I know it has been a little bit since the change, but it was a little sad to see. They still offer grocery pick up for those who prefer to pick up their items. Heinen's is a great local grocery chain. They have a nice deli, produce section and wine area. Staff are always friendly and helpful. Overall it is a great place to shop.

Make sure the cashier doesn't miss scanning anything or you will look and feel like a criminal as you try to make your exit. This really loud alarm goes off and barking dogs come out of this dark hidden room. Helicopters, snipers and swat units surround the building and the store is temporarily shut down. If you just believed all that you should probably be careful what you trust and take literal on the internet. Lol. Totally joking but it does suck when you're in a hurry and they're busy so you have to go back to the end of the line and wait to pay for your missed item. Or you can do what I did. I rudely jumped the entire line and said "excuse me I have to pay for this because you forgot to scan it." Aww well if you upset them, they'll do better next time. Lol Other than the receipt police system I really have no issues with this wholesale club. And just to clarify, it's not the receipt police employees I have an issue with. Today Feb 18th on stopped at the Avon Lake store. I was thinking it was the 19 th and used their…read moresales to purchase som extra large red Argentina shrimp that were on sale. Because it was the 18 th I did not receive the sale price of $9.98 ($4.99) per pound for the two pound package. I was heading out the door when I realized what happened. The price I paid was $19.98 not the $9.98. I went back to the teller who said to take it to customer service. The time was 12:35 pm and the counter was closed to 1 pm. I asked for a manager. The manager apologized but the person would be back at 1 pm. I could not wait because of another meeting I had. I said that is not good customer service, that someone in the store should be able to take the return. At 10 minutes to 1pm I had to leave with the item, and would return the next day. I understand someone taking a break, but there should be someone ( manager) should be able to help. I do not shop there very often and will do even less now.

My issue was getting them to deliver. Some just left without delivery just did not understand others have brought items I didn't order. I have trouble walking and was at first pleased. I hope we are on the right tract now because of the convenience.
