I typically don't write many reviews anymore, but had to give a shout out to Raj and the team at Mar Quality Protection. Shopped around for a wrap on my new Model 3 and came across Mar Quality Protection. Raj was super nice and explained everything to me to help me along the process. Out of all the quotes, they seemed to have the most reasonable prices compared to all the top tier shops in the bay. Raj was on point with communication and even answered quickly late in the night! Throughout the process, he kept me updated on the progress and kept to their word about timing and everything they promised. They were even able to help buff out some scratches that were unexpectedly found. The final product came out looking amazing as expected. Raj definitely took care of me and even went the extra mile to help me out with finalizing with some mud flaps and other ways to protect my car. Going to keep this short as other have already spoken. Straight up this place is professional as can be. From the first interaction with Raj, I knew right away he was legit. He was very informative and pleasant to deal with. Answered all of my questions and follow up questions even after the visit. Booked my appointment with them (pro tip: they're booked way in advance so get on their list asap). Got my Tesla Model Y done here and I am super stoked about the workmanship of the end result. Initially I was set on Matte ppf but Raj informed me that the upkeep was a bit higher with Matte. And knowing myself, I probably wouldn't maintain it properly so I erred on the side of caution and selected gloss. Matte is a bit more expensive (not much) and he could have easily sold me on it but Raj took the time to match the ppf technology with the person, rather than making more profit, and thats admirable. Also, for the cheap asses reading this, the price is very very fair considering we're in the bay area. Bottom line: You will not be disappointed. You will take solace in the fact that your money will go along way here. The end result will be magnificent. read more

If you're looking for a place to protect your investment look no further. MAR Quality Protection has exceeded all my expectation! I worked with Chris from the inception of my project. He was kind enough to invite me to his shop to check out his work. I got a chance to look at a Tesla Model Y in progress and a Rivian R1T that was pretty much ready for delivery, they both looked amazing! During the entire process of shopping vendors, I was never pressured by Michael at any point. The fact that he offered to have me come in and gave his honest opinion on all my questions that I had. Long term review. I brought my new car here right after picking it up late 2020. Scheduling drop off was convenient and the prices were reasonable. This was two years ago. I had the front ppf and ceramic coating applied. So far it has protected the hood, bumpers, fenders and mirrors from nasty rock impacts. Raj also provided great advice on washing and caring for the paint. Since then I've not had any noticable swirl marks when carefully hand washing the vehicle. Honestly, Raj & co. are fantastic. From the start, Raj was professional and attentive, gave me a reasonable quote right away, and was realistic about what could/couldn't be done. He was very knowledgeable about basically every car, including mine, which is always a relief. The attention to detail is amazing, and it's always good when the person detailing your car is OCD like you are (or rather, like I am, lol). Service was prompt and professional - they sent me regular updates via text, and communicated clearly every step of the way. I never like leaving my baby somewhere for too long, but my car was safe, and they didn't add a single mile to it in my absence. The ceramic coating (Kenzo 9H, 4-year) so far seems to be high quality (really does feel silky when you touch the car) and very uniformly applied, and the clear wrap on my headlights is almost invisible. Cheaper and superior in quality to my friend's dealer-applied CilaJet coating. If you are looking for detailing, coatings, wraps, etc. I can't recommend these guys highly enough. Let me first start off by saying that I hardly ever write reviews, but felt it necessary to share the AWESOME experience I had with MAR Quality Protection, and in particular, the co-owner Mike. Prior to taking delivery of my new Porsche, I spent several hours researching, reading Yelp reviews, and speaking with about a dozen or so other installers in the Bay Area to ask about their services and pricing of clear bra and ceramic coating. Mike was the most responsive and offered very competitive pricing. His response time was so fast that he sent me a text 10 minutes after my initial inquiry (which was in the latter part of the evening) - wow! My car had partial clear bra previously installed at the Porsche dealership I bought it from. However, I didn't like the line across the hood and was looking to have fuller coverage and add ceramic coating. Mike thoroughly answered my initial questions (via text), and I agreed to take my car to his shop the following week so that he can get a closer look in person and provide a more accurate quote. Other shops I received quotes were asking for over $9,000 for the type of services I wanted (which I find utterly ridiculous unless you have that much money to burn). I ended up buying the "Combo Package 2", which includes Stage 1 paint correction, full frontal clear bra (Suntek w/10-yr warranty), full exterior ceramic coating (upgraded to two layers and 4-yr warranty). I also added ceramic coating on my wheels and brake calipers. Clear bra was also added to both doors and rocker panels. I initially didn't plan on purchasing that much protection and only wanted coverage on the high impact areas, but as soon as Mike provided pricing which I thought was more than reasonable, I decided to purchase the additional coverage. There was absolutely no upsell or pressure from Mike or his partner, and I felt very comfortable and trusted their advice. In the end, they were nice enough to throw in protection on the rear bumper strip and even customized the side mirrors for me - totally awesome - THANK YOU!! Even though my Porsche is a new car, you don't realize that the dealership can sometime leave swirl or scratch marks if they aren't careful with the type of wash they use - Mike was able to point this out with fine inspection, which he cleared up with Stage 1 and in some instances Stage 2 correction. Once they completed the install, I was very happy with their work. The quality was very good such that they wrapped the clear bra around edges (where appropriate) so that the lines would not be visible. On top of that, they were very fast. I dropped my car Friday morning and received it back Tues evening. Their customer service was awesome too. Mike would frequently text pictures to show the progress of the work. They just texted me this morning (3 days after my pick-up) to check on how things were going. Would I go back there again? Yes definitely! The quality, service and pricing makes it a no-brainer. I will be in the market for a new SUV next year and will make sure to see Mike and team. I hope my review helps others if they are in the market for clear bra or ceramic coating. read more

