We have gotten pizza here several times and each time it's better than the last. The pizza is amazing and the service is great whether you are getting food to go, dining in, or having something delivered (and they deliver to Sleepy Hollow, which is rare!). We love the thin, crispy crust and how generous they are with their toppings. We both love the pizza sauce--I love that I can order it thinly spread, while my husband orders extra sauce. The toppings are so fresh and delicious! I'm craving the fresh basil and tomato with mushrooms and extra cheese. My husband loads up on the meats--meatballs, prosciutto, sausage, pepperoni, and anchovies! Most of the time, we get pizza to go, but service inside in friendly and easy going. It's located between two very popular places so the people watching is great. Parking is pretty easy, especially for Fairfax. The parkade is across the street, and two other lots are nearby, besides free street parking. read more

Here's what you should know about Ghiringhelli's Pizzera: 1) Fairfax is a small town and parking can be tight. There is a parking plaza located across the street, but you will likely have to search to find a parking spot. I went on a weekday afternoon after 4:00 p.m. and had to hunt for a spot. 2) They have a limited wine and beer list. I found a decent Pinot Noir to go with my pizza. 3) I haven't been here before and came by in on the recommendation of a friend. The Ghiringhelli combo pizza that I got hit the spot. It had a chewy crust and the flavor of the ingredients came together nicely. 4) The ambience was warm and cozy... Perfect for a rainy winter night. 5) Service was okay. I was trying this place out for the first time. The cashier gave me a takeout box upon request. 6) Contrary to what is listed under Yelp features, dogs are not allowed inside. Only service dogs are allowed. read more

Ghiringhelli's Pizzeria - ##1 Ghiringhelli Combination - Regular Crust (Small 10") - Pizza Near Me - Fairfax, California

Delicious thin crust pizza! Perfect balance in the cheese, sauce and toppings. Would come back here and would recommend it to anyone driving through Fairfax. Excellent staff and great service. read more

Absolutely delicious spot with gluten free pizza crust available in size medium only. We shared a half cheese and half green alluvium pizza as well as meatballs. My son ate a bunch of the meatballs and enjoyed the cheese pizza. I had a Pellegrino that was also a shareable size. Highly recommended! read more

Nice wait staff when I went over the summer. Pizza was better than I remembered a few years ago, they must have changed the recipe. The cooks and staff are very kind and I like the community they create with each other. My favorite pizza is the "Ghiringhelli Combo" or the "Chicken Pesto." It's a home-y place. I could definitely spend a while in there writing a bit, because it has a very comforting vibe to it. Adequate proof-writing environment. I cooked up a couple good proofs in there (pun intended!) on prime numbers. Could use more mathematical formulas along the walls, but I understand this is a high standard that many business fail to meet! Ha, ha! It was quite over the summer but I imagine this is because many people leave the county over the summer. I wish I could go back soon! read more

Unfortunately this establishment has gone downhill. Eat in ambiance has suffered-- better to order take out or delivery-- but, Long waits to place orders over the phone-- even after multiple calls-- keep being put on hold. They need more staff period and more seasoned staff-- bless the hearts of the teens working there & running the place but they need more support. read more

Bad pizza. Worst I ever had. Don't go. There a much better pizza places in Fairfax. In fact they are all better

We've been in Fairfax for about 10 years now, and really want to love Ghiringhelli pizza, but its really not great. The dough is not good, the toppings are not good (don't touch the sausage), and its so so salty. read more

Ghiringhelli Pizza is awesome! They have a fun and welcoming down-home atmosphere with service that is super friendly. They use quality ingredients and their crust is perfect. We've had delicious pizzas here for over 30 years!! The toppings are abundant and their prices are still very fair. Same family owners with a great community vibe. Mike is a kind and quality human being, and so we like supporting his loyalty to Fairfax over all these years as well. Highly recommend! read more

Got the marg and the sauce was especially yummy! The youth completing my order needed some help but ‍ I was hoping that ¡Gluten Free Pizza! meant the chef had crafted their own special gf pizza dough but it's same uninspired gf cracker crust that I can only assume is the same mediocre and ever present gf brand, Udi's. But at least they have a gf option! read more

Last three times coming in my orders came out wrong. On my last visit they came to the table to ask what I ordered and realized they forgot to put pepperoni and onion on, so they just floated them on the top with nothing holding them on. Onions nearly raw slid right off as well. Maybe that's the way they do it all the time but I've never, ever, seen it done this way. The people are really nice and I really wanted to enjoy this place but the food is a drag. read more

