One employee in particular is consistently unfriendly and off-putting, which makes the whole experience less welcoming. On top of that, charging $2-$3 (changes every time which seems VERY odd) just to put a piece of tape on a box feels excessive. To add, no other Postal Annex has EVER charged me for tape which makes me wonder why just here?? I used to choose Postal Annex over FedEx, USPS, and UPS because they were genuinely helpful--now it feels like I'm just wasting my money. At this point, I'd rather drive farther or go to a main carrier. I hope they figure it out in the future and for other customers.

Canada's passport photo requirements differ from the United States' requirements. Finding a…read moreknowledgeable photography center was surprisingly difficult. We traveled to Mill Valley to the UPS store in the Blithdale shopping center. That particular UPS store uses a new stand alone computer which allows the store to select a particular country among many countries and tailors your photo to that country's specific requirements. The store's photographer, who was terrific, uses a hand held 50 mm camera and quickly snaps a photo of you against the appropriate white background. The photo is accepted and printed if it exactly meets the country's requirements. You then can bundle your required passport application with your new passport photo and ship it via UPS to your chosen country. If your chosen country happens to be Canada, we were warned to follow Canada's requirements exactly.

Happy Returns experience - do not take your Happy Returns to this store. The person that took my…read morereturn was rude. I stayed quiet. I asked for a receipt of the drop off, which annoyed him, but he gave me one nonetheless. Today, I arrived home to find the return sitting on my front porch. I called the store and they explained a mistake had been made and the item was put in the UPS bin and sent back to me. They told me I needed to get a new return code from Happy Returns and bring it back. They were unapologetic and rude (again). The honest mistake cost me 30 minutes of phone calls today between Happy Returns and Athleta. Notary, UPS shipping, US postal service (beats going to the post office), fax service, and copy machines. The wife has used the multi-color printing service to her satisfaction. Best of all, the store is immaculate and the copy machines are in top running order. Don't see that everywhere. One of the documents was from out of state and would need to be handled separately and Terrie quickly connected me with a resource and coordinated the exchange. Given the number of documents that I had to process, Terrie offered me a break on her standard per-document fee and agreed to what I felt was a very fair overall price. To anyone shipping using the UPS Store in the Cove shopping center…read more I don't appreciate being taken advantage of during the holiday shipping rush. I was just at the UPS Store in the Cove and asked to ship a box using the UPS Flat Rate Service for a box under 1,728 cu in. The UPS Simple Flat Rate for that size of a box would have been $22.30. The store manager emphatically stated that UPS does not offer a flat rate service similar to FedEx and USPS.  I was in a hurry, so I did not have time to look it up. I ended up paying $48.xx + $10 insurance. This isn't a big deal, but clearly I was given the wrong information. This is a UPS store and the staff should be familiar with UPS offerings. The store should notify customers that UPS offers a Flat Rate service, allowing them to print the label online and drop off the box at your store.
