great service! they were helpful and communicated really well. The online system made tracking easy!read more

1 star This was my…read morefirst time using Englewood Green Cleaners, and the customer service left a bad impression. On the 22nd I got a receipt showing an invoice number, the amount, and "paid." When I picked up my items, I paid with my card and got a second receipt for the same amount, this time with a reference number instead of an invoice number. Two receipts for the same amount, both showing payment, looked to me like I'd been charged twice. So about half an hour after leaving the store, I called to ask. The cashier, David, couldn't explain how their receipts work. Instead, he suggested I shouldn't be calling him at all and should have checked my bank account first, as if asking the business about its own receipts was out of line. He checked with what I assume is their main office, but his answers stayed unclear and left me more confused. Eventually he called back to say this is standard and I was only charged once. I'm glad I wasn't double charged. But there was no apology for the confusion and no acknowledgment that two "paid" receipts would confuse anyone. When I told him I wasn't happy with how he'd handled it, his response was that he hadn't cursed at me, so what was my problem? That says it all. Not cursing at a customer is not the standard for good service. A simple "sorry for the confusion, here's how our receipts work" would have been enough. As a first-time customer I didn't feel valued, and I won't be back.

Fort Lee Alterations - Very unprofessional sewing , probably can do better than that .

I don't know what's going on with Mr. Sung or it's just men's suit not hie expertise? My husband…read morebrought his suit last week for Mr. Sung to shorten the sleeves, and the suit came back looks like nothing has been altered, when my husband saw the sewing of the lining, he was really upset, the sewing work was extremely bad, the sewing line was all exposed and not even, it looks like done by unprofessions , I could probably done better than that.... I can't figure out why he did such beautiful work on my wedding dress before but such a poor work on a suit, which doesn't make sense to me. I would not recommend you to take your suit here to be altered though.

He charged half of what I'd expected from a Manhattan tailor, but more important, my dress fit like a glove! After shopping around dry cleaners with signs saying that they do alterations, I was surprised to see how some seamstresses were scared to touch my wedding dress, even though it is not laced or beaded. I believe that their bread and butter is shortening pants and minor alterations, so I was so relieved to find Mr. Sung, who is a trained tailor who makes suits AND dresses. It is hard to find someone who can tailor both men and women's clothing. Very fast, professional, reasonable, and honest. Plus, he was wearing True Religions, which I gather he altered himself lol

Kangs Tailoring - Kang kept arguing that her hem stitching blended with the rest of the stitching.

I was afraid to get it done at my area alteration shops because their works not great. Kang's tailored granny did great job for my coat's sleeve. Kang ruined 3 of my favorite jeans, so I had to donate them. When I asked for a refund, she said…read more"sue me" (it was cash only). I had to get all my jeans hemmed (very simple) quickly, so I made the mistake of blindly trusting Google Maps reviews and entrusting Kang with my jeans. The first interaction was great, and I thought my clothes were in good hands. When I came back and saw my clothes, I nearly cried (they were expensive jeans). The first time, I tried on each pair of jeans and told her exactly how I wanted them (one with a half break and showing a little ankle, another with less break and covering less ankle, and the other with no break and just above the ankle. All three came back several inches above my ankle. She made them all into clown pants. The stitching looks like it was done by a child, on all 3 pairs. They may have been done reversed, because the inside looks a LOT better than the outside. The color is just ridiculous, compared to the rest of the jeans. I look an idiot wearing these jeans. When I told her about my disappointment, she kept saying, "oh well, there's nothing I can do now." I'd lost several hundreds of dollars on these unwearable jeans, so I asked if I could just have the $36 back. Kang immediately got up in arms, saying things like, "Who in the world gives their money back? Go ask anyone on the street if they've ever seen that before," "Some people wear jeans like this nowadays," "Never in 30 years have I ever encountered something like this," and "If you want your money back you can sue me. Go to the city and sue me." Save your clothes and your money. Do not go to Kang's.