Ghiringhelli's Pizzeria - Slices - Pizza Near Me - Fairfax, California

We ordered two pizzas and a salad on Halloween for take out. We hadn't ever eaten here before and chose this place because the GF wanted anchovies on her pizza. We normally get our pizza from Picco or Pizzalina. We understood this is a different style of pizza. Our order was supposed to be ready between 4:55 and 5:05. I think we got there at 5:05 or a little later due to the Halloween parade. One pizza was ready. About 10 minutes later the other pizza was ready. The staff was friendly and upbeat and dressed in costumes. I ordered The Aloha and they failed to put on the jalapenos and spicy honey. The main two ingredients why I ordered this pizza. The roasted beat and and Asian pear salad was good. The dressing was well balanced and all the ingredients worked together. The GF's created her own pizza and and she enjoyed it. I don't think I'll drive from San Rafael to get pizza here again. I'll never know what the pizza I ordered tastes like. read more

They make delicious pizza, the sausage is especially good, and they are priced fairly! word to the wise, they use the sweet and not the spicy sauce on their pies but i would recommend the specialty options even though we are all addicted to the sausage green bell pepper and feta! read more

I have to ammend my prior review of Ghiringhellis because the business ( shout out to the Manager) presented me with a rather flawless, gorgeous version of their Harvest pizza. Their house made sausage, butternut squash, and balsamic glaze on pillowy crust were transcendent. In fact, it was so delectable as to render my previous opinion on Yelp to be obsolete. And that act of kindness of honoring customers is becoming extinct in our increasingly self service world. Thank you Ghiringhellis AND Fairfax for exhibiting the (unfortunately) more rarely seen acts of true kindness, hospitality, and compassion. read more

My favorite pizza in Marin! It's all about the crust!! And the staff is really nice to top it off ;)

Great place. I really like the artisan pizza. It is a great place to grab a pizza in Fairfax . We order pizza all the time and pick it up or get it delivered. Great after Little Games! read more

Ghiringhelli's Pizza is owned and operated by the third generation of a 100+ year local Fairfax family. They use top notch fresh ingredients with really great flavor combinations, and even a limited daily production of NY style pizzas. I love the Wild Mushrooms & Fresh Roasted Garlic cloves as a combo, but whatever savory flavors you like, they can make it and they'll make you happy! They also sell slices, have a nice selection of beers on tap, good salads, and classic Italian sandwiches. It's a favorite with locals and kids, the staff are always friendly, and they do delivery too! read more

Had the best salad other night from Ghiringhellis (pear with beats) and the pepperoni pizza. Their pizza is our family's favorite. I have 2 picky teenagers and Ghiringhellis is always are go to when I don't want to cook, been eating here since I was a teenager and I can say it's only gotten better, thanks for always being in our community, u make many people happy and full. read more

very tasty pizza and friendly service. Highly recommend!!! it was busy but the staff was patient and helpful to our many needs with 3 kids. read more

Love this local pizza spot! Slices and all. It's always my go to pizza to order for my kids

Ghiringhelli's Pizza were slinging pizzas while I was in high school (Drake High, aka Archie Williams), and they still are, which says alot about a foodie spot in Fairfax- whatever they are doing, they are doing it right! Pizza ready to order by the slice, or a fast turnaround for a custom pie. I was craving a blue cheese wedge salad, and ordered what turned out to be exactly what I was craving! The pizza arrived piping hot and perfectly cooked- the high temp required for an excellent pizza is achieved with Ghiringhelli's pizza team and those specialized pizza ovens. The variety of fresh toppings are ample, the dough crisp and crunchy on the outside, fluffy and delicious on the inside. The local restaurant staff are all cheerful and definitely keep in circulation that local Fairfax soul. If you are hankering for foods, and see the open sign, definitely stop in. read more

Stumbled in here after hiking 7+ miles nearby. We were so excited to find a pizza place with vegan options (they can add Miyoko's cheese to any of their pizzas!). Customer service was great - Clara was so welcoming and prompt with our orders. The large pizza was ready so quickly too, and was consumed by the two of us in less than 10 minutes lol :) read more

love how the pizza was served super hot and you can tell they use quality ingredients but I thought it was lacking in flavor especially for the price. Nice ambiance and staff but I wouldn't come back for the price read more

First off, I highly recommend the godfather pizza. I actually personally went to school with the owner 24 years ago. Nicest guy in town with the awesome pizza and stellar service. Highly recommend!!! read more