I brought my BMW 535i (F10) here for a makeover of sorts. Raj took great care of me and my car. I ended up getting the 2-stage paint correction, 2-year ceramic coating, powder coating of the rims (satin black), and tinting of the tail lights and reflectors. He also swapped out the BMW emblems for black-and-white versions, swapped the chrome side markers for gloss black versions, and blacked out the chrome in the door handles. The quality of the work was impeccable; Raj pays close attention to detail and clearly loves what he does. He had some great ideas of his own about the project that ended up working out really well. He also kept me posted on his progress and texted me pics of the car as the makeover came together. When I picked up the car, Raj went over their maintenance recommendations and provided some great suggestions on washing supplies, techniques, guidelines, etc. Their quote was reasonable and much lower than what I would have paid on the other side of the Bay. They didn't require a deposit to schedule the work and didn't charge me for the labor of swapping out the emblems even though that wasn't initially contemplated. What a great place! Raj was a fantastic guy. His business partner and he responded to my quote request on the weekend. They asked some questions and had me come down the next business day. Someone scratched my clear wrap so bad they tore it in multiple places. Raj gave a very fair price and confirmed they use the top of the line Suntek Ultra Clear product. They took off the damaged area a week later when they squeezed me in and replaced it with a new piece. Raj also removed the two rear rock guard shark fins which were turning color (factory ones do this) and put two new ones on included in my repair job. I am definitely coming back to do some more wraps on my doors so they don't get damaged any longer. Great experience, very nice and professional, and fantastic quality of work. I'm soo glad I went with Raj at Mar Quality Protection and I can't imagine a better experience. I initially texted Raj and he walked me through the options and pricing. He explained what works best for a Model 3 and described their methods and products. Raj suggested Suntek PPF (10 year warranty) and a full body IGL ceramic coating which is good for 2 years. I got my Tesla Model Y in Dec 2020 and was thinking to do ceramic coating and did a lot of research. I am lucky to find a local shop that can do this work. After I search online and read some reviews, I decided to call Raj and made a appointment. Raj is the guy, who spent 30 minutes to talk over all the options that are available, the pro and cons. I finally decided to go with combo 2, ceramic coating+ front clear bra kit. That's what I would recommend for Tesla Model Y owner. In addition to the bra kit, Raj added fin PPF for me as I found there were some design issues with Tesla Model Y that could damage that area. I would say I am very pleased with all the work and service that Mar Profection has done for me. The color correction was much better than the original car color right after the factory, you will be surprised to see how many scratches there. Raj even went beyond to help me fix my door scratch that I did one week earlier. In addition, Raj taught me how to correctly wash my car and maintain my car after the service and introduce me the location to do touchless car washer, etc. The service that I got is beyond the money I paid. They have really great people and I think that makes a big difference. Raj is super chill and non-pressuring, and he talked me through everything I needed to know to make an informed decision. Throughout the process Raj texted me updates and pictures of each stage, and they went above and beyond to clear out many previously damaged water marks, scratches, and other residues from the paint than I had expected. Price wise I think this is the best bang for your buck - you can def find cheaper or more expensive places on yelp, but I think for the high caliber job they've done, this is the best option to optimize your utility and costs. The $500 cheaper option probably won't be nearly as good, and the $2000 more option probably isn't necessary for most people's non-exotic cars. read more

Amazing service and results! I really should have left this review much sooner. I am amazed. I am a first time brand new car owner, so wanted to make sure it stayed it as much of a tip top shape, so I wanted to get some ceramic coating on my car. A lot of places near SF ended up being extremely costly. Then I found MQP. Raj was extremely friendly and explained everything. He really tried to understand my needs when I was dropping the car off. When I came back to pick up my car, I was amazed at what they had done with the car. I mean, the car was pretty new (~2 to 3 months old I think? Maybe?). But boy was I wrong. The car was SHINY. What's more is because it did not require as much work for the prep work, Raj even gave me a discount. AND told me they like to do a year check and said would fix the coating if needed (provided it wasn't me like scratching it off or due to accident). In addition, he said to shoot him any questions I may have regarding taking care of my car and he has been extremely helpful and responsive. I am thinking of getting my girlfriend's car done here as well, but I gotta find a time when she's not using the car as much, since she's not really into this stuff as I am but once she sees the results, damn she's gonna love it.
