It's definitely on the dive bar section of the scale, but I like that just fine. At noon on a Saturday, there were plenty of places to sit, and the server let us linger to talk. I had a fried chicken sandwich, and it was giving Wendy's chicken sandwich vibes, in a good way, nothing fancy, very satisfying. We also tried the broccoli cheese bites app, and while they weren't super flavorful, they came out hot and were a really fun option. My friend had some grilled shrimp that we also shared, and they were tasty, with some garlic butter. The menu had a lot to chose from, and they had a fun looking cocktail menu as well, though we did not indulge. I'm sure it gets busy in here at dinner time!

REJOICE... for now you've got one more good reason to visit your service person's grave, or niche. Even if you're just looking for somewhere with a comfortable ambience to escape to from the city, this is the place to go... in Rittman... for real. Ample indoor seating, fast, friendly... dare I say perky... service, a great bar, plenty of brew taps, and a well appointed patio -- even in the depths of Winter -- await you for both your pre, or post-memorial visit. Or for whatever reason you may drop in. And they cater... can anyone say: The Best Wake, or The Best Memorial Day Feast... EVER? The appetizers here are all house made... no frozen stuff. The beer battered onion rings were so good, we didn't even get a picture. Maybe next time. Mom had the classic Reuben with a well-executed potato salad... a side that wasn't just an afterthought, but was full of flavor on its own. I had The Original PigMac which was old-fashioned Mac & Cheese topped with slow-cooked pulled pork, and house made BBQ sauce. Yum! It appears there are more sauces they make here... all the way up to the 4X heat level. Maybe another day for this as well. I also had the Great Lakes Christmas Ale sans Cinnamon & Sugar Rim... because I was saving those sweet treats for the pretzel bites & the house made pumpkin pie. So many good tastes met in the amber light of this always festive brew. All-in-all this was a great dining experience that was a good reason to make coming back to the Rittman area a priority. I hope you come to celebrate the service of your loved ones too, and I hope you stop by BG's Main Event, too! I know you'll be glad when you do.

I stopped in with some colleagues for lunch, not really sure what to expect, and whatever expectations I had were easily surpassed. It's a tiny little shop, and when we went there was just one person working, so a busy guy for sure, but there was not much of a line when we went. We parked and waited as he helped someone at the drive through, and then he came over and took our orders. Both colleagues got the Brisket Mac and Cheese bowls and I got a two meat platter. The two meat platter comes with your choice of pulled pork, brisket, smoked sausage, smoked chicken, and my understanding is on Friday through Sunday you can get three ribs. I opted for the pulled pork and brisket. It also comes with a beverage, two sides and a piece of cornbread. So after paying it took maybe 4-5 minutes for our food to come out and we chose to eat at a picnic table there. I was impressed by the heft of the bag, but honestly didn't fully appreciate the portion sizes until we were seated. Where to begin? I guess I'll start with the star of the show, the brisket. I only got one piece of brisket, but man was it a giant chunk of meat. Fatty on top, nice black bark on it, and as tender as can be. I did use a knife on it, but it took no effort, that's just because I wanted bite sized pieces rather than how it naturally shredded with my fork. Absolutely delicious, smoky but not overpowering, salty in the best way possible, and just so much juicy goodness. The pork was nicely shredded with bits of its bark still interspersed throughout, and my what a pile of porky goodness. Even the sides were massive! I am a big guy, I eat a lot, I didn't even come close to finishing my meal. The Mac and cheese was also delicious, soft, but baked so there were crispy bits, cheesy, ooey gooey perfection. The beans were fine, nothing wrong with them either, and the cornbread was soft and sweet too, just what you want to offset all the richness from the meats. I ordered both their housemade bbq sauces too, and they were very good, but I really didn't need them, everything was great on its own. Boy do I wish I found this place sooner. Wow, what a meal!
