I contacted BBCR to flash, caulk and seal my skylights so that I could take time over the summer to…read moreplan and save for a new roof. I relied on the 4-5 star ratings on Home Advisor in selecting them. I regret it because I spent $4,800 on work that had to be redone by someone else. BBCR didn't do what they said they were going to do. The work that they did do was done so poorly that water began dripping into the house the first (and every) time snow melted and when it rained after they completed the job. An independent inspector report confirmed inadequate workmanship: flashings unsealed, nails not fully seated and sub-par connection work on new roof tiles that they put in. I had been told I'd get copper flashings; instead they were aluminum colored on one side to look like copper. I had agreed to having the north side of the roof redone; instead they only did the portion between the skylights. And the list continues. I ended up having to replace the entire roof immediately by another qualified company to avoid further damage inside. Although I haven't paid in full, I overpaid by at least 2 thousand dollars based on labor and materials estimates that would cover the cost of the work done. I was willing to split the difference to be fair. The owner wouldn't meet with me or accept responsibility for his work. He indicated several times in phone calls that his lawyer would contact me to discuss it (which didn't happen), and wouldn't give me the lawyer's name to negotiate a settlement. I don't understand how this company could get a 4-5 star rating if the work they did on my roof is representative of what they usually do. I hope that knowing this will help prevent what happened to me from happening to someone else.

I contacted Brandon of Precision Roofing and Property Management, as my neighbor had them do his roof recently. He gave me a fair quote and said that they could do it on the next Monday or Tuesday. Monday was a heavy snow day so he said Tuesday. I believe that was the coldest day of the year, like 3 or 4 degrees. Brandon and his crew shoveled snow of the roof, stripped the old roofing off both house and garage, and replaced with a new color matching roof in one day. He said that they cleaned up what they could - there was six inches of snow on the ground, they would return in the spring. Chris from the crew came out and did a great job of cleaning and picking up the nails with his roller magnet after the snow was gone. He did a great job! Very happy with the company and employees in every step of this project.

I placed the call on a Friday, that following week, as promised, I was contacted by John who came out for an estimate. Where other roofing contractors were trying to sell me a new roof that I don't need, John discovered that nothing on my roof had been caulked or sealed, causing the leak. Within a few days, someone came out, caulked everything, and replaced a few nails. Price was very reasonable and above that, I appreciate and value the integrity and honesty with which this company works. They are on top of my list for any future roofing or construction needs I may have.
