B&G were very flexible in scheduling both the measuring appointment and the installation appointment, which I especially appreciated with my busy schedule. There was one point in the fabrication process where Mel called me to inform me that my countertops were actually going to require the use of two slabs of stone, which was different from the original quote. She worked with me to make adjustments to the size of my kitchen island so that we were able to keep our materials and costs at just one slab - which made a huge difference! In the end, we think the island turned out even better with the slightly smaller dimensions. The countertops were installed flawlessly, and they even managed to keep our longest countertop to one piece with no seam! We have an older home with some definite challenges, and they navigated those challenges extremely well. We are beyond thrilled with our new countertops and would highly recommend Bath and Granite!

But still spent a lot of money as it an expensive decision!), fine/poor installation (the edges don't line up totally and the caulking is coming apart less than a year after installation, outlet covers didn't fit back on without coming back to fix. They did line up the veins between slabs beautifully), terrible customer service. Overall, I second many of the difficult experiences some of the other reviews on here share. They damaged a few things in our home (hardwood floor, oven vent, chip on their newly installed counter, left the suction marks on the back splash- all of which we had to point out to them and/or provide proof they made the damage). Everything got fixed (because we wouldn't pay in full until everything got fixed) but we had to constantly reach out and fight for it. We started following up calls with texting and emailing to ensure everything was in writing. Every time we called, he would start the call with, "who is this?" after we had already shared our name. And then he told he did us a favor by fixing his mistakes. It took literally months after installation for everything to be squared away. To top it off, it hasn't been a year since we had our counters installed and we are working this weekend to re-caulk all of it. Whether that is normal or not- we're not sure (we don't think so?), but with the experience we had throughout the process, it feels like another hurdle at this point. I originally hired Josh years ago for a very small job which he humbly accepted in between his other large jobs (in hindsight he was far overqualified). I knew he would be our person for any future projects. When it came time for cabinetry for our basement finish, I knew Josh was who we would use. To cover my bases, I explored a couple other quotes. Here's the nutshell on that. While Josh's pricing was at first glance (slightly) on the higher side than other quotes, the value easily exceeded the other quotes we got. One was slightly less but the cabinets would have to be painted after install (they didn't provide painting) whereas Josh follows best practices and all cabinets were expertly painted prior to install. Josh is also able to do just about anything you can dream of. We did a custom wardrobe-style storage closet with paneling to match an adjacent wall and the work he did seamlessly integrates with the work of our basement carpenter. Moreover, when some things went south with our project and we had to have the floors redone, Josh really saved us. We no longer trusted our original carpenter and Josh helped fix trim work that had been damaged in the floor debacle process. As you can see, I really can't say enough good things about Josh and his skills. The bonus to all of this is he is a kind, genuine person who is genuinely wonderful to be around. Don't be surprised if it feels as comfortable having him in your home as it does a long-time friend. Show Josh respect and kindness and he will return it tenfold and more.
