Though I'm not a fan of waiting 45+ minutes for it to bake. And, I've not found value in an expensive Giradano's deep pizza. Hence, we haven't been back. However, on this evening, we wanted pizza and a nice outdoor patio. Giradano's has a nice, comfortable, attractive and covered outdoor patio. Relaxing and cool. Nice street view of Dupont road. The facility is large and seats a LOT of people. It's a great place for large groups! The team here hustled and helped each other out. The moist sauce somewhat accented the biscuit crust and topping flavors. I just thought it could have been much better if it were thicker in consistency. The green peppers, onions and mushrooms were sautéed. This gives them a bit more flavor and helped them blend with the cheese nicely. The Special pizza has sausage whereas the Chicago Classic has pepperoni. I was really hoping for a spicy and bold sausage flavor. What I got was a very mild meat taste.
