Exceptional Service with Integrity and Expertise…read more Dean and the team at Detroit City Sweep exceeded every expectation. From the moment he arrived for the service call, his professionalism, knowledge, and attention to detail were evident. He took the time to thoroughly inspect the chimney, clearly explain the repair recommendations, and answer every question without ever making me feel rushed. What stood out most was Dean's commitment to doing the job right. His workmanship was exceptional, the work area was left spotless, and the entire experience was seamless from start to finish. It's refreshing to find a company that combines technical expertise with genuine customer care. I recently had a roof replaced with Barnett. I need to separate my comments regarding the actual…read moreworkers, and the company owner / son. The communication up front was nearly non-existent. Follow-up does not happen as promised. One morning prior to 7 a.m., I was awakened to the sound of my dogs barking insistently, only to find a truck full of building materials, and three strange men walking around my lawn. The owners son had forgotten to tell me materials would be delivered. The actual workers get 5 stars. The owner and son have earned one star. Thus, the average of 3 stars for this review. They were polite, timely, meticulously clean. They worked from sun up to sun down, barely taking any break. I have nothing but good things to say about them. I found the owners son to be quite difficult. This includes a remark that the son made about his (Mexican) workers that was quite derogatory and I was offended. After the work was completed, I had a gusher of a leak in the sunroom late one evening after the first rain. I called the next morning and was told they would come to repair the damages mid morning the following day. They failed to call or show up. I got up on a ladder and took photos, shocked by the sloppy workmanship I discovered. When I called the following day to inquire, I was rudely treated. I told the owner NOT to send the son back to my property. The following day the son arrived. I am now told that they have corrected the deficiencies, however I have zero confidence in these folks. I am considering paying a second company to do a full inspection to provide assurance that there are no more leaks and I will not have trouble down the road. Photos will be posted.

TLDR; Kathryn from L&S reached out to remediate our experience…read more I'm sure the company is great for insurance covered roofing projects, however I would recommend going with any other company for out of pocket projects. We had L&S give us a quote on a new roof. Gentleman showed up in basketball shorts and t shirt in the middle of winter. Didn't go on the roof for inspection, didn't go in the attic for inspection. Simply climbed 2 steps up the attic ladder breaking a step on the ladder following it up with a comment "this is why I don't go in attics!". Shined flashlight and said "yup you need a new roof!", some attic inspection that was. Gentleman was more concerned about what homeowners did for work to determine a price for quote. Don't flag my review simply because you don't agree with it, practice better business and you'll get better reviews.
