Went in today (05/10/26), asked for a gel pedicure, two acrylic toes, French design. I did not want a foot scrub, or massage. Just the bottom of my feet scrubbed and toenails taken care of. I check out, it's 95$ . 95$ for a half ass gel pedicure. The toes turned out okay, no complaints but not the best I've ever had. The price utterly caught me off guard because I usually pay 53$ for the same service at my regular salon. I will absolutely not be returning. Also to mention, this is nowhere close to being considered a luxury salon, more like a hole in the wall place. read more

I've been coming here for gel manicures, but I have mixed feelings. The listed price is around $35 (which recently increased slightly), but the final cost is always higher. Extras like chrome cost an additional $15-$20, and French manicures are also overpriced. I haven't tried a design, but I imagine it's similarly expensive. And Maria will never tell you the price is going to change, or what the final price will be. During my last visit, I needed a quick fix for a split nail. I didn't expect that adding acrylic to two nails and an acrylic tip to one would bring my total from $35 to nearly $70. Worse, the tech was so aggressive while filing that she broke a nail I had been growing for months, which then needed acrylic powder to repair. I was hesitant to write this review, but after my last visit, I won't be returning. I've since found a salon in Collingswood that provides the same services for half the price. It's disappointing because most of the staff are kind and do great work, but with today's economy, I can't justify these unexplained costs. read more

This place overcharged me and four of my nails chipped/broke within a week! The sign indicated $45 for gel manicure. The woman decided to put some clear coat under the polish and did not tell me she was going to charge more. I was charged $65 plus $5 for using a credit card! $70 tota! Within 24 hours two nails chipped/broke. In called same day to inform, and within 48 hours I went back and expressed my concern. I asked for a partial refund or for them to redo the nails. They refused and only wanted to repaint the two that chipped/broke. I AGAIN expressed my concern about the overall job and cost. Within 72 hours two more nails chipped/broke. I called two days in a row to ask for a partial refund so l could go to a nail place where ! have had excellent experiences for the last eight years! They refuse. I lost $70 and had to get my nails completely redone, one week to the day of going here for their lousy service. I DO NOT RECOMMEND!!! read more

