Marina Beach Park is tucked off the main drive in Edmonds, though still close enough to readily access. I have been coming to this area for over 20 years, with more frequent visiting when I was growing up. My grandma lived in Edmonds and this is a place we came together to play on the beach. When eating at a nearby restaurant or visiting the marina, this was also a place we would come if we had some extra time. Parking is close to the waterfront, so it is not much of a walk once out of one's vehicle if accessing the park by car. A few picnic tables on a grassy hill look out over the beach, water, and on a clear sky day the Olympic Mountains may be in view. In my experiences here, it has tended to be well maintained.

Nice to have breeze standing under the shady trees (8/16/23)

Been living in the northend for over two decades and this was my first visit to Marina Beach Park in Edmonds (8/16/23). I usually see this area from the Edmonds-Kingston ferry. I've only visited Brackett's Landing by the ferry terminal or the waterfront beach/fishing pier area by Anthony's and Arnie's restaurants. There is a parking lot, grassy areas with picnic tables and benches, sandy beach waterfront areas, designated dog park areas, and portable toilets. Just an fyi - saw King County Sheriff Animal Control do a driveby patrol, so make sure to abide by the park rules with your four legged pets. The shaded area with large trees have no nearby seating, so most people brought their own lawn chairs or blankets. Or like me and The College Friend, we just stood under the shade and enjoyed the breeze during that hot late afternoon. The view was very pleasant with the Olympic Mountains, Puget Sound, has nearby trains passing by and lots of pleasure boaters.

What a lovely little spot at the Edmonds beachfront. Water and beach access, grassy fields and a playground. A dog park is also right there along the shoreline, so watch your children and fearful friends while wading or walking along the shore. Parking can be found on either side of the playground making for easy access to the area.

I finally visited this small park even though I'm only a 20 minute drive away! And what a lovey little park it is. You'll find a playground for children, a small beachfront, and a small dog park all next to each other. There are also walkways that connect to the boardwalk that will take you all the way to Edmonds Fishing Pier, which is also a fun spot to chill and take in the sights. On a clear day, you'll get a gorgeous view of the mountains. I must have spent a solid half hour just enjoying the view and taking pictures. Be warned, finding parking can be very difficult if you come in the afternoon. I got here around 11am and I was lucky to grab one of the last two spots. I spent an hour and a half on the boardwalk staring at the ocean. Yup, just staring. I loved it THAT much. I'm from the Midwest so any time I get outside of my flat, lame state, I am completely enamored. But upon coming to the marina beach park, I was straight up amazed that THIS is just down the street from the houses or in someone's neighborhood. Are you KIDDING me?! Spoiled. It's such a great place to walk, paint, fish, hang out with friends, workout, or literally just go by yourself and stare at the ocean for hours ... (don't judge). The view is unreal and will keep you wholly captivated. The mountains in the background, boats on the clear water, whew, it's stunning. They have a little bit of a beach area, obviously it's more rocky and dark than sand you'd find in Florida or CA. I would recommend this spot to anyone, and if you want you can just go right up the street and grab an amazing bite to eat anywhere that's open or walk into some fun shops/boutiques!

This is a great beach and park. There is a section of just before the beach that has a playground for children; also, there is a nice beach area that you can use or just take in the great view. Near the park trail/pathway to go for a long walk to the Ferry or other beach areas in Edmonds. This is an amazing place to spend the day, I highly recommend it.

Beautiful marina! If you look closely you might spot a seal! The beach marina has nice logs along the beach where you can sit and enjoy the view. The water is beautiful but cold! You can see Olympic mountains and ships along the water. There's also a dog park right next to the beach and you can see them wag their tails and jump into the water. Walking along the coast is quite pretty and you can walk on the marina to the other side of the beach as well.

