If you are a parent like I am, who wants you kids to be seen by experts who also treat your kids with respect and care, this is your new dentist/orthodontist. When we moved to Westchester from the city about 8+ years ago we went to three different dentists to have our kids teeth cleaned. In each instance the dentist was fine, not terrific, their bedside manner was ambivalent at best, and they pretty much treated my kids as cogs on an assembly line. It got so bad that my youngest would get ill before going to the dentist. When my youngest had to have a tooth filled and the (FORMER) dentist brought out physical restraints for the procedure, I knew we were in the wrong hands. A generous neighbor recommended Valley and we never looked back. Both kids have seen dentists and orthodontists at the practice and their treatment is bar none. The kids have had braces and cleanings and fluoride treatments and fillings and go in with the same big smiles as when they walk out. The office staff are equally impressive and so generous with their time and support. When you walk in the door you are treated like family. When you call, you are treated like a person. No complicated phone systems or medical runarounds like so many other medical groups these days. Just smart people who care about what they do and actually like their patients. Before coming to Dr. Ben, I asked if he was in network for the procedure my newborn needed. He went into long detail about the time frames for both reimbursements, and which would be bigger. Despite that, he asked me to pay in full ahead of time. I had to repeatedly nag them to actually submit for insurance. When they finally did months later, both dental and medical denied the claims, saying he was not in network for the procedure he performed. While I don't know for sure, I suspect that the office knew that ahead of time, given that they 1) asked me to pay in full in advance, and 2) didn't bother submitting for insurance until I repeatedly nagged them to do so.

They take pride in their work and do things thoroughly. They also are very sure of dental work needed prior to doing any of it. They make you feel so comfortable and help you understand everything they suggest and what's in your treatment plan. The receptionist is very helpful when trying to make an appointment and works with you on finding the best date and time for your convenience. They also have a great appointment reminder text message service so you don't miss your appointment. Sharon is the best hygienist I have ever gone to. She is super friendly and immediately puts you at ease the second you sit in her chair. The care she takes during the cleanings is something I have never seen before. She knows what's she's doing and helps you understand the benefits in what she suggests you do with your at home care. Dr. Chaudhry is amazing as well. She listens to you when you have questions or concerns and while she is thorough in her examination and the work she is performing, she is super gentle. I never feel rushed when I am asking questions and she really takes her time in explaining things thoroughly. I am so happy I found an amazing dentist's office that takes pride in what they do. Be careful with this dental office. When you call they tell you these things:…read more We accept your insurance, but we'll take X-rays just in case" to see what you need to get done. When they do that they are guaranteed to collect for those X-rays at least. Do they secure that payment. Whether you continue with other work or not, that payment is secured. Then bring in the dentist to tell you what you need to get done and how you can take out a credit card or set up a payment plan. We'll run the X-rays and see what your insurance covers" That often means they intend to bill out-of-network -- you could get a surprise bill. Then they say No charge for X-rays today" That sounds nice but sometimes means they bill you later or file out-of-network. In the end they tell you to go home and think about it then schedule an appointment, and of course you get so upset you don't return, and that's the sad part, they mislead you to go in to their office, take an X-ray and charge you for it, then break down a bill to you that they very well knew they weren't going to use insurance to cover.

I went into…read morehis office after avoiding the dentist for years over anxieties of a former disastrous dentist who I trusted for over a decade only to find out she wreaked havoc all those years in the mouths of my entire family. I literally cried as he called me into the chair, as i was explaining that I'm not an awful human with terrible dental hygiene, but that I have a wild fear of the dentist. We are talking my teeth have kept me up at night, haunted, that I was not seeing someone to address the issues I assumed were piling up in there. Dr. Fasman was as empathetic as possible. He relieved my fears with patience and promised we could tackle anything that could be wrong and he was absolutely right. He grabbed me a bunch of tissues in case my sobbing continued in the chair as he got started. He checked in with me many times along the way as he gave me a cleaning and worked on a filling. I can't tell you how amazing I felt tackling this fear, and with his help and understanding, it left me feeling relieved and incredibly happy with my choice of dentist. He talked me through everything he was doing, peppering in fun conversations. He is professional, personable, and great at what he does. I will be going back for my future cleanings and dental work, and will be referring him to anyone in the area and/or who will be willing to travel to him. Lucky and grateful to have found his services. Which reminds me: his assistant, Tara, is just as wonderful. Sweet, accommodating, and knowledgeable. Honestly could not have had a better experience. The office is clean and comfortable, the staff friendly and welcoming and I can't speak highly enough of Dr Keiles manner or qualifications. He diagnosed the problem and set up a treatment plan which included getting me booked with their oral surgeon the next morning! He has all the leading edge equipment including a scanner that makes a 3D image of your mouth so that you don't need to have those gooey, gag-producing trays for impressions! At least in most cases. Every person I met was friendly and well informed. His assistant was incredibly helpful. I feel like I've finally found my new dentist and am in excellent hands. They want tens of thousands of dollars we've always had problems with our teeth it's genetic and during the pandemic we both got pretty depressed. We don't like looking in the mirror so much unlike some people we know. Went to another dentist and ended up taking out insurance for the to the tune of about $65 a month. Then that Dentist tried to keep our $70 refund! Are you effing kidding me us? We knew immediately when the new patient coordinator said she would check to see if they took our insurance that they did not! Why can't they just do it as a courtesy considering we're paying out-of-pocket and you're gonna make us do all that paperwork? We just got through fighting for our rights to get certain entitlements that we have been on forever and if it had not been for Legal Services Of Hudson Valley we would be homeless! We're very tired of fighting with anyone or arguing with anyone for no reason at all. So we haven't been yet and if anybody has any information to tell us, please do. We want to be actually put to sleep because our teeth are in such registered shape and we blame ourselves and the fact that the pandemic shut down everything for over two years. We used to go to yoga right down the street three times a week and now we don't do anything but lie around in pain. I'm a mother of 2 kids and Dr. Bijoor's practice gave us the worst pediatric care I've ever…read moreencountered from any medical professionals. My then 2 year old was forcibly held down and hysterical during a cleaning and the hygienist said to me...ma'am, these instruments are sharp and if your son doesn't stop moving he's going to get hurt. Who in their right mind thinks that they can command a 2 yr old to sit still while a stranger sticks a sharp scaler into his mouth for prolonged periods?? I didn't know any better at the time and thought it was normal for dental cleanings to last only 5 min, coughed up approximately $265 each time (without insurance and was lied to about a free visit) and left the office each time while my son still had a mouthful of dirty, grimy teeth. My current pediatric dentist recommended an electric toothbrush that took care of all that grime without the need of sharp instruments and invasive scraping. Furthermore, we now have hygienists who patiently explain the procedures to each kid and sing to them as they "tickled" each tooth with a polisher.
