Holy smokes! As someone who has lived in SL for most of my life, I was surprised to hear of this place from my partner. He really wanted to try this place and it is such a hidden gem. The super burrito was a miss. However, the TORTA was quite scrumptious and the bread was crispy and fluffy. The meats were fresh, hot and flavorfol. It packed a lot of bite into each morsel and it was also my first time trying a torta! Too delicious and I am so glad my partner found this place read more

The restaurant was exactly how I remembered it from when I was a little girl--warm, inviting, and full of nostalgia. It had been years since my last visit, and I'm so happy I came back! I had the spinach enchilada, and I'm still thinking about it. The sauce was absolutely incredible--rich and deep, with a flavor reminiscent of mole. The spinach was perfectly fresh, and the tortilla was so soft it practically melted in my mouth. You could truly taste the care and love that went into every bite. The price was more than reasonable, and the quality was nothing short of amazing. I'll definitely be returning soon! A true San Leandro gem, 100%! read more

I've came here before and decided to give it another try with more plates. Over-all, This is a great restaurant! The customer service is amazing, top tier, so friendly and kind. The inside of the restaurant feels like someone's Mexican aunties house and the food is just so delicious literally, everything I tried was good, I was expecting something to be bad since they sell both pasta and Mexican food but everything was good! I was not let down at all! This spot is on my top 5 restaurants in the bay. read more

I have been going to this place for over 10 years. It's a mom's and pops kind of business. Food quality is consistent always good. read more

Great pasta and price! They don't have an updated menu but call them to confirm. Street parking but worth it!

I've heard this place has been here forever! & for good reason. Ordered a Torta for take out and it was delicious! The chicken was thin but not dry at all and VERY well seasoned. The vegetables were sooo fresh, & the bread really took it home for me. Was soft on the inside but did not get super soggy and held the ingredients very well. They also give you chips and salsa. The red salsa definitely has a kick to it so if youre not big on spice i would not advise but i prefer to dip my sandwich in it. Overall, ill definitely be back to try there other things. Ive also heard the fajitas are amazing. read more

Marina restaurant is a hidden gem! Sooo good! The staff is friendly and it feels amazing to be able to support a mom and pop local restaurant! It's small inside and almost feels like you're eating at your Abuelita's house. Don't recommend for large parties but 10/10 recommend! read more

This is our first time coming here. Upon arrival, we were asked if we wanted to eat in or take out. We told her we wanted to eat in and she told us to take a seat wherever we wanted. After seating, she brought us a menu and asked if we wanted anything to drink. A few minutes later, she came back with some chips and salsa and our waters and took our orders. We waited about 20 ish minutes for our food to arrive, everything was hot and fresh. She came by halfway between our waiting to let us know that our food will be out soon. It was delicious! I had 2 items and went with a chicken taco and tamale. To be honest, the tamale could've been better but it was still good. The taco was soo juicy and delicious!! It was packed with chicken and just so good! The food was filling and it was nice being there. Parking is limited but we were lucky to get a parking right in front. read more

Worst pasta dish ever, got chicken Alfredo with some broccoli. The pasta was old and the whole dish smelt and tasted weird like the sauce had turned. the chicken had a rub on it which had way too much salt not edible. Took only 1 bite and had to throw it away and got charged 23 $ for it crazy. Please do not waste your time and money with this place. The people working were nice that's the only reason they even got 1 star. I would like a refund!!!! read more

Returned to try the veal Scallapino and the fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. Both were super. The latter super creamy and the chicken was nicely grilled seemed like paprika. Very nice read more

You could easily miss the Marina Restaurant located on the corner with a limited amount of parking; this is not the most appealing restaurant, but honestly, come for the owners and the delicious food! I am delighted to say that I tried the Marina Restaurant for my first time yesterday (10/30/18). My Meetup Group decided to help me celebrate my birthday with Italian food (YUMMY!). Honestly, once I pulled up to the restaurant, I thought it was a joke. Marina Restaurant looks like a pizza establishment from the front. They're not cooking pizza up in here, baybee! They're cooking some delicious Mexican and Italian food! Now, Marina Restaurant is definitely known for their *Mexican food. Many people in my party were hesitated in coming as they reviewed this place online and nothing about Italian food came up. We had a set menu for our group. We started off with salad and garlic bread and then the main dishes started to arrive. Ahh, the lovely smell of Italian food makes me get SO EXCITED!!! We were able to taste several different Italian kinds of pasta and my favorite was the Alfredo pasta! OH EMM GEE! After dinner was all done, as I'm talking about how full I am...I was quickly surprised with a birthday cake coming from the owners. If you don't know ANYTHING about the Marina Restaurant, they are well-known for their delicious Tiramisu. If you enjoy it and want to order more you can ask them for a sheet of Tiramisu (make sure you order in advance). The service is wonderful! The owner was so apologetic for the wait time of our food we were a group of 25, so I totally understand the wait time for the main course. I truly enjoyed Marina! I can see myself coming back to try their torta and tacos. It's rare to be able to find a restaurant that does both: Mexican and Italian. Overall, a big THANK YOU to the owners at Marina Restaurant for truly making my birthday a memorable one! * Vegetarian-Friendly read more

I have had the food before and savored it so much my family and I decided to order catering from the Marina Restaurant for our backyard wedding event. The restaurant definitely played a part in making our special day that much more enjoyable. We order the chicken cacciatore as the main deñish for all the guests and everyone thought the food was delicious with most people serving themselves seconds and even thirds. The owner made sure that the food arrived hot, on time, and each part of the meal gave a very aesthetically pleasing presentation. This restaurant is a treasure that you could easily miss on Marina Blvd. Mexican and Italian?? They do both EXCELLENTLY. My dad always comes here for the spaghetti and meatballs. The portion sizes are generous and everything I've ever ordered has been delicious. I love their chorizo tacos The chorizo tastes homemade! Not like most taqueria's. Joel, the chef and owner, cooks really great authentic and tasty food. He runs the place with his family and they have been here for years. They are a very sweet and it's really nice to have a family business like this with great food and friendly service. This is one of my go-to places for Mexican... or Italian! Tips: Their Alfredo sauce is RICH. If you like spicy food ask for a roasted jalapeno! Spicy and flavorful :) read more

Everything that is made here, is made once you order it. It's so much fresher than what I eat at any of the other Mexican restaurants in the area. The meat has texture and flavor and the salsa is tasty with a slight spice to it. I had a super burrito and I can honestly say it is huge! And extremely delicious! The ambiance could be better (maybe because it's Thursday) but that doesn't change how delicious this place is. On a side note, my fiancée had the "pasta roja" with a vodka sauce, Mexican and Italian? What more can you ask for lol. read more
