There is a parking plaza located across the street, but you will likely have to search to find a parking spot. I went on a weekday afternoon after 4:00 p.m. and had to hunt for a spot. 2) They have a limited wine and beer list. I found a decent Pinot Noir to go with my pizza. 3) I haven't been here before and came by in on the recommendation of a friend. The Ghiringhelli combo pizza that I got hit the spot. It had a chewy crust and the flavor of the ingredients came together nicely. 4) The ambience was warm and cozy... Perfect for a rainy winter night. 5) Service was okay. I was trying this place out for the first time. The cashier gave me a takeout box upon request. 6) Contrary to what is listed under Yelp features, dogs are not allowed inside. Eat in ambiance has suffered-- better to order take out or delivery-- but, Long waits to place orders over the phone-- even after multiple calls-- keep being put on hold. Nice wait staff when I went over the summer. Pizza was better than I remembered a few years ago, they must have changed the recipe. The cooks and staff are very kind and I like the community they create with each other. My favorite pizza is the "Ghiringhelli Combo" or the "Chicken Pesto." It's a home-y place. I could definitely spend a while in there writing a bit, because it has a very comforting vibe to it. Adequate proof-writing environment. I cooked up a couple good proofs in there (pun intended!) on prime numbers. Could use more mathematical formulas along the walls, but I understand this is a high standard that many business fail to meet! Ha, ha! Absolutely delicious spot with gluten free pizza crust available in size medium only. We shared a half cheese and half green alluvium pizza as well as meatballs. Last three times coming in my orders came out wrong. On my last visit they came to the table to ask what I ordered and realized they forgot to put pepperoni and onion on, so they just floated them on the top with nothing holding them on. Onions nearly raw slid right off as well. Maybe that's the way they do it all the time but I've never, ever, seen it done this way. We ordered two pizzas and a salad on Halloween for take out. We hadn't ever eaten here before and chose this place because the GF wanted anchovies on her pizza. We normally get our pizza from Picco or Pizzalina. We understood this is a different style of pizza. Our order was supposed to be ready between 4:55 and 5:05. I think we got there at 5:05 or a little later due to the Halloween parade. One pizza was ready. About 10 minutes later the other pizza was ready. The staff was friendly and upbeat and dressed in costumes. I ordered The Aloha and they failed to put on the jalapenos and spicy honey. The main two ingredients why I ordered this pizza. The roasted beat and and Asian pear salad was good. The dressing was well balanced and all the ingredients worked together. The GF's created her own pizza and and she enjoyed it. I don't think I'll drive from San Rafael to get pizza here again. I'll never know what the pizza I ordered tastes like. read more

I have to ammend my prior review of Ghiringhellis because the business ( shout out to the Manager) presented me with a rather flawless, gorgeous version of their Harvest pizza. Their house made sausage, butternut squash, and balsamic glaze on pillowy crust were transcendent. In fact, it was so delectable as to render my previous opinion on Yelp to be obsolete. And that act of kindness of honoring customers is becoming extinct in our increasingly self service world. They use top notch fresh ingredients with really great flavor combinations, and even a limited daily production of NY style pizzas. I love the Wild Mushrooms & Fresh Roasted Garlic cloves as a combo, but whatever savory flavors you like, they can make it and they'll make you happy! They also sell slices, have a nice selection of beers on tap, good salads, and classic Italian sandwiches. Stumbled in here after hiking 7+ miles nearby. We were so excited to find a pizza place with vegan options (they can add Miyoko's cheese to any of their pizzas!). Ghiringhelli's Pizza were slinging pizzas while I was in high school (Drake High, aka Archie Williams), and they still are, which says alot about a foodie spot in Fairfax- whatever they are doing, they are doing it right! Pizza ready to order by the slice, or a fast turnaround for a custom pie. I was craving a blue cheese wedge salad, and ordered what turned out to be exactly what I was craving! The pizza arrived piping hot and perfectly cooked- the high temp required for an excellent pizza is achieved with Ghiringhelli's pizza team and those specialized pizza ovens. The variety of fresh toppings are ample, the dough crisp and crunchy on the outside, fluffy and delicious on the inside. The local restaurant staff are all cheerful and definitely keep in circulation that local Fairfax soul. If you are hankering for foods, and see the open sign, definitely stop in. read more

Everyone who I have ever taken here love their pizza and salads. It is very family friendly and the vibe is upbeat. On a side note and I realize this is not what makes a great pizza but their ranch is the best I ever had and have to dip my crust ends in it. You have the option of thin or thick crust. There used to be a popular Instagram, slice of SF, which followed one anonymous pizza lover's odyssey trying almost every pizzeria in the Bay Area. I don't know if it started as a search for the holy grail of pizza or was always about the journey, but this guy almost never met a pizza he (or she) didn't like. Lately, I've realized I relate to this anonymous pizza lover. I thought I was on an almost twenty year quest to find real New York pizza in a California, but now I realize that while I have yet to find the one, I've rarely if ever encountered a pizza I didn't like. And of all the Bay Area pizza I've tried, Ghiringelli's is a solid choice. Pure comfort food. We picked up one cheese pizza and one with pepperoni, black olives, and mushrooms. The sauce was mild, which was a good choice for the kids. (Red Boy was an old standby, bit the sauce is too spicy for my kids, who basically only tolerate a 0-1 out of 10 on a spiciness scale). The crust was more soft than chewy when comparing it to NY pizza. This was a plus to my Californian kid #1. And perhaps most notably, Ghoringhelli's is a local small business that offers more reasonable prices than most other options in high-rent Marin. We'll definitely be back. read more

We had a wonderful meal here on the way back from exploring Point Reyes. We posted this review specifically because we wanted to shout out our waiter Diego. He was so charismatic, genuine and warm that it made dining experience a special and memorable one. We ordered a large half and half pizza, half Funghi and half garlic/bacon and it was incredible - crunchy crust, served hot fresh out the oven. We devoured it like it was our last meal. We went around 5:30 after a movie and likely scared patrons with how loud our party was but the staff was so incredibly kind and helpful throughout. I came to Ghiringhelli's hungry after a workout and left feeling very satisfied. This time I got The Godfather which is my go to. I like coming here because the breadsticks are always bomb and they have salads too. The people working here are friendly and seem to know a lot of the customers. I will always leave a tip.. but to be charged 10 percent on 70.00 dollars because I ordered in person and did not eat there is not cool. If your family wants pizza but you don't, I suggest the spinach salad. I had it last night and it was hearty and delicious (a bit small actually but super tasty). We've been to this place no fewer than five times to order slices. On four of the five times we ate there, they screwed up our order, an order of three slices of pizza. I'll repeat that, because it is staggering but true. On FOUR of FIVE visits, they screwed up our order of three slices of pizza. Wrong toppings, missing toppings, missing a slice, I mean they screwed it up in some creative ways. Once they made it up by sending us with a whole pizza to make up for their mistakes, and it was wrong as well. Very nice people, but just completely careless about what they're doing. Pizza is pretty average at best. For slices, they start with a basic cheese pizza, then throw whatever toppings they decide to throw on there (regardless of what you ask for...oh, you want olives? Here, how bout white onions instead? You want pepperoni? How bout mushrooms instead?) without topping with cheese and then shove it in the oven long enough to just barely heat everything up. $40 for 4 screwed up slices of poorly cooked pizza has become a deal breaker for us.
