While the front desk sometimes is not as friendly and it can take a while to get an appointment, it's clear they are almost always busy. Dr. Wierzbiki has the BEST chairside manner I have ever witnessed. He makes sure to explain everything in plain english no crazy jargon but also doesn't make you feel like an idiot. In my view, generally speaking, doctors have become little more than pill-pushers, completely dis-interested in "dialogue" with their patients. It's worse than aggravating as they're clearly showing they want no patient "participation" unless it's "doing" with their mouth(s) shut. Dr. Jani's interest in the well-being of my father has been well-rounded and long-term. In the past, she's performed in-depth medicine(s)-analysis to validate not just optimal dosages but conflicts as well. Early-on she had him log the times of day, any side-effects and other symptoms for a period of two weeks. She analyzed his information and was able to help him fine-tune his medications. I've never seen or heard of a doctor willing to do this. He's over 90 and they genuinely seem to appreciate having him check in for appointments and my phone conversations with their staff have me convinced they're happy to help in whatever way they can. Dr. Jani would be my doctor if she weren't 500 miles from where I live. As picky as I am about true, professional-grade care, she'd get my vote. Please give them a call if you're tired of what you're getting now. She's a keeper.

My wife and I have been patients at this practice for the last 3 years and we usually try to be patient and understanding with the customer service representatives and front desk employees because we understand the load of pressure they can be under from both customers and employers. That being said, this front desk employee has always a bad attitude and treats patients like they are asking for charity or a hand out! We've witnessed her mistreatment but did not expect that our time will come soon because I barely interact with her when I come for my visits. Today I was denied care because I arrived literally 14 mins late to my appointment due to a traffic incident on Smoketown road and because I stood in my car to finish filling up the 11 pages patient registration (Apparently they are getting a new system and all the patients were asked to reregister instead of using the data from the old system). The front desk employee didn't even look at me but just said you are late and Dr. won't take you and you have to reschedule! And kept repeating that! She didn't even let me speak or explain anything even though in previous visits I had waited before over 20mins to be seen by the doctor or to have my blood exam. They even cancelled our appointment without notice recently when the doctor had a family emergency! We never complained or argued even though we took time off work. Later on, when my wife told that employee out of frustration: you just lost my husband as a patient. She responded "You can withdraw your records from this practice as well " what type of health care employee is she? I let you all figure that out! Came in for upper respiratory symptoms on Friday. Front desk was not enthused to have to be at work…read morebut polite. Nurse handled vitals and symptoms logging fair quickly and with a great attitude. They did not have the full suite of tests needed to properly diagnose what was causing my illness. Doctor was quick in her evaluation but identified that I needed a STAT X-ray. I thought great, I will get pulled in another room since they have one onsite, incorrect I was referred out to another imaging center. I got the imaging done at their referred provider within two hours. Told they would send it over to AFC within 24 hours. Called Saturday, receptionist had a rude response that they did not receive any reports all day. Called back Sunday, told a provider would have to call me back, nothing. Called Monday, repeat of Sunday. Finally received a call back Tuesday late morning to tell me I had MODERATE pneumonia and that they called in prescriptions. Through some sleuthing I found AFC Dale City DOES NOT have an X-Ray Tech on staff, and had the results of my outsourced X-Ray on Friday evening per the imaging center. It took over 3 business days and multiple calls to find out I could have been hospitalized. Reading these other recent reviews show obvious review fixing and even those negatively rated get the same generalized "We are sorry you had this experience..." nonsense and an offer to call in to discuss it further. I am going to guess those go to someones voicemail to never be listened to. I also find it funny that their site will continue to advertise X-Ray, when through staff admission they have not had for MONTHS and the page is doctored to only pull 5 star reviews some of which don't even exist on Google. JUST DO BETTER IT IS NOT THAT HARD!

There is never a long wait before you are called back. Dr. Williams is wonderful. She takes her time to understand your concerns and address them accordingly. She makes sure you have a full understanding of what is going on and what needs to be done. I also like that there is a lab onsite so you do not need to go anywhere else for extensive lab work. They also check you out on the back and provide you all you paperwork so when it is time to leave, you can actually leave without having to stop at the front desk. They are also linked to the Sentara network so if you see any other doctors in the same network, they can all share information easily.

He was so rude to her that I almost said something, but I refrained. She was constantly having horrible migraines and towards the end of the visit, she asked if he was going to give her anything to help her migraines. He said something like..... Oh, you're here to get drugs... if so, you won't get it here. His reference was appalling. Constant migraines with aura "can be" a higher risk of a future stroke. A couple years later she had her 1st stroke. In the hospital she was seen by a really nice neurologist. He was thorough and easy to speak to. He listened and didn't walk out of the toom in 2 minutes. He spent about 15-20 minutes listening and explaining to our concerns. She still sees him. After that hospitalization, I went to Dr Gill's office to get a copy of her transcript of her ONE office visit. The receptionist told me there was a "search fee" and a per page copy fee I'd have to pay. I don't remember the exact amount.... but I want to say the "search fee" was about $50 and it was about $5 per page. The actual charges could be wrong. They could have been higher or lower but that's what I recall. I kindly asked the receptionist why did I have to pay $50 to type my wife's name and date of birth into her computer. I told her I knew it was the doctor, not her and she was just doing her job. She was nice and understood why I felt that way. I never got the copy. Since then she's had 2 more strokes.

At first, a male staff member called me to ask if he could shuffle some dates around and promised to call me back. But then, I was confronted by an extremely rude female staff member who treated me like I should be grateful for keeping my original appointment. When I asked if this meant I was still being switched to a new doctor, her response was outrageous! She had the audacity to say they were trying to accommodate a cancer patient by taking my appointment but decided to keep me instead. Are you kidding me?
