As for the people that I dealt with, ALL were very nice to the individual. From the sales/scheduler/biller/facilitator, to the designer, and each member of the work crew. And the plants themselves were top notch (and all at full retail pricing). As for the rest (i.e.: the job itself, the quality of materials, quality the work, the attention to detail, communication with the customer and between management and the crew, professionalism, work ethic, follow-up, overall satisfaction with the experience, etc.), I'll refrain from posting the 500 word review that I wrote, and let the rating speak for itself. Simply put, the experience was not what I had expected from a company with a 30 year history in the community. None of this should come as a surprise, as there were issues at every stage. Insert the prompt referral from Kurtzhals (thank you a million times) to Wrights. I placed 6 phone calls to other landscape companies- and Wrights is the ONLY one that contacted me back. But not only did they contact me back- they did so with 20 minutes of my initial phone call. The owner came out within two weeks right on time for our scheduled appointment. He was professional, kind, real and very upfront with each step that would take place. I informed him that my husband is "thorough" in his research for our home project needs, and he agreed that he would take on any and all questions my dear husband had. A month later and 3 additional estimates from vendors my husband ended up finding on his own- and as a surprise to me while I was away- my husband found Wrights to be the most professional and reasonable out of everyone he contacted. We scheduled our appointment via their website and had a quick home consultation where we told him what we would ideally like done. I did a bit of quick math on the mulch and sent me a text shortly after with the rate for the labor and the materials. I found it to be incredibly reasonable so we decided to move forward with the job. They are booked pretty heavily so it took a couple of weeks for our appointment but they showed up and worked efficiently to finish the job neatly and thoroughly. Our garden looks amazing and they did a great job pulling all those pesky weeds in our rock beds that had been causing me grief (and back pain!) over the spring and summer. I'm so happy with how it all looks. I can't stop marveling at our very cute yard now! And my plants seem way happier now that we've got the mulch around them as well. Not only was their price very reasonable (it came in between two other quotes), Mike also took his time to explain what to look for in a paver patio and what design elements would fit our vision. He also educated us on the installation process of the patio from the very beginning. Once the construction started, it went much quicker than we had expected. And throughout the process, Mike continued to communicate with us changes that needed to be made based on the elevation of our yard. He always gave us choices on the changes, and we often consulted him on the better choice. Because we were working from home, we were able to observe Mike and his crew working on the patio. It was very clear that Mike took great care with the little details to make the patio perfect. Based on the similar care his crew members showed, it was clear that Mike also imparted the importance of quality work to them. Work quality aside, Mike was also wonderful and respectful from the first time we talked. When we first met, he was kind enough to wear a mask when he saw that I was also wearing a mask. I refuse to pay him the insane amount of money until he racked the cut grass up. He constantly stated that his business partner had his zero degree lawnmower around the corner on another job. That made no sense to me, I'm thinking you and your partner should be doing jobs together if you're sharing equipment. So he had no lawnmower to go over the cut grass to make the lawn look even. He finally agreed to rake the cut grass from my lawn but did a half job saying that he was hot and tired. I paid him because this is my home and I don't need no problems at home from nobody. I have two lots of backyard yard space that he attempted to make even cut with weed wacker! I wasn't gonna make a review at all but I still have to rake my grass and finish what he was paid to do! I hope he enjoy what he got paid because he lost a good customer.
