I thought the pizza was super greasy. I'm aware there is usually a grease stain on the box, but this was a puddle. but overall it tasted ok.

This is a no-frills, hole-in-the-wall spot serving New Orleans-style fried wings, po' boys, and other comfort food. We got a bunch of stuff: - Crowd Pleaser (with fried fish, wings, Cajun fries, egg fried rice): The fish & wings were crispy perfection & still super juicy. We had them with the two most popular sauces- Mambo and sriracha aoili, both were delicious. The fries & fried rice were classic- the person working recommended eating the rice with a sweet sauce I don't remember the name of and gave it to us without any additional cost, which was so nice. - Shrimp Po' Boy: Again, fried & seasoned to perfection! - Chicken Banh Mi: This is a great option if you're wanting to avoid fried foods! Loved the refreshing veggies (cucumber, carrot, jalapeño) & creamy aioli. I do think it was missing pâté though. - Gumbo: Super comforting. Ambiance isn't really applicable since Manchu is take out only (there are some seats for waiting). Service was great, very friendly & fast. There is a free parking lot right next to the restaurant. 10/10 would recommend!

But let me give you the cheat code: order the shrimp and chicken Alfredo. Thank me later. It's rich, loaded, and the portion size is ridiculous. Like "why is this plate this heavy?" ridiculous. Come hungry. Leave full. Possibly reconsider your life choices halfway through the plate -- but in a good way.

Let's start with the good: The restaurant is exceptionally…read moreclean. It's small, but it gives that quaint, community-eatery feel that's really welcoming. The shrimp and fish were solid, and the gravy on my smothered turkey chop deserves every accolade. It's rare to find true homemade gravy in Richmond, so kudos for that. The yams were top-tier, and the cornbread, while flavorful tasted a bit dry rather than fresh. Now, the food overall was a mixed bag. The chicken lacked seasoning, and the turkey chop, although thick, was unfortunately dry to the point where I couldn't tell if I was eating turkey or chicken. My aunt ordered the grilled salmon cakes, which were a big miss, though she enjoyed her fried cabbage and fried potatoes. Now for the not-so-good: I attempted to call in my order and was placed on hold for so long that I arrived at the restaurant before anyone came back to the line. When I walked in, it wasn't busy at all, no ringing phone, no visible orders, and no customers picking up, which left me confused about why I had been left on hold. Customer service also fell flat. I still tipped 10% because I always do on takeout, but honestly, I regret it. The young lady seemed far more focused on her phone than on making new customers feel welcomed, and that's the kind of thing that determines whether people return. All that said: I'm a firm believer in giving restaurants two chances. If my second visit is better, I'll definitely update my review . For now, it's 3 stars for me.

Now let's talk food, because the wings and nachos here are absolutely to die for. The wings come out perfectly crispy with just the right amount of sauce, and the nachos are piled high and loaded in all the right ways. Every single time I order them I wonder why I ever eat anywhere else. But here's my pro tip -- hit happy hour. Trust me on this one. The daiquiris during happy hour are hands down the best in all of Richmond. Refreshing, perfectly balanced, and dangerously easy to drink. Fuzzy Cactus has the perfect combination of great food, killer drinks, and even better people. Do yourself a favor and get in there.

Came only for the wings and they definitely live up to the hype. Came out fresh and hot. The wings were huge and perfectly saucy - might be some of my favorite wings in RVA thus far. The buffalo sauce was perfect. We also got the sweet heat which was like a mild bbq sauce with a little bit of heat - the sauce itself was okay but the wings being perfectly cooked made up for it. Will be back again soon as our usual wing spot!
