My straps were too big on me and very loose on my back. Judy stitched it well and told me she left the extra fabric in case I ever needed to loosen it again. Judy's store is small and packed. However, there are many clothing items ready to pick up or be worked on. You can see she's been doing this business for a long time. Friendly, assertive, and to the point. Now I have a go-to spot for alterations! Parking is available along the side street, and pay the meters. I paid in cash, and I didn't check to see if all forms of payment can be used.

They also stapled tags to my clothing, which is not a good way to treat delicate fabrics. My new tailor for the rest of my life! I brought a bathing…read moresuit in that was too big for me for alterations on a Monday & received a text on Wednesday that it was completed. It was difficult enough trying to find a tailor that does swimsuits due to a special sewing machine that is needed but I found Dejavu Tailoring right away online & booked an appointment easily on the website. The pricing is reasonable & the work was beautifully done. I needed this bathing suit for my upcoming trip to Italy & was relieved it was done so fast. Kai is friendly, professional & very skilled. I'm happy to have found him. Most people don't know how hard it is to find a good tailor. I'm going with Kai @ Dejavu Tailoring from now on.

This was off just having a terrible experience with some shirts getting butchered by the local dry cleaner, so I wanted a more professional take. I walked in completely clueless on a whim, tactlessly not making an appointment, and even though it was Juan's lunchbreak he still immediately took the time to see me and work with me. That said... let the man eat. Don't interrupt his break! I still feel bad about it!!! About the tailoring: Juan is just That Dude. He WILL make you look better and point out ways to make the clothes better compliment your body that others don't even know about. The pricing felt extremely fair and not at all like I was being overcharged for the amount and quality of work being done. Not only that, Juan did me a solid by getting the alterations done in-time with a big move out of state. Last minute, off of a random walk-in, and brother still treated me like I was a long time regular. And matter of fact, even though I'm going to be living down south I WILL still be getting my nicest clothing tailored by Juan. That's what his work is worth to me. 10/10 will be making sure I get my nephews' first suits tailored by him too

Thank goodness for Layla at Ibrahim's! Ibrahim's is a teeny shop that's easy to miss. Inside, there's a faint smell of smoke and a LOT of clothes hanging more or less everywhere. Jesus and other saints peek out from any spots that aren't draped in clothes. I won't lie - walking in can be a little unsettling... but Layla is a superstar. She's warm and friendly, but quick to get you taken care of. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon needing alterations on 3 pairs of pants (both hems and taking in of waistbands) and a full suit (LOTS of taking in all over, plus a hem). She asked when I wanted them. I said Monday evening, and she never flinched. Excellent work, fast and friendly service, and reasonable prices... Layla is my go-to. One star off for the ciggy smell in the shop... but since my stuff was there a short time, it didn't stick. :o)