Proper pizza and crust with good ingredients and nice help . Is that 85 words? Ok I'm typing about nothing important

This is usually my go to pizza place. They have the best gluten free pizza crust. The food is always fresh and the staff are always super nice. read more

Everyone who I have ever taken here love their pizza and salads. It is very family friendly and the vibe is upbeat. On a side note and I realize this is not what makes a great pizza but their ranch is the best I ever had and have to dip my crust ends in it. You have the option of thin or thick crust. I always go with thin. I have never had a bad pizza and the people who work there are really nice. This is a long time local business which has also given back to the community. BTW, you can find specials Mon- Thurs on the website. We like Vinnies deal. read more

Duuude hella good spot! We got the aloha pizza it had honey on it which ive never had but dang it was so good! The staff was super chill, has inviting vibes. Recommend for sure read more

There used to be a popular Instagram, slice of SF, which followed one anonymous pizza lover's odyssey trying almost every pizzeria in the Bay Area. I don't know if it started as a search for the holy grail of pizza or was always about the journey, but this guy almost never met a pizza he (or she) didn't like. Lately, I've realized I relate to this anonymous pizza lover. I thought I was on an almost twenty year quest to find real New York pizza in a California, but now I realize that while I have yet to find the one, I've rarely if ever encountered a pizza I didn't like. And of all the Bay Area pizza I've tried, Ghiringelli's is a solid choice. Pure comfort food. We picked up one cheese pizza and one with pepperoni, black olives, and mushrooms. The sauce was mild, which was a good choice for the kids. (Red Boy was an old standby, bit the sauce is too spicy for my kids, who basically only tolerate a 0-1 out of 10 on a spiciness scale). The crust was more soft than chewy when comparing it to NY pizza. This was a plus to my Californian kid #1. And perhaps most notably, Ghoringhelli's is a local small business that offers more reasonable prices than most other options in high-rent Marin. We'll definitely be back. read more

Highly recommend the aloha! Good crust, spicy.... You have to experience the rest :) Great service even though it's a pizza joint. A/C blowing cold, tables, floor, kitchen, bathroom all seem well kept and clean ***** read more

Delicious, fast, and affordable meatball sandwich and beet salad. I've enjoyed pizzas past and would recommend Ghiringhelli's for any pizza, salad, or sandwhiches to anyone in Fairfax or the overall Ross valley. So yummy! read more

We had a wonderful meal here on the way back from exploring Point Reyes. We posted this review specifically because we wanted to shout out our waiter Diego. He was so charismatic, genuine and warm that it made dining experience a special and memorable one. We ordered a large half and half pizza, half Funghi and half garlic/bacon and it was incredible - crunchy crust, served hot fresh out the oven. We devoured it like it was our last meal. We were really pleasantly surprised by this restaurant and highly recommend it. Diego you're the man ! read more

Excellent food! Even better staff! So attentive and understanding for our daughter's 12th bday party! We went around 5:30 after a movie and likely scared patrons with how loud our party was but the staff was so incredibly kind and helpful throughout. It was just the best atmosphere and we couldn't have asked for a better venue! We had GF diets to accommodate and the staff was on top of it and the girls seemed happy with the pizza and even asked to bring the leftovers home! Thank you to the wonderful staff- we will be back! read more

Won't be back in.. 10 percent service charge on pizza to go.. automatically added.. that is ridiculous.. I will always leave a tip.. but to be charged 10 percent on 70.00 dollars because I ordered in person and did not eat there is not cool. Hi Mike- I came in and ordered 2 pizzas to go and a beer while I waited. When I paid and was handed my receipt I asked how do I tip. I was told there was a 10 percent service charge automatically added. I am always happy to tip. I was told that this is the new policy. I just feel that tipping on to go items is not cool. read more

If your family wants pizza but you don't, I suggest the spinach salad. I had it last night and it was hearty and delicious (a bit small actually but super tasty). I loved the dressing (they provided on the side) and the cheese (also provided on the side), plus abundant gold and red beets, walnuts. I was satisfied. Ok, I did have a slice or 2 of the pizza as well as I have no will power when it comes to pizza. But I def feel the salad alone could be a good meal for someone who has will power. read more

I have lived in Fairfax for 15 years and have yet to review Ghiringhelli's Pizza. It is our favorite place for takeout when we have family over for Sunday lunch. Great crust and some of the best pizza ever. We relied on them throughout the pandemic. I like the vegetarian choices the best. They also have a great salad to go with the pizza, with beets, croutons and a terrace ranch dressing. I am getting hungry writing this. read more
