Dr Bova for example is amazing, perfect touch with Novocaine, not too much or too little, very aware the patient, very good "hands" during procedures. Negatives: Over time it has become like being inside a commercial for aligned products such as Botox, and most recently a diet plan. This may keep costs down, in which case it is a positive, but irritating. When I first went there it was a one Doc operation, and he was very good. Over the years it has grown and a number of dentists have come and gone, some of questionable quality, (although they usually don't last long), and collectively it is pretty impersonal now. If you take the time to talk to individuals, and request specific individuals it is still a good place. If you just take your chances you are still much less likely to have a bad experience than just randomly choosing names from the phone book. But it isn't 1990 anymore either.

Then I go back in to tell them that is oral surgeon they recommended has no idea why I'm even being sent there. Again here is Lynn, clueless saying we just recommend but won't give you the real reason.

I made an appointment at the Poughkeepsie office as a new patient. I was able to complete all of my…read morepaperwork online prior to the appointment. At the office I was greeted by Nikki. She welcomed me as if we were old friends and let me know that I would be seeing Loretta first. Loretta is easily one of the nicest people that I have met in a long time. She explained everything that she would be doing, form x-rays to cleaning, and performed all of this PAIN-FREE! I then saw Dr. Lina - another wonderful lady. She explained how she would address the issues that I had with a couple of my teeth, and just like that, I was finished, and Nikki was scheduling my next appointment. Are you supposed to feel uplifted and cheerful after a dental appointment? That's how I felt!

I have been going to this dentist office for five years now. They are formidable, I have seen Dr…read more Lina, but now my schedule works better with Dr. Marc. It is a family owned business. They have two locations: one in Highland NY and one in Poughkeepsie, NY. Both offices have similar hours, they are closed on Wednesdays and close around 2 PM on Fridays. Thursday is the day that they stay open late, until 7 PM. The staff is very friendly and personable. The dentists are very accommodating. For example, in order to get numb, I need a higher dosage than most people. At first Dr. Lina did not believe me, but she quickly understood and gave me an appropriate dosage. They also will tell you ahead of time if what you require is outside their scope, and they can give you referrals when possible. They listen to your concerns and double check everything to make sure your teeth and gum are healthy. They also send reminders for cleanings and check-ups in the mail and via text. Overall, I am very impressed with this office and would recommend them.

I had no other choice to go there for my implants. Had bottoms done. The dentist that does implants…read moreput me to sleep. I woke up my lip was three times bigger than it is like I got punched. It was black and blue. It gets better, I got four put in my mouth all in the front. Why did he see my mouth from my left jaw to my right jaw? He stitched my inner cheeks and the inside of my lip to my gums. I couldn't eat for 2 weeks. Than I got an infection and one he didn't sew up right it was exposed. I went back another dentist was there he said he wouldn't even touch me with a ten foot pole to receptionist. I heard him from the other room. He said he can't fix that screw up job. So the receptionist and the hygienist came in and said everything looks good sent me home. I came back when dr gross was there he said it's supposed to be this way. But when he first looked in my mouth his jaw dropped and his eyes got big. Yea it's supposed to look this way my a$&. I came back a week later dr gross took the 2000 sutures out. I couldn't feel my bottom lip. Until today a year later I still can't feel part of it and it hurts when it gets cold out. That bas$@&$ hit a nerve. I went to another dentist he told me he don't know what the hell doctor no nothing did to me and he said they did go through a nerve in my gum and I will never get the feeling back in my lip. So the new dentist did the top implants guess what he didn't even need to put sutures in. I was hesitant to go for the tops because the awful experience I had with Main Street dental. I went home that day and ate chicken franchise after I just had tops done. Than to find out Main Street used two different kinds of implants. He used what he had left over from another patient and charged. When it's done right it's supposed to be all the same implants. My knee dentist took X-rays of my bottom and said one is slanted. I can't do anything about it because if he tries to remove it it can fracture my jaw because dr no nothing put it so close to my jaw. I should have never went to sleep at Main Street because I woke up to a deformed mouth. Now I have to go back into surgery to cut my cheeks and lip away from my gums. He didn't have to see me from one end of my jaw to the other end. In my records that I requested said he only put four small sutures on each implant. If you can see the pictures you would drop to your knees. I lost 14 pounds because he did this to me I was 115 down to 101 pounds. My daughter called them screaming asking them what they did to me because she works for a dentist that does implants and she never seen such a mess. I could not go there because they didn't take my insurance. As the devil may have it. Well karma is sweet. He will be sorry he did this to me . I am letting everyone that will listen know what kind of practice this is. Please don't go there. Your risking your health. My son went there they did a cleaning without X-rays he went to my knew dentist he said it looks like he didn't even have them cleaned a week later he went to my new dentist. People should not be able to practice dentistry or medical if they where fired from another office. Yes I found that out after the damage was done. So doctor Flores covered up dr Mai screw up. He mentally messed me up I went into depression because of this.

This place sets the bar so low. I hope the details of my experience will save some good people out…read morethere from the pain, fright, sloppy dental work, and wasted time that I experienced at this office. 1. ALL FOUR fillings they gave me over the past two years have either fallen out or have needed to be replaced. My new dentist is currently re-doing all of them. One particular filling I had done there has had to be replaced, not once, but twice. First it was replaced by them a year after it was initially filled at their office, and now once more by my new dentist after it fell out AGAIN last week. The fillings they gave me were so poorly done that I've been uncomfortable and with tooth sensitivity ever since getting them. 2. When I gently brought up these issues at my last (ever) appointment there, the dentist I saw was defensive, aggressive, and used fear tactics with me as a response. I left the office shaken and afraid, and filled with misinformation about my dental situation, which my new dentist has debunked. I was so uncomfortable about going back that I never retuned. 3. They told me I had cavities that my new dentist says I do not have. He showed me the X-ray. They're not there. 4. Every time went, I saw a new dentist. For some reason its clinic-style, so you never see the same person twice. 5. In my whole life I've never had fillings fall out, only from this place. It's a disgrace that Medicaid dental options are this bad in the Hudson Valley--low-income people do not deserve poor health care just because they're poor. The office itself is depressing, old, dirty, and grimy. Actually can't believe this place exists. Like a nightmare you might have about a "bad dentist office." This review is for their Poughkeepsie office, they have a few spots, and neither Dr. Gross nor Dr. Flores was ever at this place when I've been there. Believe all the nightmare reviews and one-star ratings. They're accurate.
