Erin Loved Loved…read more * 2026-08-07 (Website Order/San Rafael) AMICI'S Never disappoints!! I have to say, TODAYS order (7/7/26) was the ABSOLUTE BEST Ever!! They gratuitously honored every single one of my "special requests," (what can I say, I live in Marin!! Doesn't everyone from Marin have special request?? ha!ha!) At least I had no dietary restrictions (I'm a former Marin server, so "I know & can RELATE!) . Thank you Amicis for hooking a girl up!! Dinner is, and continues to be WONDERFUL!! Tonight's order will easily last 3-4 nights!! I highly recommend Amicis to EVERYONE! Much Love & Appreciation to the Exec Chef, ALL the cooks, Mngmt, and the owners! xx, Erin Mc

They offer Detroit thick crust and New York thin crust pizza with a gluten free option if the thin crust. The NY crust is my fave... thin, chewy crisp crust. Mmm. This time, we dined at the restaurant. It is in the heart of downtown San Rafael on 4th Street . The shop front is not very large. We got there early and they were able to accommodate the eight of us. The fam ordered garden salads and three pizzas with one being gluten free with vegan cheese (Daiya brand). The gluten free fam bammers liked the crust. It looked just like the non gluten crust and had the same beautiful flame fired blistered crust. Mmm it was delicious as well. Our food was served quickly after ordering. Besides pizza, the menu includes appetizers, salads ( in various sizes), sandwiches, pastas, desserts, kid menu, and alcohol (wines, beers, and hard seltzers). Heads up on the parking situation. There is metered street parking ($1.50 per hour and free on Sundays & after 6pm) and is mostly parallel. If parallel parking is not your jam, the downtown city lot is around the corner on C Street ($1 per hour and free on the weekends). FYI - they accept: cash payments with bills no larger than a $20, credit cards, Apple Pay, and Goggle Pay.

Creekside Pizza and Taproom San Anselmo/Marin County…read more--------------------------- Pizza and burritos- is there anything else? These are the two items that I could eat maybe every day for the rest of my life. A pizza or a burrito can be stuffed with anything you like, any ingredient that you enjoy-it works. The joint is packed, the Giants baseball game is flashing on the screens, the beer is flowing, and the pizza is flying out the oven! The service is always exceptional. The food is sensational. Customer Service 5/5 The staff was always friendly to us, which we truly appreciated, especially when visiting small towns when we are not from the area. We felt so welcomed. Ambience 5/5 The ambience was lovely, we especially loved the large windows with great views, and the booths were very comfortable. They also have a bar ! Cleanliness 5/5 We noticed the staff thoroughly cleaning the tables, very clean! Wait Time 5/5 Fair wait time ! Cost 4/5 It was a bit on the pricier side for a pizza shop, maybe because we ordered half and half on one pizza. For the size and portion, one pizza felt a little more costly, but the quality and taste were definitely worth it overall! Drinks 5/5 We loved their selection of beer and really enjoyed our drinks!

The pies are great and while I don't typically love crust, theirs is chewy and worth the extra carbs. I usually order a caesar salad or their seasonal salad option (warning: prepare yourself for a hearty dinner salad) with at least 1 of these pies: Mushroom w/ sausage (secret menu), Bianca, Napoli or their Margherita. You honestly can't go wrong with any pie. They don't take reservations and it's hard to find on your first visit. They are located upstairs above Vin (wine bar) and you can enter from 4th St or from their back entrance. The two things I wish for: them to offer delivery or a call ahead option for pickup and that they were open more nights. Wed-Sat simply isn't enough!

The tiny space gets warm from the enclosed wood fired pizza oven, but that's part of the charm. The simple menu delivers delicious cocktails, a very generous Caesar topped with toasted breadcrumbs and shaved Parmesan, and beautiful thin crust pizzas cooked to order. I've encountered a few par cooked spots in my crust here, not my favorite, but the ingredients are always top notch and the authentic, unpretentious friendly feel here makes this a very unique spot. Nice, hardworking staff and a first-come seating area that is nearly as large as the restaurant itself, means that a wait here is pretty likely. Rough around the edges, but in a good way.

