Marcs stores no longer boast lower prices. I have noticed many recent price increases. I have lessened my visits to Marcs considerably because of their higher prices. Do your homework. An educated shopper can still save money. Unfortunately, it's not at Marc's anymore. read more

I can't believe that I'm leaving 5 star review for Marc's but it's happening. Marc's in North Olmsted offers a refreshingly civilized shopping experience that stands out among discount retailers. The store is impressively spacious, allowing for easy navigation through well-organized aisles without the usual crowding or clutter. You don't feel constrained at all walking the aisles. It feels like a Giant Eagle or another well designed store. From the moment you enter, it's clear that cleanliness is a top priority--the floors are spotless, shelves are neatly stocked, and the overall environment feels well-maintained and welcoming. To be very honest, I was blown away. Staff members are courteous and efficient, contributing to the calm and orderly atmosphere. Whether you're picking up everyday essentials, exploring seasonal items, or browsing their closeout section, the layout makes the experience pleasant and efficient. I very quickly checkout through Customer Service in the last hour of the store being open. The clerk was super pleasant considering especially that it was the end of the day. Value! Value is unmatched here. There were a lot of cute ethnic looking trinkets in the Closeouts, some very cute Target clothes (up to around 10 bucks), and lots of home decor. Everything was super organized and I easily browsed it all. I spent $20 on sour cream, and closeouts (Hello Kitty sweater, pan, and plate). I thought that it was pretty reasonable. I also was peeking at this weekender bag but to be honest I have so many of them that I don't need one more. Lastly, the store has a lot of flowers outside for all your gardening needs. Herbs too! I walked through to look and they all looked well taken care of. Really healthy plants and huge selection. Highly recommended for those who appreciate a tidy, well-run store that doesn't sacrifice quality for cost. Stop in for close outs and gardening needs! read more

I am tired of getting screwed with bad food products at Marc's North Olmsted ! First it was the Delhi with bad Roast Beef. Then it was The Dairy with Oinkos or one of the other brands with incomplete servings inside their packaging. Now most recently it is the Produce section. I bought three Cucumbers for a Salad. But one of them, even though Green in Color was NOT ripe and caused a bad very bitter taste and I had to throw the mixed salad out, not to mention the Mayonaise and sour cream that was wasted ! read more

This store has improved some and is slightly better than my last review. There is a lot of room for improvement and a need for a remodel since this is one of the older stores. The people there are very friendly. read more

It's not a bad store. It's a pretty good store actually, as far as supermarkets go. A solid four stars. I want to drop two stars for the absurd inconvenience of NOT accepting any major credit cards, expect for Discover. Discover...the one card that I now longer have. Discover...the one card that I have no desire to have. Discover...the one card that no one in my group had. Oh, and they don't accept debit cards of any form. They accept cash, paper check (yeah, I know), and Discover card. That's it. Bless their checkout staff. They must get so sick of having to explain this over-and-over to unknowing new customers. We stood there, reacting and re-asking and re-clarifying this payment policy, just puzzled. They were patient and kind. Adding a star back for being a small, local chain. Not the best-stocked of supermarkets, but pretty impressive considering the size of the company. #shoplocal !!! read more

The only good thing about this store is the closeouts section. Very dirty. Restrooms never seem to be stocked with toilet paper. Some staff members and cashiers are rude. The Avon Marc's is much cleaner and user friendly. This store was recently renovated and looks so much bigger and cleaner. The ladies at customer service are great. My favorite part of this Marc's has to be the closeout section which is well organized and stocked. I just wish this Marc's still had its pharmacy. So much better than other locations I've been to. read more

If you are looking for cheap, HERE IT IS!!! But is cheap always the at the top of the list?! The store is not the cleanest, they do not take visa, mastercard or american express.... Who only carries cash or discover at all times?!!! I asked one of the store clerks about why and she told me that discover made an agreement with the store that if the store used discover exclusively, then they would not charge the store any fees.... WOW!!! So I've gotta run around to find an atm every time I want to shop here... Is is worth it?! I'm not so sure. I mean what grocery store doesn't accept ALL major credit cards?! I didn't even realize that discover was still considered a "major credit card" anymore! I guess that is how they keep their prices so cheap! Even though I love a bargain, sometimes I may just go to the store up the street just for the convenience of being able to pull out whatever card is in my purse and pay with ease! read more

I haven't been to this location in years and remember why now. I had a cart with a horrific wheel that despite fixing it every two minutes it continued to stick and pull in different directions. Some employees noticed me struggling it and literally chuckled which leads me to believe it's an ongoing thing. The store was dirty and cashier unfriendly. I literally gave up halfway thru my list because I couldn't deal with it anymore. I stopped at a different store on my way home to finish up and was immediately reminded how stores should run. I realize it's covid year but other stores are managing. The marcs in Berea (although I don't go there often) is not as unpleasant as great northern. read more

I like the selection in this store, you end up buying a bagful of things because everything there is so cheap.

Cheap prices and a large assortment of groceries and pharmacy items in a somewhat compact store.

Marcs is amazing! You can get tons of stuff at cheap prices, they have random household products (fans, tools, kitchen stuff, clothing etc) they also are a full grocery and drug store. I wish there was a Marcs in Chicago! read more

I was a regular shopper here for certain deals; however very disappointed in the management. When I got home from an entire evening of shopping, I realized the cashier neglected to give me one of my bags with a $9.99 bottle of Moscato Bubbly Champagne. The store was closed by the time I got home so I went back the next day. The manager told me that the bag wasn't in their log so therefore they had to "review the tape footage" which takes at least a day and then they'd get back to me. Thus, I would need to wait at least a day for them to review tape footage, call me back, then if they determined the cashier did not give me the bag, I would have to be inconvenienced yet again by coming back to the store another day so they could replace my missing item. There were no apologies or niceties (or smiles even offered). Very unfriendly. Such an example of poor customer service (as if I needed to lie about a $10 missing item) I know I did not leave it in the cart because I had things on the bottom rack of the cart as well and certainly would have noticed. It just seems to me that good customer service would dictate that they replace the missing item (especially given that I'm sure it wouldn't break the store's profit margin). Just disappointing and will not be shopping here anymore given this experience. And will also be telling all colleagues of my experience and poor management and discouraging them from shopping here as well. Hope it was worth it to lose a customer and all future purchases for $10. read more
