Turns out, one washer/dryer pair belonged to the other tenants (which resulted in an awkward encounter when our neighbors found us using their stuff) and the other washer was broken. Thanks rental company! My husband and I were going to eat the cost and buy a new washer but, on a whim, I decided to call Boston and Cambridge Appliance to see if they could fix the washer first. I called them yesterday, late afternoon. Less than 24 hours later, the washer is in great working order and we saved ourselves A LOT of money. The repairmen were also incredibly friendly, efficient, and helpful. They keep all their supplies with them in their truck so unless you have some rare problem, they can fix anything on the spot. Can't recommend them highly enough!

I have mostly been happy with the final products, which really isn't a reflection of Beach Sales per se (but rather, Electrolux, Kitchenaid, etc.). I had one somewhat negative experience after a delivery person dropped stove pieces outside of my home and tried to deliver without comment (I witnessed). It took an unnecessary amount of discussion with folks back at the store to come up with a repair plan. But ultimately they helped to re-send replacement cast iron parts for what had been dropped and damaged. Most recently, I have grown very frustrated with trying to access the 50% rebate on an unused five-year warranty. I feel that I was misled. It's come to my attention that the "50% back" is actually just for Beach Sales purchases, and it's not a refund check as it had seemed. Not only that, there are many many hoops to jump through. Even after jumping through all the hoops and gathering all the old documents from five years ago AND following the guidelines, I am still waiting six months later with no rebate. No coupon nor check. While the extra five-year warranty sounds like a good idea, don't count on the 50% back rebate. And be sure to ask questions.

He quickly assessed that the drain pump was not functioning correctly. He gave me a honest quote, and he asked if I wanted to make the repair. After discussing with my wife, we agreed to get the washer repaired. He had the part with him and got to work to replace the part. In addition to making the repair well, he spent time to check that the washer worked after replacing the part and that it did not leak before closing the washer up. He then moved back the washer in place even though I am the one who moved the washer in the first place. He gave me a 1-year warranty on the repair as he used a genuine LG part. He was professional and courteous. I would definitely call Home Pro Appliance again for any appliance problem.

We had special-ordered bronze appliance handles for the GE Cafe set, and one of the refrigerator door handles had started to oxidize within a year. It didn't bother us as it was hidden but then it started to peel and the silver metal was showing through. We only use a soft damp cloth to wipe them down, never any chemicals. I gave Hugo's a call a few weeks ago to see if this was a known issue and if GE would replace. The person I spoke to on the phone took down my information and asked me to text some photos to Al and follow-up on Monday. Al said this was the first he had heard of this issue but he reached out to GE on our behalf and by Friday of that same week, we had a replacement handle on our doorstep. We definitely would not have received this service had we ordered through one of the big box stores. This is why we choose to shop with small businesses. Thank you, Al!! It was the part itself, and an ongoing class action suit from the manufacturer. He shared the information and I was able to pursue a return. He also took the time to confirm that everything he had done was correct and that the oven was working as well as it could be. I appreciate his honesty and willingness to go above and beyond.
