Nikay (Nicole) is the one who cut my hair and…read moreafter a thorough talk where I showed two reference photos and explained that I wanted more shaping and layers but to maintain my overall length so to only cut off 2 - 2 1/2 inches (THIS WAS MEANT TO BE A TRIM AND SHAPING) she instead took 6 inches off of my hair. I have now lost half of my length that I spent 10 years growing out and I am beyond devastated. This same hairdresser now claims that this is in fact what I asked for and that she actually tried to tell me not to go shorter. Absolutely disgusting service. Upon calling for a refund, I was treated rudely, told that I was lucky that my reference picture was not followed and that the way my hair was cut was in fact what I asked for. I was even told that the way it was cut was a "conservative" decision. My hair should have been cut HOW I ASKED NOT WHAT YOU THOUGHT WAS IN MY "BEST INTEREST". I was offered half a refund if I took my reviews down. Alongside this, my before photos all apparently aren't accurate by their standards and the difference between before and after is in fact 2 inches..I would rather everyone know how bad of an experience I had than get my money back. I will gladly never return!

Initially I was a little confused about location as they have 2 separate spaces - one next to Great Harvest and another to the east near Palmers. Just make sure you know where you're headed beforehand. My first impressions of the salon were great. It's beautiful with modern, fresh decor and lovely lighting. No seriously. You know how sometimes either while sitting with foils in your hair or (worse) after they've rinsed your color and you're sitting in the chair, water-logged and pale you realized you look something like a drowned sewer rat? That was not the case at Voltage. I was so pleasantly surprised. Alexis did a great job with my hair, as always. She's a master with color; she'll take your ideas and bring them to life. She's constantly honing her craft to be better and current. I love my cut and color. I will say that they're not cheap (certainly not the most expensive either) but...you get what you pay for. Thanks Alexis and Voltage!