Still sitting here as I write this review. I been here multiple times and my experience has been mediocre. I keep giving this place the benefit of the doubt. AMy appointment was at 4:30 and was not seated until 5:30pm. While I'm getting my manicure/extensions done, they ask me to get up to get my pedicure. I'm thinking that I'm being treated by the same lady that is doing my hands, well they put my feet in water and the lady that was doing my hands, takes someone else. The person who did my pedicure did a terrible job! Did not clean them well and even when I tell her something her response is "yea yea clean" and continues on, like she's some sort of robot or machine that is timed and can't go back to fix the error. I haven't done my pedicure in 1.5 months and she was done in 15mins, never seen anything like this before. I am completely disappointed and dissatisfied with my pedicure and the lady's attention to my remarks. Now a different person is finishing my nails. This person was going to just paint my nails not realizing that the other lady just put the acrylic on and didn't pass the machine over it. Moments after, the First Lady that started working on my nails just painted it. All I can say is that my nails look like pizza slices! HORRIBLE. I have been going to nail salons across America since I was 17 and now I'm 40 and this salon is in the top 5! No joke, rally good, sweet, kind, relaxing and they do an awesome job! Maria's salon was great! Everyone was extremely friendly and the pedicure itself was VERY WELL executed. The massages were great and attentive and they even give you a shoulder massage at the end. They did up-sell quite a bit without making sure that people understood the price difference, however in their difference, the people should have asked if they were concerned. I had a gel pedicure with a design on my big toe and paid $100. There was a male next to me who had the Hawaiian organic pedicure with no polish and he paid $70. I had Maria do my nails, she is obviously the owner of the salon. She worked very quickly and was precise and cared about the look of the nails and making sure they were to the right standard. They looked beautiful after they were done, exactly like the inspo picture I had shown. I had some other girl do my pedicure, and it looked like it was done half-assed. I could tell she was newer and didn't really know what she was doing. I understand everyone has to start somewhere but she left my toes looking messy and uneven. It was close to closing time, so I understand she may have just been trying to get out quickly but I was not happy with how she just up and left before my nails were done drying and before putting the cuticle oil on after. I talked to the owner and asked if she could touch them up and she made them look much better, leaving me feel much more satisfied. Overall very happy with the experience and how Maria responded when I was unsatisfied!! I always come here. A bit expensive but the detail and care that goes into the work is great. Maria actually knows your name and speaks to each person. She takes her time and when she sets an appointment she sticks to it. She's been doing this for years so when she notices small things about my nails after having gone somewhere else, it's always noteworthy. The shop is great and clean. I had my eyebrows waxed here once before and was super unhappy as it was uneven. I tried again this time and my waxer listened and spoke to me about how it would look because I have eyebrows that each grow how they want and are shaped differently. Let me tell you it was an hour and a half of sheer heaven. The soaking,the massaging,the lotion,the oils, and the skill and time that was put into our service. You have got to go there. With it being my first time I wasn't sure of the quality of service so I opted for a basic pedicure. I normally get gel but it was an additional 30 to any service. I replaced my manicure with gel for my pedicure to make it last a bit longer plus it's cold out and need to put boots back on. I've come here a couple times now. The shop is very clean. --One of the reasons I was looking for a new place. I've been able to walk in and pick a color and they are ready for me -don't get me wrong -it's busy ! Compared to other shops the technician takes time to file the tips of my nails- something I have to do when I get home from all the other shops I have been to. It's little more costly but I don't have to go as often because my color stays on well! The technician snipped my cuticle too close but was quick to put sanitizer on it and even sprayed both hands with cleaner to make sure I healed quickly and cleanly. Very welcoming, and friendly they sat us right down and got to work on our spa pedicures. They did a couple of things I have not had at other places, all super enjoyable. I've only been here 2x, but it's quickly becoming one of my favorite nail salons. When I lived in Central Jersey it was hard to find a nail salon that was opened on Sundays. My first visit was on a Sunday, and I decided to visit again, today, on a Sunday - Just about as soon as they opened. They're always so friendly! I picked my color and was seated right away. It's really cute in here and I think they have quite a selection of colors, gels, etc. Haven't quite figured out who is my favorite tech, but I've seen lots of reviews mentioning Lily. Maria did my nails today & I got a uv gel overlay. The atmosphere in this salon is very comfortable, family friendly! Maria takes pride in knowing the names of all clients who visit the salon whether they use her or another tech! They take their time with each client! Maria asked me on several occasions if I was ok, if I liked my nails, etc. She is very particular with cleaning up any polish out of place, & she's big on detail. This salon uses quality products & they are up to date on different shape choices, designs.. etc. I would say this is an Americanized salon. Maria treats her staff well & the customer service is amazing! Prices are above average but you get what you pay for.. quality services & a spa appeal. I will definitely be returning in 2-3 weeks for a refill & pedicure. I will update with details on the pedi! This salon gives cards & for every visit they mark a box. I thought I would have a good experience at Maria's due to all of the positive reviews here on Yelp. I went on a Friday afternoon without an appointment to get a full for my acrylic nails. I was told to come by at 3:30 which was only 45 minutes away. I came back and was sat almost immediately. During my appointment, I noticed the gel polish I pick was making a strange pattern on my nails. I asked about it and was told it would go away after top coat. It did not. On four nails I have a strange swirl in the middle of the nail. To make things worse, in less than 24 hours, one of my nails broke. Today, Sunday, I returned to the salon to have it fixed. I was told that they couldn't fix it because they were too busy and no one could stop. This is ridiculous. It's one nail and the break was caused by poor work. The woman I believe is the owner asked if I could return on Monday for my nail to be repaired. I've never had an experience where a nail salon said they were too busy to fix a repair caused by poor work. Needless to say - I'll be finding somewhere else to get my nails done. read more

Today I stopped into Maria's Nail Salon with a few friends to get pedicures before we head to Jamaica. We made a reservation and were seated as soon as we arrived. I'm familiar with getting pedicures and have had some bad experiences with inexperienced places in the past. However, Maria's Nail Salon is by far the best experience (hence the review). Trin and Chan worked with us and were a lot of fun to talk to and engaged throughout our booking. The others that were working seemed to have similar interactions with their customers as well. I called Maria's at 4 pm Sunday afternoon to see if they could fit me in for a mani/pedi before they closed at 5:30. They told me to come right over & started my manicure as soon as I arrived around 4:15. I was out the door by 5:30, although there were still a couple customers wrapping up so I was in no way rushed out the door. Overall, I was extremely pleased with my visit. I have been coming here for the past 2 months and the service has been really great. This is definitely the best nail salon in the area. They have done a great job every time I have been here and after your service they provide a light massage which is nice. Also I really like that they provide a back pillow while sitting in the manicure desks, because I usually slouch so it is way more comfortable! Prices are pretty normal although the acrylic fills are about 5 dollars more than most places. The salon is very clean and nicely decorated. The polish selection is good, not amazing, and pedicures are very thorough. Also the staff is very nice and professional. Sue is a little rough with the dremel, and I have a pretty high pain tolerance. And also the salon is quite small so calling ahead during busy hours is necessary. Lastly you can place tip on card so that is nice :) Also just got a spa pedi which is hands down the most expensive pedicure I have ever had. They suggested it to me and I figured it would be 15 dollars more...no it is 65 dollars. Tht was definitely a big mistake! So be warned if they offer a spa pedi. read more

