The food offerings were good. It would be nice to see some more vegan options. The staff were readily available for questions about ingredients and food allergies. All that is needed to sit and enjoy the food is available in the store. The area is clean and inviting.

Frustrating that so many things I usually or used to buy here never seem to be in stock at this location. Special K breakfast drinks? Nope. The Rick Bayless Milk & Honey granola? Not lately. My parents don't have a problem finding them at the Aurora location. What's up?

I had one of the most upsetting and disrespectful experiences at this location on Thursday, July 17th around 7:51 PM. I came in on my work break to pick up just two items: a plant-based Italian beef and an avocado that was clearly placed in the section marked "4 for $5." However, it rang up as $2.99. What followed was nearly 20 minutes of frustration and poor treatment. A young cashier delayed helping me, questioned me about the price in a condescending tone, and then called a manager who treated me even worse. Not only did the manager refuse to honor the price I saw posted, but he also accused me of switching the avocado sticker--a claim that was extremely offensive and baseless. I offered for them to review the security footage, and they refused. I felt racially profiled and disrespected over a simple produce item. As a Black woman, I can't ignore how I was treated in comparison to how I've seen other customers treated here. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, and I will not be returning to this store. I hope management will address how they treat customers with more respect and dignity going forward.

They also stock many other "super" foods like Almond Mlke and Cookie Butter - a delicious spread that's a hybrid of pure butter fat and cookie dough. Pretty much all of the staffers I've run into here seem to be convinced that they're helping to save the Planet from the Evil Empire - no one seems to even suspect that they actually work for a national grocery corporation which is driven by shareholder satisfaction and maximizing profiles. That's all fine with me - I have no intention of letting the cat out of the bag and telling any of them that Santa Clause doesn't exist, or that the work they do is any less important than that done by the American Red Cross... This is a fun place to shop, with lots of great products at good prices. May all the hipsters in TJ's employ keep fighting the Good Fight, and manning the Winter Wall against the Night King and his White Walkers ;-)

There's a halal butcher and just a plain butcher, about which as a vegetarian I can tell you nothing, a bakery, and a Latin American and Indian mini-cafe. The produce section is very crowded (and offers a wild variety with some excellent specials), and the endcaps on the aisles extend into the aisle, meaning in several places there's only room for one cart and you'll have to excuse yourself to get where you're going. Be prepared. I was impressed by their selection of organic spices and they also had some organic Asian noodles (buckwheat and soba). They also have a good selection of Latin American groceries, including huancaina sauce from Peru (yes!), frozen plantains and Guarana soda. I've seen larger selections of Indian and Eastern European products at dedicated specialty groceries, but no one else in the area carries it all. Many, many different types of flatbread and a wide selection of Middle Eastern sweets; various dry pulses; various types of candy; pearled farro and more versions of burek than I've seen before, including a "vegan be'f". The Indian mini-cafe is half vegetarian, half non; the Latin American one has various kinds of filling in carbs, and if you're vegetarian, all they have is cheese - though the fried corn-dough empanada, cheese in an eggroll like wrapper and pastelito (cheese in pastry) offered various textural delights. This is a haul for me, and I usually try to avoid I-59 but this place might be worth a special trip.