I have come here over the years many times and have always enjoyed my visits. I have been here three times since covid. The people you see walking around are really friendly. I have yet to come here and not meet someone nice to chat with and I'm not usually one to chat! Visiting the fishing pier has also been a cool thing to do. I also really enjoy getting to see the ferry's come and go. There's are decent restaurants around for a good meal so it's easy to make a day trip in this area.

First, to be clear. This is one beach divided into two parts. One for people and one for off leash dogs. The dog beach is separated by a fence. This review is about the people beach. Okay, so this is a Puget Sound beach. If you're new to the area, never, ever in your wildest dreams expect a soft, sandy beach. Puget Sound is just too new (geologically) to have produced nice, soft sand beaches like you get at the coast. This beach has course sand and pebbles, some of them are rocks. There are also a lot of logs... a lot of logs. The logs are left over from the heyday of logging in the area when huge logging booms were towed around the sound and occasionally the chains would break and the logs would float away and wash up on shore. You'll find beaches all over Puget Sound that are littered with logs. It's not natural and I've often wondered why the various parks departments don't rid the beaches of them. However, they do make a nice place to sit - as long as you don't break a leg falling off one on your trek over the log pile to the beach. Having said all that which sounds pretty negative, it's a very lovely beach... for the Puget Sound area. The view is beautiful, there's a very nice grass area and the beach itself is long enough to stroll on. There's a paved path, though it's short and not made for roller skates but it's still nice if you just want to take in the view without climbing over logs. This is a very popular beach when it's warm and sunny so the parking areas can be full, but I usually find a place to park along the street that isn't too far away. Come down during storms and you may even see a 1 or 2 foot wave! It's high drama on the Puget Sound! BTW I've often found seal pups on this beach. It's against Federal Law to approach them. They're fine, mom is just out feeding and will be back soon, as long as you don't hover around Jr., that is. Oh, and they can even look.. well, kind of dead since they throw sand onto themselves. They're not dead, they're just dirty.

I have visited Marina Beach Park 3 times this year, and I loved each one of the 3 experiences - 1) in February with my best friend Ryan, when we sat on a log by the water, peacefully chatting and enjoying the beautiful sunset, 2) in May with a small group, when we sat together at one of the many picnic tables, chatted, and ate food we'd brought and/or made ourselves, and 3) about 2 weeks ago (in August) with my husband, when we walked along the beach together where the water lapped against the shore, pausing every now and then for a hug. Each time, I was able to find a parking spot near the dog park, and each time, it was busy but not overly crowded. Usually kids are playing happily along the shoreline or in the small park with slides etc, so it seems to be a good park for kids. It's a very beautiful and peaceful place to sit and watch the boats moving slowly along the water. This is not a good beach to have a longer walk or a run - there is a tiny walking path that is fairly heavily-used that you can walk the entire length of in about 5 minutes flat, and the length of sand isn't very long either. However, since neither long walks nor running were the purpose of any of my visits, that didn't bother me. This is a great place to take your dog to, or to chill on the beach with friends or family.

Had a relaxing and calming time at this dog park slash public park that ends on the water. Weird random trains go by sometimes and were pretty loud on weekdays but that is totally part of the charm. Also signs all over making sure folks only do off leash dogs in the specific dog park area. Small playground for the kiddos and little humans and a couple path trails and logs to climb and explore things close to the water. FREE PARKING FREE PARKING FREE EMPTY PARKING!!! DONE AND DONE! Was here during the day though around 3 or 4pm ish so cant speak about weekends. just creep pass all the marina boats and parking, drive around past about 3 or 4 parking lots to the end, and you will see the park and the prking for the park right at the end. Had a great self-care, nap time moment here and want to return.

This small park in Edmonds next to the yacht club has a fabulous view of the water, great beach with BBQ stands, tons of driftwood and rocks, and a small dog park. I'll be coming back here to do some art and chill out. They have a little agility course for the pups, and the dog park is fenced in. Limited parking and no turn around so don't get stuck at the end of the road.

Really nice place to spend an hour or more. Most people we saw were crowding the beach but there were plenty of places to spread out and a few places to sit along the way. Beautiful area and a lot of parking, which is always a plus!

