Margaritas Dip

Love the food and the service .. super friendly.. always a drink special for happy hour .. great little place to stop in and have some tacos and a margarita

Chicken chimi

I'm so happy this is right in my town! I was wanting Mexican for quite sometime now and my husband said we needed to eat here. It did not disappoint at all. I ordered the chicken chimichanga and that was packed all around. My husband ordered the molcajete and of course I had to try myself. The best part for me was how flavorful the shrimp was.

I had a craving for authentic tacos and this hit the spot! I had the Pollo tacos. I went in during lunch and was seated immediately. Service was great, tacos were even better!

Quesadilla, chicken fajitas and pollo bravo

Good service, ambiance, food with good portion sizes. Salsa was too watery. Free limited parking

Fish taco (sorry I was hungry)

My only complaint is that I didn't come here sooner! I love the vibe...good music, clean restaurant, friendly and attentive service. The chips are the thin ones that I love. The salsa is chunky tomato, which I also love. The queso was a mild cheese sauce, that was good as well. I had the fish taco with a corn shell. The fish was fried and was overcooked, but I ate it and it was good anyway. Husband had a Margarita with Grand Marnier. It had a good amount of liquor in it. I finished out my meal with the pecan flan, which was creamy, sweet, and delicious! I will be back!!!

The margarita's steak tasted terrible and the chorizo tasted like dog food. The food was very cold as well.

I had no idea and I would've preferred my burrito and enchilada without the red sauce. Service was great and the place was busy, which is always a good sign. It was pretty busy when we went on a Wednesday evening and that showed us some promise. I am from Arizona so I know good Mexican food. We walked in and sat down right away. I brought my hydro flask water bottle inside and didn't order a drink from our waitress. Another lady came up after and said I couldn't have outside food or drinks inside and I told them it was just water and she rudely said if I didn't take it outside I couldn't stay. This literally blew my mind. It's water. And to threaten my presence over a cup is wild. This introduction did not leave me with any optimism for the food. They give you chips and salsa with individual cups for salsa which I do appreciate. Both were fine but the salsa tasted like Pace from a jar. Our food came out in a reasonable amount of time, however my order was wrong. I got the pick 3 combo with rice and beans. I picked a beef quesadilla, a chille relleno and a fried tamale but the tamale was relaxed with some kind of stuff poblano pepper. Both stuffed peppers were terrible and I didn't eat them. The meat inside was soft and mushy and the sauce on the top had way too much going on. The quesadilla had good cheese but the "shredded beef" was really like a soft roasting meat that had no salt. I think I only ate the rice and beans and 1/3 of the quesadilla and took all of the toppings out of it. Overall a terrible experience and I would never return if I lived here.

So much that I usually make little happy dances and pleasure sounds while eating. I don't even care who sees me either. There is more soul in this little gas station restaurant than anywhere within twenty miles. This is Soul Food at its best. You may ask how I can call Mexican food, Soul Food...? Here is my take... Soul Food, to me, is much more than a "type of food". Don't get me crooked, I am all about some OxTail's, Smothered Pork Chops, Chicken & Dressing, Turkey Necks, Greens, Cornbread, etc. etc. etc. It's about food made with love, by people who love to make food, with techniques and seasonings handed down through generations of good people. That is what you get here! Every time I eat here I am filled with the love of the folks in the kitchen as well as their ancestors. It's a small family business, and Tony is one of the greatest people you will ever meet. He is so happy to be in his little section of this gas station slinging this heavenly food. I drive 40 minutes each way from work to eat here and as soon as I leave I cannot wait to get back. It's that damn good! Everything is great, but you have to try the Carnitas! Life changing flavor!
