Easy to get here from the Metro's Pentagon City stop .. when you get off the Metro and exit the turnstiles, just follow the signs at the "T" for Fashion Centre. There's a mix of regular and high end stores here, so you're sure to find a store that has what you're looking for. The food court has a number of fast food options, but you'll need to walk around nearby for better-than-fast-food. The one thing that annoyed me was no directory! None of the boards that should've been directories displayed any kind of map. And no, I do not have any interest in scanning a QR code to pull up something on my phone: in a public place like that, I have no idea if it's legit or not, or if it's a fake one that will hijack my phone or wallet. No public transportation nearby, but luckily they still got an easy to find address 1201 S. Joyce St (Google Map, Uber, etc don't direct you to some wrong, mistaken side or back entrance). We came here for the Asian Night Market event on a crisp but warm fall Saturday. Pretty nicely set up with Asian lute / plucked zither / drums. There were five stalls (run by some famous chefs!). The food wasn't really street food / finger food style. Vermicelli noodle for example, isn't really conducive to eating while walking around (in a bowl). The plaza has artificial lawns and nice wide loungers all over. The drawback is that there wasn't any public restroom (at least I didn't find any). That's unacceptable for such a public plaza that hosts festivals often. Sure there are toilets inside restaurants, cafes, and businesses around the plaza but one shouldn't be forced to go into one of them and beg.

I would give this store a 5 star rating regardless of the following story. I was visiting DC from out of town. We came to Nordstrom Rack to find reasonably priced clothing for a wedding, which they delivered on. While I was looking through the fabulous shoe selection, I must have dropped my wallet. Contents of the wallet were the standard: id, credit cards, cash ($45), but also included prescription sunglasses. The wallet itself was my mother's. After our Metro ride back to Eastern Market, I realized I didn't have my wallet. Once my initial panic subsided, I began to retrace my steps, riding the Metro back to Pentagon City. I looked, and looked, but no luck. I went back to my son's place feeling defeated. Fast forward a few months, the day before my birthday, I got a package from Nordstrom Rack at Pentagon City. I figured it was a gift from my son, remembering something I liked back in March. Well...imagine my utter surprise and astonishment to find the package contained my long lost WALLET!!!! Not only the wallet, but ALL the contents as well (YES, even the money)!! I was overjoyed!! My faith in humanity restored. WHAT a birthday present!! Having said all this (and good for you for sticking with this comment, lol!), I want to publicly acknowledge and THANK from the bottom of my heart, Jayla and the staff of this fine store!! I usually prefer TJ Maxx over Marshalls, so it pains me a little to say this, but the TJ Maxx in…read morethe Pentagon City area has been pretty underwhelming compared to the nearby Marshalls. Since I now work in Arlington, I visit both stores often, hoping to score the kinds of finds TJ Maxx is usually known for. Unfortunately, I haven't had much luck at this location. I still pop in from time to time out of habit and optimism, but more often than not, I leave empty-handed. Selection & Finds: The selection here feels hit or miss, leaning more toward miss lately. There's a sign for a "luxury" section, which initially caught my attention, but the items there tend to lack the quality you'd expect from something labeled luxury. It feels more like a concept than a well-executed section, which is disappointing when you're hoping to discover standout pieces. Store Experience: One of the biggest challenges with this location is how messy it can be. Racks often feel overcrowded, and items are frequently out of place, which makes browsing feel more like a chore than a fun treasure hunt. Compared to the Marshalls nearby, this store feels noticeably less organized and harder to shop. Service: The associates have been fine overall, but the general store upkeep makes the experience feel a bit rushed and less enjoyable than it should be. Pricing: The prices here can be decent, and I know TJ Maxx is known for good deals, but lately I've noticed more items that feel overpriced for what they are. Sometimes the discounts don't feel as significant as expected, especially when the quality doesn't quite match the price point. It makes it a little harder to justify purchases, especially when I'm not finding standout items to begin with. Overall, I still love TJ Maxx as a brand, but this particular location hasn't lived up to the standard I'm used to. If you're shopping in the Pentagon City area, you may have better luck at the nearby Marshalls.