I don't know why, but I have always been scared crossing the bridge over the railroad tracks on the way from the parking lot to the beach. I have no fear of heights, and in fact I feel much more peaceful in the air or on the water than I do on the earth. The bridge is sturdy and safe, with tall, secure fencing on both sides. Little kids were crossing it today with no fear at all. One little kid was getting pulled across it in a large wagon. That was pretty cute to see. It is a bit of a trek from the parking lot to the beach area, a trek that includes this perfectly safe bridge which I somehow mysteriously feel scared while walking on. I recently injured my right heel playing tennis, so I was limping and hobbling and walking quite slowly, but this walk was still quite doable for me today. There were a lot of people at this beach park today, but it really didn't feel crowded, and everyone we talked to was friendly. The only slight bummer was that one of the reasons that we went out there today was to talk with a Naturalist from the Seattle Aquarium. We talked with 3 different Naturalists. They were all friendly enough, but all 3 of them seemed noticeably unenthusiastic about talking about the sea life at this beach park. Oh well, we moved on pretty quickly from that, and we really enjoyed this beach park anyway. There were a few people flying kites, and the mountains looked clear and bright behind the sunlit water. I waded in the water (one of my favorite things to do in life), and the cold waves breaking over my legs and feet felt wonderful on a hot day like today. 5 stars for sure. This place is so beautiful.

We rented our gear from the dive shop right in front with two tanks and got into the water at 5pm. We were lucky that day as the waves were calm and visibilitiy was 40-50 ft. The good thing was the walk at the sand was short but the surface swim to the first buoy before we sank down was a 10 min swim and easy to cramp up in cold waters. We saw enormous groupers, sunken ships, crabs, large sea slugs and my boyfriend even claimed he saw a seal pop his head up to the surface when we were swimming back to shore. The best recommendation for this dive is to call the dive shop in advance to check if other divers said the visibility that day was good - makes a world's difference!

One day a duck flew over the lake, then in front of us, twisting in midair so its feet faced us then flew back to the lake and landed as if to say, hey I'm not afraid of you two. Schatzi just looked at me and was mildly amused by the duck, she looked more interested in going swimming. The lake has been closed to swimming and wading for a while due to pollution issues, so keep that in mind when visiting. Trails from Shoreview Park, from Boeing Creek Park, and Innis Arden Way are the easiest way to access Hidden Lake. If you are a bird air access might be easiest and if you are a salmon water access from Boeing Creek may be the easiest. During the Spring and Summer it is especially fun to come here and look for ducks and their babies. My mom and I have been standing on the shore and had a bunch of ducklings and adult ducks invade the beach as we were standing there. Duck and duckling diving sessions are captivating to watch. Odd creatures also abound here... I once saw what might have been a baby Sasquatch. I have found traffic to the lake to be heavier in the early evenings and during the summer months when middle schoolers and high schoolers frequent the lake and surrounding parks. It's tucked away in Richmond Beach on the waterfront, and even though I am in Richmond Beach a fair amount, including a bar not too far from here, I had no idea this existed. You can not access the water as train tracks and a fence keep you inside the park. It's a small place with little parking, but an actual bathroom on site, a playground, black berry picking and gorgeous views. It seems to be a nightly walking place for many residents in the neighborhood and a hang out spot for local teenagers. In the actual lot there are only 5 spots (1 handicap), but it appears people are able to park up on the hill above the park and walk in. The play ground looks like a nice reason to visit, but it currently has some yellow tape on it for covid. Dining seems to continue to bring in visitors as there are a few picnic tables and we witnessed multiple people stop by with take out. It's very nice to be able to watch the ferries go by, including some big ships and if you are lucky a train or two. I think this would be an enjoyable place for anyone who likes to gaze out over the water. I plan to go back some day when cruise ships return and see if I can catch one going by, in the mean time though its a great place to watch a sunset.