I have to say, I came here then shopped around a bit because at first I had a horrible experience! While getting my eyebrows waxed a whole blob of wax was dropped in my hair and the girl had to cut it out! Apparently there is a policy That is NOT posted in the salon anywhere and was NOT told to me. I noticed my bill was quite high shortly after we left so I called the owner The following morning. I asked Maria, questioned her about the total of my bill, which sounded very high. She had MANY made up explanations but the very 1st one was absolutely ridiculous!! I have been getting my nails done for decades and never heard of this! She told me that her policy is that you have to have your nails refilled every 2 weeks and if you come later than that, there is a late fee penalty repair charge!? Even after I explained to her that I had major Trauma surgery and could not get in at exactly 2 weeks. Due to Recovery time plus my nails do not even NEED to be done that frequently. They last me 3-4 weeks (they did anyhow prior to going to Maria's!) She got very defensive after her initial tone in her voice was "nervous" Maria still would not budge & again this is NOT listed/posted anywhere! So unless you can get there every 2 weeks be ready for a commitment OR be charged a "late FEE" Also, beware I had 1 nail that fell off that needed to read be repaired. Maria proceeded to tell me that they repaired 3 nails which was $18 for that part of the bill! Not the case, I promise it was only 1 nail! 1. My husband can attest to that as well as he took me there and he saw I only had 1 broken nail. I even heard the woman, whom must have been standing right next to Maria by the phone at the Salon when I called. YUNA at Maria's salon did my nails, repeated, as I heard her in the background, that she charged me $18 I was quite angry about, who wouldn't be this was not the truth and horrible customer service. Legit lied, both Maria & YUNA. Maria would not budge. Nothing to even try to remedy the situation, make things right with me. I thought maybe if not any sort of refund, idk, anything... A free design next visit or a discount? I'm pretty fair & an apology & an offer of at least something would have sufficed. Also I was told that I was charged for extra UV gel layers for my nail color and my topcoat, I did NOT Request That service to be done! Yuna, the woman that did my nails took it upon herself to do this, then charge me for something I did not ask for!!! Isn't that a tad sneaky & a way to add on charges? SO all in all, Marias Salon is very deceitful. This was very disappointing because Maria seems so very sweet... As the Owner, When an Employee does A wrong isn't it up to the "Owner" to make things right?? I was actually shocked that she would not do absolutely anything at all to remedy any of those unfair services & made up services! Maria lost what would have been a "repeat" customer, I am a loyal customer! I am Spreading the word to everyone I know because I do Not want this to happen to someone else! I will repeatedly mention it ALL over social media because that was NOT A fair to do & was also very dishonest & pretty much stealing in a sense! I have been meaning to actually report this to the BBB & I still plan on it! To do that to a paying customer is just sickening. Why did she not tell me this so called "Policy" When I was there the first time I had my nails done and I even explained and told Maria that I would not be able to return until about three or four weeks due to recovering from my surgery, she smiled at me and that was it. She did not mention a word of such a policy, wouldn't you think she would've said that and informed me of it if or even true? Now I asked a few friends I know of that go there if they ever heard of this policy and no they told me, they had not. I believe she made it up with her other slew of excuses, just as a reason to try to justify WHY my bill was so outrageously high! I mean over $50 for a refill OK A simple refill with 1 repair is not the typical charge at a nail salon, now maybe on rodeo drive in Beverly Hills or I don't know a Spa in Hawaii? Lol In Burlington New Jersey? NO absolutely not!! I know it's not because I have been to other Nail salons in the surrounding area. I would NOT recommend this salon absolutely not, unless you want to be cheated out of your money!with made up policies, charges for things that they did not do. Then charges for things that they did do but you did not ASK!!! Absolutely disgraceful. Don't fall for Marias "sweet" act. Don't waste your hard earned money on a crappy job either. Both times I went I had Nails's either completely fall off or come loose in less then 1 weeks time! Now wouldn't that be their fault? And then they charged me for it. Customers go to the register, they get told the amount, they pay & leave, how sad people trust Maria because like I said she seems sweet and honest. she is not and neither are her employees. I've never had anyone take such care in doing my nails. Kimmie didn't rush through my nails, but took her time, making sure I was happy along the way. I cut my nails very short and she did an excellent job. I got an acrylic refill and gel polish. They look natural and I will definitely be back! Highly recommend this place!
