley and we never looked back. Both kids have seen dentists and orthodontists at the practice and their treatment is bar none. The kids have had braces and cleanings and fluoride treatments and fillings and go in with the same big smiles as when they walk out. The office staff are equally impressive and so generous with their time and support. When you walk in the door you are treated like family. When you call, you are treated like a person. No complicated phone systems or medical runarounds like so many other medical groups these days. Just smart people who care about what they do and actually like their patients. Before coming to Dr. Ben, I asked if he was in network for the procedure my newborn needed. He and his staff assured me that he was, and that I would get both a dental and medical reimbursement. He went into long detail about the time frames for both reimbursements, and which would be bigger. Despite that, he asked me to pay in full ahead of time. I had to repeatedly nag them to actually submit for insurance. When they finally did months later, both dental and medical denied the claims, saying he was not in network for the procedure he performed. While I don't know for sure, I suspect that the office knew that ahead of time, given that they 1) asked me to pay in full in advance, and 2) didn't bother submitting for insurance until I repeatedly nagged them to do so. read more

We take our toddler son here and have had great experiences with the dentist and dental hygienist. However the front desk needs a little bit of refinement in regards to follow up and returning calls in a timely fashion. It also seems that you always have to leave a message and they are never at the desk. But besides that , it is a good dentist read more

I have been taking my 5 year old son to Dr.Ben weekly for a few months now. He needed a lot of catch up work that previous dentist missed. I cannot say enough good things about this practice. It is truly a pediatric dentist office geared towards making children comfortable. The waiting room has video games and they even have televisions on ceiling to distract the children while getting work done. The decor is very modern and the office is very clean. All of the staff we have interacted with are extremely friendly. The first visit I was very nervous because he needed to have a tooth removed. Dr. Ben and his assistant Kristen were amazing. They kept him distracted and he didn't even flinch when he administered the novocain. They also give him tokens after his visit that he can use to get a little toy prize. My son actually looks forward to going and was sad when I told him we were almost done with his visits. I have been to a lot of dentist offices and have never been as happy as I am with this group. The office isn't in network with our dental insurance. But that is how good they are. It is worth the money to have the peace of mind my child is getting the best care there is out there. My girls are 2 and 3 and do surprisingly well in that dental chair. (This was their second visit.) Dr. Rima Parikh is great! She's very gentle and takes the extra time to explain everything she's doing before she does it. She makes them feel included which goes a long way. What a great dental group! I had to have a last minute root canal and Dr. Kearns Ana his assistant were amazing! The reception/administrative team were amazing with getting me onboarded as a new patient and fitting me in last minute! I can see why they have great ratings! Dr. Ben, Dr. Lin and the entire staff at Valley Pediatric Dentistry are consummate professionals. I have been taking my kids there for 14 years now and I would not go anywhere else.
