I recently also went to Maria Jaggard Salon and ordered a hair system. There were several things wrong, right from the start.
- first, she does not have any samples to show her potential clients, and when she is asked, she comes up with a story that she is so popular that the other clients just come a pick them up right away, so you have no sample of the type or quality or hair type or texture you are ordering.
- next, there are no color samples, no color wheels, no hair samples, nothing, so you don't even know what color you are ordering
-next she has you fill out the contract, top have only, and she fills out the bottom, including the color, which by the way, you really don't know what it is because it is in code like ie 10R, so what is this?
- So you give her the $1,000 dollar deposit and she promises it will be there by a certain date. I ordered in August and wanted it for christmas, which she promised it would be. She never put a rush on it and never specified a needed by date, But she did make sure to slip in another order for 2 systems, which I caught when I got home and told her NO!, I only want one, and only requested one, even though she tried to talk me into getting 2, a sales pitch.
--regrets, if I had gone to the Hair Club, they would have upheld their delivery date, and stood behind their product as their guarantee, but this Salon does not. And the price is almost the same
--So that being said, the piece was ordered and I thought it would be a match
When the piece did come, I went to her house/salon for a fitting/styling. She ushered me to the basement --her salon It was dimly lit because it is below ground level. She had me sit in a hairdresser's chair at a desk facing a wall with no mirror. I thought this to be strange, as I have never gone to a hairdresser before without facing a mirror to see what was being done. strange. She placed a hairdresser's plastic apron on me and then put her chihuahua on my lap. She said it helps with anxiety. Whose anxiety --mine or hers? She went to the back room and came out with a plastic bag with a hairpiece in it, stood at arm's length away and said this is your system. I said it is the wrong Color. This is dark Brown, I asked for streaked Dark Blond. She replied on don't worry it will lighten. I said it will ot match my hair. oh she said it will match you will see. She took the piece to the back and wet it and I heard the blow drier, then she said she had to wash my hair. And ushered me to the sink. I thought it was just a wash. I didn't see. Then she placed the piece on my head and I rushed off to my grandson's graduations. Wen I got home and finally looked in the mirror, I was shocked, my hair was dark brown, and when the piece was taken off, I saw that my hair underneath had been colored dark brown too-surprise. In spite of my saying that the doctor had advised me not to use chemicals, she went ahead and used coloring on my head to match this hairpiece. One week, later and my own hair is more brittle, the scalp is red and itchy, My own hair is breaking off and the alopecia is worse than ever. I am afraid I will lose even more hair. I did say I cannot have chemicals but she went ahead and did what she wanted to. Why? to sell the hairpiece which was the wrong color, and so she colored my hair, to cover up a mistake, made by someone. Maybe the manufacturer, maybe her. But this is not customer servie, this is deception for the purpose of making money. And no mirrors, Well, that adds to the deception, no consent, so the unknowing customer is at her mercy for her to do as she pleases. I have tried again and again to reach out to Maria, with telephone calls and e-mails. She choses not to return e-mails or telephones. I think the message is "Can't be bothered to waste my time on you" So how is this customer service. Instead she passes this over to someone whom I have never been introduced to, never met, and he says he is her husband, ad he knows everything. He speaks for her. All I know is that there was a man in the garage working on a vehicle when I had my hair done, so I guess this man might be "The all knowing Brian" but the Maria who is the merchant does not want to communicate with her clients and they have a problem, then this man responds and says......Well just warm up to it. yep like tough luck lady, ----- This surprises me. I would expect an adult who runs a reputable business to behave in a responsible -professional manner.
An adult is accountable for one's own behavior and I would expect that a professional business woman is able to put on her big girl panties and effectively communicate to her customers, especially with problem solving issues, instead of hiding.
Well, Visa has refunded me $1,300 of the total payment of $2,300, because after reviewing the photos, the doctor's notes, and investigating the lack of cooperation from Maria, it was seen that this company did not comply read more
