So we have been trying to check out some new pizza places in town as we're getting a little tired…read moreof ordering the same old same old. So I got some garlic rolls as an appetizer and the buffalo chicken rolls. And I just got a pepperoni and sausage with mushroom pizza traditional crust. The toppings honestly on the pizza look like the ones I used to put on My Easy-Bake oven when I was a little girl. My man actually had to show me the mushrooms because I didn't think there was any on there. The garlic rolls were worse than the ones that I get from the frozen food section at the grocery store and a lot less flavor. I actually deconstructed the buffalo chicken roll because I don't particularly like peppers so I took the whole thing apart and there was one little piece of chicken in each roll with the rest being cabbage and peppers. It wasn't good to put it mildly. The sauce was actually pretty good for the pizza but the toppings didn't taste very good and it just was very bland. I believe we ate three out of six pieces and we sent the rest to the trash. Its average for me. The monkey bites dessert was actually good so they get a third star for that. Im good. Maybe i need to start cooking?

We visited this place as an alternative after one of our favorite spots closed for remodeling. I…read morecalled ahead to ask if they accommodate food allergies, and they were upfront in saying they do not--which I appreciated, even if it was a bit disappointing. The pizza itself was ok, though a little on the greasy side. However, what really brought the experience down was the customer service. When I picked up the order--three "Boardwalk" pizzas--I asked for chili pepper packets. I was handed just three small packets, so I politely asked for a few more. The woman at the counter responded by grabbing a handful, tossing them on the box, and telling me that next time they're ten cents a packet. There was no visible signage indicating this charge, and it came off as unnecessarily rude. A little kindness goes a long way in hospitality, and unfortunately, that was lacking here. The food was decent, but the customer interaction left a lot to be desired.

But this ain't Gino's, (or Amie's, or Mancino's South, or Myle's, or Half Time, or Pizza Pub 516). THIS. IS. PIZZA CAT!! And, Pizza Cat has always done a good job of serving up #TOLEDOSTYLE pies. My only criticism for this store is the same that I had for the original store. The pizzas need more sauce. Have I ever had a sub-par pizza from The Cat? Sure, but nobody bats 1000. Usually, however, the pizza is great. I usually like my pizza simple and traditional, but if you like to go outside the (pizza) box, this place is for you. You wanna talk about variety, options, and creativity? Pizza Cat's menu is second to none. SERVICE: From the time that I placed my order, until the time I was notified that my pizza was ready, only 12 minutes had elapsed. Not bad at all. ATMOSPHERE: Take out only. But there is a cute painting on the wall. If they promise to cut my pizza well enough that the pieces don't stick together, they can keep their 5 Stars!

I've always been a fan of Jo Jo's pizza, in both Toledo and Sylvania. This location, in…read moreWhitehouse, features a similarly great "tangy but not too sweet" sauce, soft thin crust, and very flavorful cheese blend. The toppings, for me, pepperoni and jalapeno, are fine too. Jo Jo's in Whitehouse is unique in that it features an all-you-can-eat buffet several days per week. The buffet includes pizza, subs, cheesy bread, and several dessert pizzas. What this Jo Jo's DOESN'T have is the other Jo Jos' awesome antipasto salad with homemade Italian dressing (some of the best Italian dressing I've had anywhere). What this Jo Jo's DOES have, however, is an outstanding chef salad. I usually skip the turkey and croutons, and request double bacon. Okay, the bacon is amazing. I'm serious, it's actually amazing! It's cooked fresh and crumbled for each salad. I get the salad with Greek dressing, as the Italian, at this Jo Jo's, is not the same recipe used on Monroe Street or at Mayberry. Now, I'm a pizza addict, but I'm also trying to stay in shape as I get older. You might be able to argue with me about the healthiness of bacon, but this salad is amazing and has almost no empty carbs. Eating it is as satisfying (almost) as eating a pizza. Service is great. Most of the people working here are high school and college aged kids, but they're not a bunch of Gen Z slackers. They hustle, and your food gets out to you quickly. FINALLY, Jo Jo's in Waterville has a TMNT pinball machine (Data East, 1991) that costs a quarter and is in very good shape. Also, you'll find a 60-in-1 Multigame rig. Beat me in Dig Dug? Dream on. FIVE STARS!

A wonderful aroma of pizza greets you, so we were tempted to try the deep dish but we're too hungry to wait. Not that 40 minutes is an unreasonable duration to cook a deep dish pizza, but ours was already a late lunch, and we were hungry. Instead we ordered "handheld" sandwiches. My friend had the chicken delight"full" on ciabatta bread. I had the Philly cheese steak with housemade queso with a Caesar salad on the side.. My sandwich was a little peppery? I was disappointed that the Caesar salad was just a green salad with croutons and Caesar dressing, especially since there was an upcharge. Those breadsticks saved the day - something for which I would definitely return. Atmosphere was fun and the restrooms were clean.
