I have been a customer of Sound Insight for over 20 years now and have gotten to know Fred Kaplan the owner. He put in my first plasma tv when the technology was brand new and did a perfect job integrating it with the sound system he installed at the same time. I have subsequently upgraded my tv and Fred recently set me up with streaming services to go with it - I know I'm way behind the times That it took so long. Being of an older generation new technology challenges me and Fred therefore made my system simple and easy to maneuver. And after Optimum came in and switched me to fiber optic cable they basically carelessly dismantled all of the good work done by Sound Insight. Fortunately for me all it took was one phone call and Fred came over that same day, fixed everything and wouldn't even let me pay him for an emergency "house call". I would recommend Sound Insight to anyone looking to set up new high tech tv or audio in their home.

It's also one of the most important pieces of equipment I own. Recently, the lens was apparently dropped or took a pretty significant hit, and the focus ring would no longer turn. I was horrified. This is my main wildlife lens, and I depend on it for my work. I sent it to Sigma for repair, and once again they reminded me why I've stayed with them for so many years. The turnaround was incredibly fast, but what impresses me even more is the pride they clearly take in their work. Not only was the lens repaired and working perfectly, it came back looking incredible. Honestly, it hasn't looked this new since I bought it. It feels like I got a brand-new lens back. After 14 years of using Sigma equipment, service like this means a lot. When your equipment is how you make your living, knowing the company behind it will take care of you is incredibly important. Once set up, the reliable reproduction produced is balanced, clear, extending both in highs and lows with a clear sweet mid. On my sons system we have used their lower, less expensive, cartridges with equal success. Meaning, the company's product line is solid and a good value in the market, great people too.

The speakers themselves are enclosed in Mahogany tone-wood and sound fantastic as if it was an actual musical instrument. They do have an open design so those around you can hear what you are listening too so keep that in mind. They also do not do well in a plane environment because of a lack of noise cancellation and the aforementioned open can design. Their e-mails were personalized and FAST, less than a 1 day turnaround. Today, I got a package from Sylvania. It had not one, but TWO replacement bulbs in it (a $40 value). This was an unexpected and most welcome surprise. I was only expecting to replace the new bulb I bought, but they sent me two. No charge for shipping or anything. THIS is customer service people!! :)
