    Iced oatmilk matcha latte
    Crystal B.

Stopped by with my husband to grab some drinks to go. I ordered an iced oatmilk matcha latte - it was solid. My husband got an iced oatmilk hazelnut latte - he said it was good. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The cafe felt like a literal hidden gem because of the construction going on at the mall.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I'm glad we found this place. It was super cute - service was pleasant - And it always feels great to support a local business![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

    Dirty chai

We stopped by for some coffee enroute to Arizona. The owner was super sweet and made our coffee awesome. We got a dirty chai and iced Carmel macchiato. The owner had a good chat with us and was a very pleasant experience. The coffee was very good, not bitter or burnt at ALL which I've noticed many other places lately have been. I will definitely be back the next time I'm in the area!

This is a small mom and pop shop located inside the plaza. There's plenty of parking since the shop is huge. There's lots of places to eat nearby as well. Plenty of options for flavoring, with options of milk. The gentleman working was very nice and welcoming! They do have pastries as well. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There's seating inside as well as chairs outside.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Coffee and pastry was about 8 bucks I think. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They have performers on some days.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Recommend for good coffee and welcoming vibes.

POV: you randomly find your new favorite coffee spot Honey lavender latte = actual perfection [[HIGHLIGHT]]Stopped by Marathon Coffee and the vibes were immaculate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The owner was so kind, clearly passionate about his craft, and casually a marathon runner?? ‍ which made the whole experience even better. You can just feel when someone loves what they do. Safe to say I'll be back!!

It's a great place to study, work, or just hang out with friends.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Simon is amazing!! We've always receive great service. He's always very calm and patient.

Iced white chocolate mocha, so yummy!
    Robin W.

This place is a hidden gem at Grossmont Center! I can't believe all these years I didn't know of its existence. When you walk in, you're greeted by the nicest man with the friendliest smile, who I believe is the owner. He even remembered my Grandma who had been there a few days prior which was so sweet. It was busy and he was the only one working but it was absolutely worth the wait. I got an iced white chocolate mocha and I watched him meticulously make the drink. It was all fresh pressed and hand stirred. The amount was so generous too, most times the drink is all ice and barely any beverage. This is probably the first time that I could've used a bit more ice, but the coffee was so delicious that I wouldn't want to lose out on that either. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside is small but has tons of seating and a cute spot for a photo op or to just relax for a moment after shopping.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]He also had on an interesting video about some people who were running a 300 mile marathon in Arizona, which was entertaining while we waited.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I would definitely like to return!

Ordered two coffees, the coconut coffee & the Turkish hazelnut coffee. The coconut coffee has real coconut flakes in it,which makes the overall taste come through much better. The Turkish coffee has so much depth in flavor and was nicely balanced. Tried the chocolate chip cookie here and it was big enough to share between two people. Looking forward to coming back to try other drinks.

Update after the owner's response:…read more I appreciate the response, but I stand by my experience. Whether the wait was 5 minutes or 20, we were standing at the pickup counter after receiving a notification that our order was ready, and no one acknowledged us until we spoke up. During a rush, communication still matters. I also want to clarify that I never claimed to have a dairy intolerance or allergy, because I do not. I simply stated that all of us became sick shortly after consuming the drinks and pastry we purchased there. I never claimed to know the exact cause -- only the timing of what occurred. What disappointed me most was not just the experience itself, but the defensive and dismissive tone of the response instead of a more professional acknowledgment of a customer concern. I genuinely wanted to enjoy this place because it is cute and came recommended to me, but unfortunately this was my experience.

And, not for nothing, when I'm at Brew Coffee Spot picking up the beans I ordered online, I always have a coffee. Joe either does a great job of training his baristas, or he's REALLY good at hiring talent, or both. I had barely had a chance to have lunch so was really happy to randomly see a coffee shop to grab a cold coffee on a hot day to bring with me to my hair appointment. Parking was easy and I walked into the coffee shop. There was no wait at all at that time. I browsed the menu and decided on an iced Simple Special which was basically an iced mint latte. I ordered it with nonfat milk I waited for only a couple of minutes for my drink to be made. During that time I saw that they were playing records and had several records for sale. That was really cool. If I lived in the area I would definitely hang out and listen to records while sipping on coffee. The reason for only 4 stars.... my charge was abut $8 which felt a bit stiff for only the 16 oz drink. It made me wary of what a 20 oz would cost. All in all, I had a good experience at The Simple Coffee House. My drink had good flavor without being overly sweet. I liked the records and the vibe at the coffeehouse.