Romantic vibe

This is my second visit here, but this is my first review (I forgot to review my last visit!). But…read morethis time there were more of us! This place is very nice all around. Good location, plenty of parking across the street in a public garage, nice décor and ambiance, wonderful staff, and a good menu, although it is light on vegetarian options; but if you are not a picky vegetarian, you can still leave happy and fed. There is plenty of indoor seating, and even a nice side patio protected from sun and wind; however, being alongside 3rd Street, a rather busy street, it can be a bit noisy. As nice as the day was, we opted to dine inside so we could chat. They have some good appetizers, and we chose the onion rings and the must-try Ooey Cheesy Balls (5 fried potato balls, mozzarella, parmesan, parsley, house-made smoked jalapeno aioli). The onion rings are plentiful and not at all greasy, a great start to the meal, but the anchor of the apps (for me at least!) are the Cheesy balls. They are different: basically mashed potato balls with cheese inside, deep-fried, and delicious! The house-made smoked jalapeño aioli is awesome too, and it's my preferred dip for the onion rings. For the entrees, I tried a pizza for once, after seeing many good reviews. I tried the Blue pizza (Garlic & herb olive oil, mozzarella, blue cheese, spinach, artichoke, mushroom, red onion). We also had the Buttermilk Fried Chicken sandwich (Butter lettuce, tomato, fresh slaw, pickle slices, house- made smoked jalapeno aioli (mild), brioche bun), the Chicken Salad Sandwich (Poached chicken, celery, parsley, dill, lettuce, tomato, pickled red onion, mayonnaise, focaccia bread) with an added mashed potatoes for a side, and a Chicken Pesto Panini (Pesto, roasted bell pepper, spinach, provolone, mayonnaise, focaccia bread). All the meals were very fresh, and the food was great! The Buttermilk Fried Chicken Sandwich was a tower to look at, with two breasts as the main feature. The other sandwiches were well liked as well, but I know I was the lucky one with the pizza for lunch. If you like blue cheese, this is a great pizza you don't often find elsewhere. The toppings were just right, though I wouldn't have minded a bit more blue cheese, and the olive oil base instead of a red sauce was perfect for letting the flavors really come through, with the cheese, meaty chunks of mushrooms, and onions all balancing each other. The crust was a separate delight, a very thin sourdough type with a crust worthy of eating on its own - and it was! Sadly, between the appetizers and the entrees, there was no room for a dessert, and we all took home some of our lunches, and two of us brought home food for others! Always share the goodness . . . Can't wait for the next visit!

The breading on the calamari is very light which was great since some places over bread it. The meatballs was really good when eaten with the bread, loved dipping the bread in the sauce. The penne was cooked to al dente, love the creamy porcini sauce.

Stefano's is clearly a local favorite, given you often see their boxes at school events, camp…read morelunches, and neighborhood gatherings all the time. So I wanted to like it more than I actually do. Here's my main issue: the sauce situation. There's barely any on the pizza by default, and if you want what I'd consider a normal amount of sauce, they charge extra for it. That feels a bit like charging extra for a burger to actually have seasoning. The cheese is fine, the crust is fine, the toppings are fine. Everything is solidly in "okay" territory. Nothing offensive, but nothing that makes me think "I need to order from here" either. Skip the wings. They taste like they've been reheated from frozen, often arrive soggy, and have this thick breading that slides right off. Worse, they're frequently overcooked to the point where the bones actually splinter inside the meat, which is both unappetizing and kind of concerning. Just not worth ordering. The staff is genuinely friendly, which counts for something. There's a private parking lot, so no circling the block looking for a spot. And the coupons they mail out regularly do bring the price down to a reasonable level compared to other chain pizza places in the area. I wouldn't go out of my way to order from Stefano's, but I seem to be in the minority here. Plenty of people clearly love it. There's a reason it's become the default pizza for so many local schools and camps. Kids especially seem to be fans, and if you're feeding a crowd on a budget with their coupons, it gets the job done. It's a perfectly serviceable neighborhood pizza place that works well for many people, just not my first choice. If you're curious, maybe start with just a pizza (extra sauce, trust me) and form your own opinion.

The young man making my latte was friendly and quick with a joke, and we shared a couple of laughs while he prepared my drink. The latte itself had a rich coffee flavor without being too strong or bitter, just the way I like it. We somehow managed to resist the gelato and the extra calories this time, although a few of the flavors looked very tempting! Overall, it was a pleasant first stop with good coffee, a comfortable atmosphere, and friendly service. Next time we're in the neighborhood, we'll have to return and investigate that gelato a little more closely.
