The steak was excellent, great flavor, fries were very good, eggs were perfect. Little late on taking pics. Sorry. I was hungry. My fiance had the Monte Cristo, I've never tryed it until today. So good. Great flavor, the ham was good and the French toast bread. Yum! I was like why the jam? Well at the end of the sandwich i found out. We ate every bite. I also had a Pineapple drink. My daughter order the chicken masala that was perfectly seasoned and it comes with beautiful perfectly cooked zucchini half moons, and pasta with pesto which is a plus. The younger one looked at the older one who rolled her eyes, and the younger one proceeded to say, "I'll need to ask if the kitchen is already closed." There was No "hello." No "how can I help you?" No, "how many for dinner tonight?" Just super short and rude. My husband and I were confused as we thought we had over 30 minutes until they stopped seating new arrivals at 9:00. Coming from food service backgrounds, this was always the case. We even make it a point to never be those annoying couples who enter the restaurant at 2 minutes to the hour, expecting to be seated. However, this was over 30 minutes. It was 8:23, on a warm summer Saturday night. People were enjoying meals both outside and inside (though far fewer than I would have expected on a Saturday night). I wonder how many other couples and families had been turned away so the staff could clock out early and go home? I mean, I get it. I'm sure they were tired and wanted to go home and enjoy their weekend as well. But then don't elect to take the evening/dinner shift. Or have management change the timing for last seating to 8:20 instead of 9:00 pm. We were most definitely turned away, however, with no apology, no compassion that we now needed to try to find another restaurant when we had been looking forward to eating there. Thankfully, the Speakeasy down the street was open, and despite being PACKED, they welcomed us happily and we ended up tipping very well, as we always do and would have at Boca as well. Boca has definitely disappointed. We should have listened to our friends who had a similar experience a couple of weekends ago, but we thought that it must have been a fluke. Nope! We're unlikely to be back without a change in hosts/hostesses. They are the face of the restaurant. And are doing it quite the disservice. Such a shame :(

It was so bad that it spurred me to create a Yelp account to warn anyone thinking of getting pizza here. If you are going to it for the Bar Experience, then disregard this review - I'm sure the beer is beer. A few years back, when I was broke and in college I got a coupon for a Large pep pizza. Nice! I go to pick it up and... it has no olives on the pizza. So what does the guy at the counter do? He takes the pizza back, pours olives onto the damned pizza, and gives me it back. No compensation, no trying to re-bake it with the olives. So as you can expect - trying to eat a pizza with loose olives is impossible - but that is the least of my worries. When I get home to eat that abomination of a pizza, the olives had a weird white layer around their edges and it smelled awful. I said frick it and scraped the diseased olives off, and tried eating the pizza without them. The dough was stale and tasted awful. The toppings definitely could not have saved it either. Not the first time I had gotten stale dough from them, so I never went again but this has been a deeply ingrained memory in my head for years. Anyways I threw it away after a couple bites because it was unbearable. Let me say - I've had good mountain mikes before, this location is not it. Treat yourself and go to Stefanos, Red Boy, or Extreme if you're in Novato. All have much better service and infinitely better pizza.
