She was very educated and knowledgeable in the dresses they carry. You can point at any dress and with a glance she can tell you the cost of it. I was very impressed. She was very patient with me throughout my whole experience. She MADE the overall experience amazing. What I liked most was not feeling pressured into purchasing any dresses right away or even purchasing a dress at that store. She was simply there to help me find the dress I wanted. The store itself had a good range of dresses to choose from. It was great customer service and I 100% would recommend all my girlfriends to go check out the store and ask for Lucy :)

I've bought my dress! I thought I would wait until the end…read moreof the dress process to update my review, but doubt much will change. During my 6 months searching for a dress, I came back here quite a few times and always worked with Mackenzie. I came back for a total of 5 times for different reasons, trying on 1 single dress to see how I feel, and full blown dress picking appointment. Mackenzie was always patient and we got along well. It gets really busy here on the weekends, and it really affects your experience here. I came by once to try a specific dress, which I told them and called ahead of time. Not only was M. not there (on her lunch), but someone was supposed to sub for her. We waited 15 mins for someone, and finally they let me in, but they could not find the dress I specified. They even brought me a different one than I had called in for (the file had the name, and it was correct). I wasn't pleased. The day I finally came to buy the dress, with my mom, 2 friends and the MiL, they got me in the dress, then left me for at least 10+mins. There were so many awkward situations where I don't know where M. had disappeared to and why things were taking so long. I also got some ideas for Veils from the guy that makes it. I found his attitude a little abrasive, and rude. It's not my fault I don't know how to look at the veil and adjust the mirrors! They make Veils in house and they range from $100-400. The entire appointment that day took about 1.5 hours, but a lot of it was standing around. I decided to buy the dress here, because they were one of few in Toronto that carried it, plus it was in a convenient location, and I've bothered them so much already. I get 10% off for taking the dress offsite to alter, and I decided to do this - they will back up the alterations in case anything will go wrong, also since they are so busy, I don't want to have to have a bad experience. I can't imagine anything else will happen from now until I pick up the dress. So there it is! --- Edit: so when I went to pick up my dress, I had to actually make an appointment, which was a little strange to me, given that I paid for it already, and physically just picking it up. I was told this was necessary so that someone can greet me and have the dress ready. When I got there on what seemed to be a quiet Friday afternoon, there was no one to greet me. Finally someone came and saw me, and went to the back to get my dress. She disappears for about 5 mins, and another women back from break walks in an sees me standing there. Checks me in, a 2nd time, and goes to the back to look for my dress. This boggles my mind because I was so sternly told that I needed to make an appointment, and yet, neither a person nor my dress was ready. Finally she came, and I picked up my dress. Just a word of warning I guess.

Our consultant, Linda, paid really great attention to us and helped us find some amazing stuff. Found an amazing dress, but this is when we ran into a 'hiccup'. I had another appointment to go to that day, but Beckers wouldn't let us take a picture of the dress that I loved, and THE TAG HAD ALSO BEEN REMOVED so I couldn't see the designer name. I know that this is to ensure that I don't look for it cheaper somewhere else, but this is horrible customer service practice. Miraculously, I was still able to find the dress at the next appointment and compare it when I found another one I loved just as much, and ended up buying my dress at the other shop. If they had let me take a picture of it and I had decided that I liked the dress I first tried on at Beckers best, I would have gone back to purchase it but because they were unhelpful regarding this important aspect, I wouldn't have.

I bought my wedding dress here and couldn't be happier with the dress and the whole experience…read more This store has a lovely selection of vintage dresses from several decades. There are lots with classic shapes and beautiful fabrics and lace. There is much more variety here in styles compared to most other bridal stores. I was looking for a non-strapless dress, A-line shaped, no revealing cut-outs, and some incorporation of a nice lace pattern. This store had several dresses that could have worked, whereas several other top bridal stores in the city had one or none. You are also encouraged here to try on as many dresses as you like and Cher helps you envision the changes that could be made (such as removing extreme ruffles). After I had chosen my dress, I went to a few fittings where Cher made modifications to make the dress fit me perfectly. She created the cap sleeves I wanted, removed a large front ruffle, and kept all the beautiful lace. After the final fitting, the dress was brightened up to white and was perfect. I received many compliments on my dress from wedding guests. Our photographer especially loved the way it moved in the wind. Overall: Beautiful dress. Great experience with Cher. Highly recommend!

Although I did not buy my wedding dress from Bridal on Spadina, Nicole really made the experience…read morevery enjoyable. Location is quite small on an upper level of a store on Spadina.. at first was a little hard to find, but as long as you follow the signs it was easy to tell where it is. Nicole does have a good range in styles and she is definitely great at imagining and listening to what you actually want to wear on your wedding day. I've tried on this one dress probably 6 times just to see how it looks on me and whether it was the one (unfortunately it was not). Nicole also was super bubbly and great to talk to. She connected well with my mom and I as we were at her place and was super great with letting me try on other items like viels and tiaras as well! Sad I couldn't find my dress from her but she is definitely fun to shop with when you're looking for your bridal outfit!

When trying to locate this bridal salon, be on the look out for the building number 101 on Spadina…read moreas there are no signs. To find the actual store sign, you would have to look on the side of the building from Adelaide. This is a store where I would say "Don't judge a book by its cover". Based on how the office building looked inside and how it was hard for me to locate the store sign, I immediately had some doubts about this store and started making assumptions on how my appointment would go. When I walked into the salon and was greeted by Nicole and her mom, Sharon, I still had my doubts but after 10 minutes speaking with Nicole, they went away. Nicole is a very energetic and sociable person. Depending on the personality of the bride/bridal party that visits, I'm sure some people will find her to be too strong but keep in mind, she's just very very energetic/happy and genuinely wants to help the bride (whether or not she buys from them). Although the store is small, they have great selection and if you're on a tight budget, this is DEFINITELY the place to go. I know some people who are on a fixed budget would immediately go to David's Bridal because they have cheaper prices BUT you do get what you pay for. I myself had visited David's Bridal in Mississauga on a Saturday and my experience was horrendous. I would literally compare it to a fast food restaurant but for bridal dresses. At Bridals on Spadina, you have affordable prices but there is QUALITY to it and you can tell. This is definitely a hidden gem and for any bride who is looking for a deal, take a look and see for yourself. My bridal party and I had a fantastic time at my appointment. Unfortunately I did not purchase my dress here but because of the experience I had, I wanted to make sure I leave a positive review so other brides are aware.

Rather than simply refunding the deposit, we had to go through a frustrating amount of back and forth just to get the money returned. Even then, they kept a sizeable amount saying it was the "restocking fee"--there was nothing to restock; no dress was ever ordered. They then explained it by saying it covered their time, the additional appointment, communication and administrative work-all of which would not have happened if they had simply returned the deposit. We have since asked like stores if they would have given back the deposit and they said of course as the dress was never ordered. Overall, what should have been a straight-forward cancellation turned into a very frustrating experience. I would not recommend them.
